Idk if I would boycott but I would be very hesitant to purchase from them again.. especially with that SA. Its odd that the manager didn’t know about the situation when you had asked your SA more than once to speak to managment. So she basically never told them about the issue despite your request. That seems a bit shady to me and she ghosted you too! Yea… I would not want her making any commission off of me again. 😕
Yeah honestly that whole situation still confuses me 😵💫 Generally I try to give everyone the benefit of doubt, but after all this it will definitely take time to rebuild a relationship 🤧 Thank you so much for watching!! 💕
It's appalling that there are ANY issues at this level of price and *supposed* craftsmanship. A reminder that nowadays so much of high-end anything rides on the coattails of reputation that is no longer backed by quality and guarantees. I wouldn't boycott a brand, but I would try another jewelry house first.
Yes I completely agree; I had much higher hopes for graff because they were still family owned 🥹 really don’t understand how everything went wrong but it has taught me a lesson to be much more cautious moving forward! Thank you for watching 🥰
Thank you!! 💕 It’s so funny because normally I only get gel nails that can get quite pricy with art, but I randomly decided to buy these press on nails to try and they are now my most complimented nails to date! 🤣 The power of Sanrio is too cute 😚
Thank you for such a detailed showcase of our robes! The four sleepwear options cater to different style needs and make for a fantastic gift choice this season. Beautiful and comfortable robes are the perfect match for enjoying tea at home.❤
I’m so sorry that you had to go through that. I would probably take a long break from buying anything from them because it would take me a bit of time to trust in the quality of their products, but I’m glad that they finally fixed the issue and treated you well.
Thank you for watching and sharing your take on it!! 💕 I agree, I think I will take a pause on buying anything and see how the service continues during my monthly checks with them. If all seems okay I would want to continue a relationship with them, and hopefully they would also take any quality checks on future purchases much more seriously following this incident!
I haven’t heard about Graff before your videos, but I don’t know if I would trust the quality again. I am glad that you stood up for yourself and got the ring repaired! I would’ve gone for a half pave band to allow for resizing and I definitely think you should get it resized to the correct size smaller for you because you will wear it everyday and be more secure! If you shop at Graff again I think going through another SA would be a good idea or go to another boutique. ❤ love your videos and can’t wait to see more!
Thank you so much for your kind words and input!! 🥰 Yes definitely a crazy situation but I’m so glad I at least have some lovely ladies like you to help me get through it!! 💕🤭
We had my ring cast specifically in my size from the ordering point. My initial ring was a plain Tiffany setting in white gold, then when my setting came it, they set my diamond in it. So disappointing that there were so many issues for you. Glad it’s been resolved and that they took care of it and it looks great.
Yes I completely agree that rings should be cast to your size from the get go!! I was a little naive and just trusted graff to make the right decisions but the silver lining in all this is I am much more knowledgeable when it comes to jewelry thanks to advice from so many helpful subscribers 🥰 Thank you for watching!! 💕
Somehow I feel that the issue is not fully resolved because you still have missing pave diamonds in your ring… Sorry this has happened to you, esp when you are paying good money for the ring. I’m not sure about boycotting Graff, but I think it’s worth taking some time-out with them for a while…
Yes, definitely agree that a cool-down period is necessary; I’ve also gone back and forth whether or not to bring up the removed diamonds again but at this point I don’t want anyone touching my ring again 😵💫😵💫
What a saga! I am glad that you have a new and perfect ring at the end of the day. They do have a lot of beautiful pieces and I think so long as your ring holds up well, it would make sense to continue to shop there in the future. I actually wear the same type of coil on my ring and it stops it from spinning!
Thank you for watching!! I’m glad to hear a lot of people are on the same page that in the long run, they would continue shopping as long as service and quality continues to be excellent 🥹 I just learned about this coil and it’s such a life saver!! I also use it to fit my rings on different fingers now 💕 it’s such a must have!
I’ve enjoyed all these videos about your engagement ring - kudos to you for sticking to your guns! In the end, you ended up with a gorgeous engagement ring and I’m super happy for you 😊 I’m excited to see what other wedding jewelry you end up picking out! Will you do similar videos about the wedding bands you and Matthew end up selecting?
Thank you so much for watching and following along!! 🥰 I’ve posted one video on my TikTok about Harry Winston wedding band shopping, but if you’ve enjoyed my previous videos I will try to make a proper YT video about our wedding band shopping when we’re ready to purchase! 💕
The icon ring has a lot going on so I can understand that there may need to be more maintenance and room for error but! with their other more standard pieces I’ve never seen an issue! I wear my petite butterfly studs to death (with no issues) so I don’t want my experience to necessarily deter you from shopping graff 🥹 just make sure to check over your piece thoroughly!!
Sorry you went thru this crazy issue!!😢 this is a nightmare for anyone who is getting engaged and sth I havent imagined of happening with such highend brand. I am debating btw Graff vs HW for my own engagement ring currently and this video really made me wonder about Graff’s craftsmanship and service and will think over!
Omg congratulations on your upcoming engagement!! 🥹🥹 I don’t want my experience to scare anyone away from graff really because I do feel like my experience was so one-off, BUT I will say if you’re considering the icon, I think just due to its complexity it will require more maintenance than other rings in general. I’m heavily leaning towards HW for my wedding band! Do you know which style from both houses you might be interested in? 🥰
I would probably not purchase from them again, but I am so glad they remade your beautiful ring. What’s up with luxury brands the massive decline in quality lately? It’s getting on my nerves. You look stunning friend❤
Hehehe ty as always 🙈🙈 seriously luxury shopping just isn’t the same 😫 BUT this little experience has encouraged me to consider custom jewelry more so I’ve been having fun thinking about what creations I might make!! Will look to your jewelry for some inspiration 🤭🤭
I find that I have to bring my ring to get checked once a year, probably every since months is best. I find that center stone gets loose. I was on a cruise and my center stone started to make a rattling noise like 9 months after I brought it for service. The prongs had to get tightened. I know people have jewelry insurance to protect replacing center stones.
Oh wow!! Can I ask what setting style you have for your ring? I have heard that pave diamonds can get knocked loose easily but I didn’t know that was the case for center diamonds as well; knowing that I will be sure to get my ring checked more frequently even past these initial 6 months. Thank you for letting me know!! 💕
Fr experience it’s better to get your setting custom made or get it in the right size fr the beginning. I don’t like things being altered. It’s never the same. What my ex did was bought a really high end stone in a plain setting then asked me to go pick a setting I like.
Hi Somi, your new ring looks gorgeous! Sorry to hear what happened and glad it's solved. The situation is totally unacceptable and how they handle the situation before you go to contact corporate is appalling and very unprofessional. The SA or the artisan should know the design will have issue if you do resizing/adjustment in the first place; they should advise you to choose another design/ bespoke instead. A similar experience happened to me too, I SO an leather item in 2 tone colors, paid in full, however the artisan made it in one color without asking me. When the piece arrived, me and my SA were so shocked. Luckily the manager fully refund me but many months of waiting 😑 I use the coil loop thingy too to size down my ring too.
Omg what is the state of luxury these days?! The waiting time wasted, not to mention these ‘deposit required’ pieces are taking longer and longer to arrive 😭 Did you end up re-ordering the same piece?? Or do you feel less confident in this particular brand now 😭
Luxury these days is getting worse. Many brands take the fast & convenient route instead of doing their job properly. I didn't re-order another one, just bought something similar form another brand. I still buy from the brand but just not SO stuff.
The bottom line of the issues you had with your first ring is all about POOR craftsmanship. None of your diamonds should move, ever! They should be set securely--and done so the first time. In reality, your SA had no idea what she was doing or saying, and it's absolutely ridiculous that you had to go through all of this drama. On top of that, all the "quality checks" they did the second time around to "make sure it's done right" is what any reputable jeweler should do in GENERAL when making a ring. I know you're just starting out and don't know these things, but none of what happened should have happened whatsoever. It's just completely unacceptable. If I were you, I'd keep a really close eye on your diamond ring and check it regularly for loose stones, etc. Also, the setting for your pave diamonds is different the second time around. The first ring was set in a "shared prong" setting, which naturally exposes the sides of the diamonds. (intentionally) So, they just didn't do a good job setting them the first time. The second ring looks like they did more of a channel setting. Also, that is nonsense about them removing diamonds at the bottom of your ring for "stability" purposes. That's a joke! Any well-set eternity ring should never have "stability" issues, so them removing diamonds you paid for is uncalled for. Nonetheless, congrats on your engagement!!
Wow!! Thank you for this wealth of information!! Definitely wish I had some of this knowledge beforehand when my ring was first showing some issues 🥹 I’m monitoring my ring like a hawk now. Although this wasn’t the most pleasant experience, I’ve learned SO much about jewelry from all my lovely viewers who are so kind enough to look out for me 🥹 I am so grateful for that! Thank you for watching and for your well wishes! 🥰💕
@@Somidoshop, I feel bad for you and your fiance. I get so annoyed by jewelers who take advantage of customers by telling them things that are flat-out lies, acting like a defect on their end is normal, ghosting clients the way they did to you, and then trying to convince their clients that they're imagining things that are outright, obvious problems. I've been married for 36 years, have upgraded my ring 8 times, and everything you experienced is anything BUT normal--at least for a reputable jeweler...But there are still good guys out there. :) If you ever need help with anything (even though you don't know me from a rock), just let me know. Both my kids got engaged earlier this year, and I worked with my jeweler to have both their rings custom-made. They are GORGEOUS and high quality. :)
When you said the pave was spinning I was not surprised b cause that is the con of pave but when you mentioned the resizing it makes sense. I’m just sorry you had to go through all that.
Yes I wish I was advised by my SA that this could be a potential issue, but also I probably should’ve done more research on my own 😔 This was definitely a less than ideal learning experience, but I’m at least thankful that my ring looks great now! Thank you for watching 🥰💕
Graff chooses white gold for their pave piece as white gold shines more ‘white’ than platinum! Definitely platinum is more ideal for durability, but they do provide lifetime replating so I was okay with the white gold setting 🙂↕️
This made me so mad! It’s your engagement ring!! How can they not take you seriously?!?! I’m so happy to hear they made it right with you but honestly it should have been done right the first time. Glad they are being super on it now. It’s the most stunning ring!
Thank you!! 🥰🥰 Definitely can’t justify that this happened to begin with, but at least I’ve got an extra strong ring now 🤣 Thank you so much for watching!! 🥰💕
I had a similar situation where my Tiffany’s engagement ring had a loose diamond. I went to the flagship and they immediately took me to a private room and offered me a new ring/did I want a different diamond or different style. I work an office job so obviously I’m not doing any major hard labor. They didn’t blame me at all and said it was a quality control issue ( most likely because it was sized down about 3-4 sizes).
This is horrifying! I don’t think I could have trusted Graff with another major purchase. Being dodged by the SA is completely unacceptable. Did she think you were just going to go away if she kept ignoring you?? I cannot imagine anything like this happening at Cartier! 😂
Honestly yeah I’m not sure what she thought was going to happen 🥹😭 I have had unsavory experiences at my local Cartier where the SA has on multiple occasions lied about price increases and pressure me to purchase 😩 but at least I’ve never had any quality issues with my Cartier pieces! 🙈
Whaaaat? Okay I’m definitely all for the private jeweler route when I reach this period of life bc this is soooo embarrassing for Graff liiike? Edit: typo
Yes there days I have been looking more at private jewelers!! While I do love some creations from graff, I definitely question whether the price is worth it anymore 😭
You were making me nervous the way you were holding your Tokyo Starbucks mug in the video, I was afraid for you and your lovely silk robe. I am sorry to hear about your experience with Graff regarding your engagement ring situation. I am glad to hear when Matthew got involved and you both advised Graff you would be speaking with corporate, you both were taken very seriously. After hearing about your Graff experience, I am not sure I would want to do business with them. I would not be afraid to speak up, I had a recent experience with a luxury brand that a jewelry piece I wanted was ready for me to pick up-and it was not-even though I had the email saying it was there. I will spare you the gory details except to say other than receiving an apology and I would get my jewelry piece-they would rush it, I was not happy. I did contact corporate, gave them detailed information, the names of those involved, and how the whole experience made me feel. Needless to say, when I did get a text it was there, and I did come to pick it up, I felt bad for the manager attending to me as they had a look of trepidation on their face. I got plenty of chocolate, a glass of champagne, and my other jewelry cleaned. One of the SAs later thanked me for going to corporate as they tend to sweep things under the rug, I still go to unnamed luxury brand yet they make sure I have nothing but their best service when I am there-and there are some SAs who are afraid of me-some of them hide and make themselves scarce when they see me coming in the boutique.
Omg I’m so sorry you had to go through something similar!! It’s quite unfortunate that we need to bypass boutique management and go to corporate; I never understand why the boutique can’t handle it properly from the beginning without us having to go through extra hoops 😔 I’m glad to hear though that you still shop at that house and you are receiving good service! I do really love some graff pieces and I never want to think someone (ie my SA) is trying to be malicious…she was very apologetic afterwards and has always been sweet to me. I do think it will take some time to rebuild a relationship, but hopefully if all continue to go well like it has been for you, this will all become a distant memory 🤣 Thank you for sharing your story and for watching!! 💕💕 Looking back on the footage I’m also nervous watching my cup 🤣 Only while I was filming did I realize I can’t drink and yap at the same time so my cup stayed full 🤣
Poor craftsmanship, bad service until you said you would contact corporate, then treating you well afterwards. That’s how you should’ve been treated in the first place. Poor craftsmanship is the dealbreaker. So stressful too.
Yes nothing can really justify this experience 😭😭 nor can I still wrap my head around how this happened in the first place. I can only hope moving forward that if/when I need to interact with Graff they only provide top tier service 🥹
I spitted out my tea laughing when I saw the gift was a tea set. If you shop there again, there's no way they would mess up twice after they were so sorry....right?
Unacceptable behaviour from your SA. Graff is a premium designer and gave you rock bottom service. If Graff made up for their deplorable service, then no need to boycott BUT I would boycott your useless SA
Thank you for watching and for sharing your take!! 💕 I think in my head I’m subconsciously trying to make excuses and be understanding about the situation because I literally cannot make sense of how this could have happened at a brand like Graff 😭 I’m glad they did their best to fix the situation, but yes, I think I really need to consider how and with who I want to rebuild this relationship 😩
Yes honestly I am not sure how I feel about that 😭 I considered bringing it up but at this point I don’t want anyone touching my ring and I am ready to close this chapter of my life 🤣
You say your not confrontational but you seem to have experience with getting your way with corporate many times. Sometimes non confrontational persons make up with passive aggressions just a thought.
Hmmmm I don’t think these are passive aggressions! There was no aggression throughout this entire process-although I’m non-confrontational by nature, I can recognize when my approach isn’t being taken seriously and stand up for myself in an appropriate manner. Being non-confrontational doesn’t mean I’m not confident or assertive; it just means I always try to give the benefit of the doubt and be understanding first!
Don't listen to that person. You acted with grace and graciousness the entire time. As someone who's worked for boutiques, if we had messed up this bad, we could only hope for a customer to treat us with kindness and compassion but still hold us accountable for our big mistake. Not only did she help the retailer tremendously, since these issues were big enough to hurt their brand, but now her SA can have more confidence that she helped resolve a big issue, save the sale, and she doesn't have to have the embarrassment or misery that goes along with working for a retailer that doesn't deliver. Keep in mind she's the one on the front lines and she's the one that has to deal with the unhappy customers. The less of those they have the better. So you did everyone a favor.

The pink one I’m wearing is the long version (50.4in) and the short one I showed is (36.2in)! I’m 5’7 for reference 🥰

Yes there days I have been looking more at private jewelers!! While I do love some creations from graff, I definitely question whether the price is worth it anymore 😭
@@Somidoshop In this economy, no. 🤷🏾♀️🫠
It’s quite unfortunate that we need to bypass boutique management and go to corporate; I never understand why the boutique can’t handle it properly from the beginning without us having to go through extra hoops 😔
I’m glad to hear though that you still shop at that house and you are receiving good service! I do really love some graff pieces and I never want to think someone (ie my SA) is trying to be malicious…she was very apologetic afterwards and has always been sweet to me. I do think it will take some time to rebuild a relationship, but hopefully if all continue to go well like it has been for you, this will all become a distant memory 🤣
Thank you for sharing your story and for watching!!
Graff seems very unreliable to me now I must say.
Yes I am very sp00ked to say the least 😩
Had a similar experience here in Australia with my ring too
Oh no!! From graff as well??
I spitted out my tea laughing when I saw the gift was a tea set.
If you shop there again, there's no way they would mess up twice after they were so sorry....right?
I know so ironic 🤣🤣 You would THINK that nothing would happen again but I didn’t think this would even happen in the first place 😭😭
They remedy the situation, I would not boycott the brand
I saw some graff pieces in person recently, and I was not impressed overall. I’m sorry this happened to you.
Honestly they are charging you so much per carat of diamonds the fact that they took some out I would be outraged
Yes honestly I am not sure how I feel about that 😭 I considered bringing it up but at this point I don’t want anyone touching my ring and I am ready to close this chapter of my life 🤣
I will not go with them!
So so shocking !
