WOW, with all your respect , Radios come with power cables Red and Yellow, they have to be connected separately Yellow to constant and red to ignition and never use masking tape to cover the wires of the installation, it looks the previous installed did that. the radio comes with a blue wire that is for the power antenna and that's were you should had connected the red wire from the antenna and the ignition positive you found in the harness , you should had used it to connect the red wire from the radio. leaving the radio power at all times drains the battery over nite, by doing that the radio will also rest when the car is off and will extent the life of the unit

That was my question. With all the wires inside the the dash , you would think there would be some interference. That's why antennas were originally mounted outside of the car.

May i ask....one wire should go to the possitive of the radio? and ground to ground? i have the same anntena !

I has the same antenna like yours..but I still dont have clear sound.It got "ssssssssss" sound..is the antenna need to be near the radio?

@@frankcumaio8328 the ground recently i put it on the rear view mirror screw and my roof got some rusts😵 maybe that cause the ssssss sounds

Aren't all antennae electronic?
For altezzas and is200/300 all are electronic. But mine the circuit board was broken
