Hey Alex, I've just been through a bunch of your videos.
I'm currently working on a screenplay (movie) that has a rather large segment involving jet fighters and aircraft carrier landings and such. I'd love to pick your brain if you had a few minutes. I'm not a professional screenwriter so the script will probably go nowhere, but I'd like to get it technically accurate.

Brings back memories. My last Westpac was 1988 aboard Carl Vinson and i didnt finish that cruise. I left the ship in Diego Garcia for my shore duty at NAS Memphis. The Airwing back then looked a lot different from now. Had zero F-18s. I think Midway was the only one with F-18s as her Flight Deck was to small for Tomcats.

question if you don't mind: do you know of any ways for the Navy to cover the cost of eye surgery (or do you see them covering it in the future)? I'd need it to qualify for my medical and I know the Army and Air Force will pay for it, but it seems the Navy doesn't. I already have an FAA 1st class, but I doubt they'd care. Just wanted to see if you knew anything-thanks!
I do know that the Navy will pay for it after you are already in the service, but I don’t see them paying for it prior to joining.

CV-63 Was my home on westpacs,The shitty kitty. It's been about 45 years but as I remember flight ops went:
1) Awacs
2) Seahawks
3) Growlers
4) The Cats

Most likely the F model, the others were all retired except the E I believe but look it up
