@@ayngelina The rice in tropical areas generally has lower starch content compared to the more sticky and dense short grain rice from northern asia. So it gets digested very quickly for energy and you would have noticed that in south asia, they are really generous with those mountains of rice!
Too generous. And it’s not that I dislike the taste of rice. I just find I get bloated and still hungry. I found the same in Latin America. I would ask if I could have no rice and more beans.
Wood apple juice is one of the best drink for me.. some people sell em at roadsides or at juice bars there. Try making it .. Pinch of salt, sugar, some water and mix it with the wood apple pulp ( blend everything ) Same method like making other juices.. You can remove the seeds if you want..but we can chew them. It has the ability to cooling down the body or warm it up. Dont really remember 😅

You could also visit Maradana and see the city's oldest train station, or take a walk through Viharamahadevi Park and enjoy some delicious Sri Lankan vanilla and strawberry ice cream at Jagro. There’s so much more to discover in this vibrant city.

First day with the money! He thought he gave 100 but when I realized it was 1000 I thought the women deserved it because they were so kind to us and said we owed them nothing. But hilariously what we didn’t get on camera was when we paid for the faluda and some snacks they said to us 940 but he really didn’t know the money yet and tried to pay them 9.40 🤣 he thought he deserved change from a 20 and they were trying to explain he needed to pay more!

Woodapple is usually enjoyed with vanilla icecream, then its like fruity yogurt drink. Its best if you had a hot day in the busy streets or on safari
