Visited the great new shop in Oceanside on a drive down from LA to SD. Many thanks to the super friendly staff who helped me choose a Mid Length Crisis which as luck would have was on sale!! The board is now on its way to NYC to finish out the winter season. Looking forward 🌊
This board loves to be ridden as single. Also not really riding it fully off the tail. It wants to be surfed from the center of the board as the tail is so chippy if you're right on the tail you can get a boggy feel.
Agree with this assessment, the board definitely bogs down when riding from the tail . Turning is also a very different feeling as well. Have not tried it single fin yet but will give it a try. It performs much better in hollow vice mushy waves definitely not a groveler.

I want one but alas I am in Nicaragua so Phantom on!
Do you recommend ordering this based on volume or height (i.e. 12" over your height)?

Have you surfed other mid lengths, or mals? Im in the market for one of these but Ive heard good things about Al Merrick Water Hog.

Hi, if you are surfing with side bites, does it matter how far forward or back the centre fin is? Thanks
