Your ring is BEAUTIFUL!🌟 Thank you for walking us through your thought process and experience ring shopping! Can't wait to hear more about the Graff drama👀
This was such a great, informative video! I loved hearing your thought process from choosing the vendor, diamond specs, design details, and why you ultimately chose that specific style. The ring is gorgeous and agree that this is probably the best halo design I’ve seen.
Thank you for watching!! 💕 Ring shopping can definitely be overwhelming at first so I hope hearing about my experience can help someone in their search! 🙆🏻♀️ The graff halo definitely mesmerized me from day 1 🤣
So beautiful ❤❤ the ring is so luxurious. The unique design suits you so well. Thanks for showing us this stunning piece. The beautiful ring detail is visible inside and outside of the hand. Love that!!!
Awww thank you so much!! I’m so happy I could share the selection process and my engagement with my RUclips family 🥹 it makes it that much more special! 💕
Graff’s icon setting is honestly THE perfect halo setting! I really love how particular you are about the tiny details because I think that’s ultimately why we choose and love (and overpay for 😅) our rings. I ultimately went with Tiffany only because their rose gold tone is the only one that looks good on me but no one would understand lol. I really loved that I could watch your journey so congrats to you both!!
Thank you so much!! 🥰🥰 I completely agree Tiffany’s rose gold is the perfect shade of pink 💕 I was actually so torn in the very beginning whether or not I also wanted a rose gold engagement ring because most of my jewelry is rose gold! But I’ve just embraced wearing white gold on my left hand and wearing rose gold on my right hand now 🤣 Thank you so much for being here with me along this journey, I truly love my RUclips family!! 🥹
First, your ring is gorgeous! Second, sorry for all the drama! It’s so frustrating to be excited for something and then have all these hiccups along the way! Sounds like you handled everything very well & glad you finally (I know part 2 is coming) have it back!
Hehehe thank you!! I’m sure in a few years time I’ll forget all of this even happened 🤣 but I’m so glad that I had my RUclips family to celebrate my engagement with even with all the ring issues! 💕💕
Thank you!!! 🥹💕 so nice to hear other people are liking the design, I had multiple people tell me that halos are so tacky and outdated before I selected 😫
Thank you!! 💕💕 I do really like the ribbon band and truly band from Harry Winston 🤭 but I’ll have to think carefully about how it fits together with my engagement ring since they don’t sit completely flush 😫 Will update as I go! 🥰
I can soo relate to you! From my own ring shopping experiences too that I noticed that what sets one jeweler apart from the others is the experience I got and how they made me feel. I want a sales associate who really wants my business and is willing to work with me on this process. Some I came across just didn’t seem to care enough and you can tell from the first appt!
I’m so glad you understand!! Diamonds are relatively the same wherever you go 😫 definitely what sets one jeweler apart from another is how they curate your experience! What style of ring did you end up choosing?? 🥰
Girl, I went to Harry Winston as well and it was not the best experience. Very knowledgeable but they were speaking to me like I didn’t know what a diamond was 😂 I think once brands fall under LVMH, they get bougie in a weird way. Not an authentic, elegant way.
I also love a classic solitaire, I wear it on other fingers but for my engagement ring I did a halo as well. I have a princess diana style but with a yellow diamond in the center instead of the her classic sapphire.
Wow that must be a STUNNING ring!! 🤩🤩 I’ve tried on some canary diamonds and they are soooo beautiful; I would also love to add a colored diamond to my collection one day! 🥰
Hi Somin! Honestly this is the perfect ring for you. Looks stunning on your hand!😍 I’m so glad you went back in and put your foot down letting them know that the setting is off. Just like you stated you’re spending a lot of money and it needs to PERFECT! Also, thanks for sharing your experiences at all the different jewelry houses you went to. Because I would love to one day go visit them, however I’m always worry I would get a bad experience so therefore I never made any effort to make an appointment. And just hearing your experiences just confirms it.😅 Nevertheless your ring is beautiful and since in travel to Japan in November I’ll make a note to stop at the Harry Winston there!😂
Thank you for always being with me every step of the way on this journey 🥹🥹 I do recommend SF VCA 100% though if you do need to fulfill your jewelry needs 🤣 and omg your trip is coming up so soon!! November will be PERFECT weather; a couple of my friends are there now and say it’s still hot 😩 I’m sure you’ll loooove ginza, the graff and Harry Winston at both were impeccable! I have all my Japan vlog footage filmed and I WILL post it as I get through editing…so sorry it’s taken so long but definitely want it to be up before you go in case you need any recommendations!!
@@Somidoshop ommggg yessss I still need to stop by SF VCA! I was planning to visit the one in Tokyo.😂 I wasn’t sure what to pack I was planning to bring thick jacket/coat, but I’m glad you said it’s still hot! I guess that means I get to bring more goodies back home!😂 ommggg yes please!!! I would love to see your Japan vlog! I really want to check out the vintage/second hand shops and see if I can find anything good with a good pricing.😅 Did you go check out any vintage shops?
Graff preferentially sets their pave diamonds in white gold as it is ‘whiter’ than platinum and helps the diamonds shine! I was a bit concerned at first since white gold is softer than platinum and can get damaged/scratched more easily, but Graff provides free lifetime replating so I was okay with their white gold setting!
Bummer about your experience at Harry Winston. I went there several times when shopping for my ring and we had a very nice experience there. Maybe it’s just the boutique that you went to.
Does San Francisco have a diamond district like New York and LA? For 17,000 you can get a tennis bracelet and a whole look for wedding jewelry. We have a diamond district in New York a lot of people go to.
SF used to have a larger diamond district but not anymore…now we have two buildings next to each other that have a few family-owned jewelers 🥹 I go to them for any of my goldsmithing needs but it does not compare to the bigger city districts!
Thank you for watching!! 💕 Physics was not my favorite subject so I’m not sure I described it very well 🤣 and of course it’s subjective as well which diamond sparkles most to you!! I’m glad I could somewhat articulate my thoughts though!
It’s a pretty ring. I just hope people do their research before they decide to buy a diamond from stores like Graff of Tiffany. The diamonds are way over priced and any little extras are calculated in the price. A brick and mortar store will charge more and at the end of the day you are paying for the name not a better diamond. Also you should expect a AGS or GIA report when you purchase a diamond engagement ring. Diamond professionals don’t even have Graff, Tiffany or Cartier on their list.
Yesss definitely a high markup on all luxury jewelry brands; I always tell my friends if they’re looking for a standard design (like a solitaire) they should always go lab grown/independent jeweler! I believe GIA certificate is standard across these brands but yes you should always make sure to review it!

It’s probably one spot for the wedding band and another spot for the engagement ring. I thought graff gave people wine as gifts
We received wine a bit later! A Chardonnay from their South African estate 🤣
What color and clarity did you end up choosing?
I ended up choosing f color vs1 clarity!
Were you thinking about choosing a platinum band? Did you ask? And why did you choose the white gold over the platinum?
