Gorgeous looking bikes, I wish some UK companies would take a page out the Wyatt handbook and start producing some fats, but over here we've got Graham Foot at Slam 69 and his Henderson bikes, and then custom builders like Stooge. You should reach out to the guys at Whatta Bike Shop to see if they'll send you a Mammoth Brutus G7 to review, lol. 👍👍
I love the look of the Stooge frames. There was a used one for sale recently that I was tempted to snag, but I've already got too many in my shop right now haha
Great review as always! I agree about the second bottle mount, luckily Twofish makes an excellent cage adapter that works great and there are other brands as well. You mentioned the weight of this bike being average for a fatbike, what is the actual number you got? Thank you
I'm 99.9% sure I weighed it multiple times, but can't find the pictures I took. I want to say that with suspension it was ~36 pounds with the fat wheelset (with tubes) and between 32 and 33 with the 29+. With the rigid fork you can take 2.5 pounds off of that.
One question I have is how does this compare to a Surly ICT? I have been riding mine for a few years now, and it is a blast. I do like that Waytts are 100% made in the US, though, and you can call and most likely talk to Wyatt.
This has a much more modern geometry/fit to it, much better rear drop out system, and is aluminum not steel. I had an ICT (first version) for a year or two and it was a fun bike, but I'd personally pick the Maverick over it.
@@RideYearRound That is good to know. I suppose I will be putting up the ICT for sale and ordering a Wyatt Mav. I think they are about 2-3 weeks out on shipping as of now. I am sure it will be worth the wait. I am in NW Montana.

Love to see Wyatt getting some attention. Agreed with sizing they run big. Higher stack compared to most other fatbikes is nice too

Interesting. I have a small size maverick with mastodon fork and 27.5x4.5 and weighs close to 38lbs.
Tubeless? What wheels and drivetrain are you running?
