I love this talk, but I struggle that living with a heavy burden that is no one's fault is not mentioned. I hope in conference next week to hear from the Lord words of comfort as the world feels like it's out of your control, as sickness of no one's choosing takes away so much of you. You know that is how you are built up. But it is hard not to hear mention of chronic illness from speakers when so much floats around it but doesn't quite relate. I know My saviour understands and one day the world will too.
This talk has been brought to me many times, in the past while, I believe, by the Holy Spirit. .....Scared by the ugly sin of abuse.....mental abuse can be the cause of serious consequences. Seek the aid of your bishop so the Lord can free you of a burden that you did not originate. ......those promptings are an invitation from the redeemer. Act upon them...NOW. HE loves you. HE gave HIS life that you may be free of needless burdens ...... Began NOW. I write these things because I keep feeling like I need to heed the message now, but I keep second guessing myself because of the "nice things" that are also said and done by my abuser.
I carry heavy Burdens, that I feel are literally Killing me, I'm filled with Mom worries! Carrying this for 12 years now! Not sure how long I can take all of this!
Mothers want to protect their children this is a given. Heaven Father wants to as well but knows that over protection does not allow for un restrictioned growth. If he over protected his son he would not have died for our sins. We have to allow for mistakes. We can only teach and hope children follow. Has for any suffering they have in life eternal it will be considered a short time. Much like how every kid wishes they could be older to do more stuff. Then when they are older it becomes known life here is short. Worry not for in life enternal the Father has your back. Just follow the commandments which are protections and things in the eternity mind set (life) will be well.
Gentle persuasion with meekness and lowliness of heart, this is the Lord's way. Simple yet truthful and very powerful. This is for us today ,as well in former days.
Remember everyone to trust the Lord! Even though times change, he and his word does not. Think of him always and he's trying as you are. But always keep his commandments! That is the way back to him
Heavenly Father loves us and always waiting for us to follow him. Real peace can only be found in him if we will only trust him. Jesus Christ is not only my redeemer but my bestfriend as well. He never let me down. I love them with all my heart.
The best 17 minutes I could have spent. Why wouldn't we believe and come unto Christ? When it gets down to it, every person who has ever lived needs to know and enjoy this life; just believe in Christ and let it go.
I feel overwhelmed by many life's burdens and I try to work out everything I'm going through it's just the lonliness that gets the best of me bc of not haveing a partner to come home everyday or family members to hear my voice of inspiration. Soo I do struggle with lonliness every day without a partner in crime in my life to love.
I'm sorry to say but this is the first talk that I have to disagree with you do not live in the proper world all those things you just described true friends happiness that stuff does not exist in this world there are no true friends in this world
