  • 🦅😃 Explorer 3,8 meter F5j glider.
    Flying my new secondhand NAN Explorer 3,8 meter for the first time.
    There was no motor in the glider when I bought it yesterday and I could not wait to fly it so it had to have the maiden flight on the slope today😃🍻 I will get a motor for it in a week or so 🤛😃

    I have only flown my Explorer in flat land thermals, nice to see one on a slope. Thanks for posting.

    The hovering part was so satisfying!... 🙂
    The wind seems to have been just right.

    Hi SpeedsterDen, is this the Exporer 3 and that is the AUW? Thanks, Roel

    • @SpeedsterDEN
      @SpeedsterDEN  2 года назад

      Yes, Here I fly it without of the motor on the maiden flight, but now with the motor the auw with 1000 mha batt is 1350 gram.

    I used to fly nothing but slope. Didn't realize how much I missed it until right this moment. Are there plans for a kit? Are you selling plans?

  • @softmechanics3130

    Great. I plan to order this plane sometime in the future as it is below 2kg and thus doesn't require complicated registration. Will it work with a 2830 or 3536 motor at 4S? The recommended motors are too expensive,Thanks.

    • @SpeedsterDEN
      @SpeedsterDEN  2 года назад

      There is only room for a 28 mm diameter motor, and best if It is a inrunner with wires out the back end

      @@SpeedsterDEN Then I will build a clone with 2830 motor

    @speedserDen - How would you rate / compare this to your ArtHobby Fleet?

    • @SpeedsterDEN
      @SpeedsterDEN  3 года назад +1

      It is like flying a 4 meter DLG, easy to fly well and the performance is better. But you can get 3 x Silent or 4 x Odyssey for the prize of one Explorer 😳

      @@SpeedsterDEN Awesome flying! Thank you for posting! So the $2,500. question is, "Will those cheaper models fly as well"?
