I feel like it might be cure wink that's from another world coming on earth. Cure idol is like a normal girl that wants to become an idol. She meets cure wink by coincidence who is followed by the mascots. They both want to become idols and Cure idol could be best friend with cure kyun kyun and asks her to join them so they form a group

You mean mascots that don’t become human? I think getting a human form can still make a mascot good, like for example Siren from Suite and Milk from Yes5 both had human forms that were still good.

If that is what a best mascot is, that makes me sad. The mascots in Heartcatch etc actually have deep purpose in the story.

As you said so yourself, they aren't treated well by the story and made unimportant, but we still love them. I think the writers also said they make them like that because Laura was already there before them and before becoming a Cure she was the one who guided the Cures to their goal like every main fairy/mascot has done.
I think actual precure mascots usually are VERY relevant to the plot, the one exception I can remember is Kururun in Tropical Rouge and that's why we love them so much lol

Kind of hoping You and Idol Precure might at least follow the pattern of some occasional made idol units in female centred cast Idol franchises. I feel like. The cures will be different color. Probably again main Blue cure as cure idol fits more with the blue star. Purple with Cure wink and ESPECIALLY kyunkyun fits perfectly with the heart. As there are two hearts in the logo. With kyun being something like a heartbeat and having repeated twice for cure's name. The similar sounding names of maskots give me impression of being black and white maskots since two hearts appear in the logo. But these are just my theories

i can't possibly choose only one favorite idol girl group 😭 i'll tell the 5 ones listen the most now: ATARASHII GAKKO, TWICE, Tokisen, E-girls (specially Happiness) and KARA! (also love f5ve so so dearly but i didn't include cuz some people might not consider them idols, anyways my gay icons!!)

It feels ironic, but I cannot bring myself to imagine that irony being clever or subversive because "mother" is still the other thing little girls are intensely pressured to be so it doesn't really feel like being liberated of the pressures of idols...
It really depends on how Precure will handle it, but the only reason why I said there might be a baby is there's gonna be a carrier type of merch but that was also present for Komugi for example so it can just be a cute animal 🩷

That's strange, the Deluxe broche set is probably something else maybe the other cures trinkets because the leak doesn't have any pouch and civilian forms doesn't usually wear the device pouch only the mascot carrier. Also the headset is not featured on the leak either and if it's sold in the first wave of toys it's means it's prevalent in the cure design.
