This was one of the most honest conversations concerning fitness I've ever seen on youtube. You sir just acquired a new subscriber. These two guys are awesome. Thank you!
Glad to see Danny on here! My weight loss started after first seeing O2B, then Danny! Thank you so much for the motivation! I haven't lost as much weight as most.. but I did go from 227 to 163 thanks to you guys (including Brian)!
I relate to a majority of this story. I was always bigger then average but not obese. I never liked working out and still dont it terrifies me to go to a gym. Once high school started and my sexuality was more out there is when physical and verbal bullying took place and I turned to food for comfort. I never became obese because in the Gay dating community if you are even average they still consider you fat, because the stereotype is that we should all be ripped and shredded or else you wont find someone. I went on a few weightloss journeys but it was never for myself, it was to please others. I remember one time a guy told me to lose 30 pounds from my face before I could even speak to him. Ever since going vegan, and getting away from high school a few years ago, my currently weight loss journey has been amazing... I still should go to a gym and could lose another 20 lbs. You should never lose weight because you are pressured by others or feel like you have to change for them. You should change for yourself, so that you can feel good, look food and be healthy.
This is what's so great about your story and RUclips! As you transformed yourself you area guiding light and inspiration to other people. Beautiful!!!!
Hey Brian I'm really diggin this type of video (a la podcasts) Do more please! I know inspire a lot of people (myself included) and hearing other people's stories is such a motivating drive. Keep it up man! Hope to workout with you again soon!
I got so excited seeing that Danny is on your channel, I follow him on multiple social media, and its great you guys are collaborating. Was feeling a little hesitant starting the video because it was so long, but it was worth it, completely.
Listening to this helps me a little. I'm the same, I can't just eat the same thing everyday because I like a lot of different stuff, and I do find myself eating out every once in a while, so I'll probably follow what this guy is doing, because I really need to lose weight. I'm on the brink of developing sleep apnea, I have knee pains from old injuries, I have a hard time sleeping comfortably, and the list goes on. I have to lose 100 lbs, so yeah, I love these weight loss videos.
Man, I can relate in the sense that I used to be slightly slightly chubby then shot up to almost 300 pounds around the end of college. Gaining weight really makes you feel isolated and depressed sometimes because of the shame you feel and lost sense of confidence. I'm on my own journey right now to get fit and help others gain confidence and self esteem back but it's a long and hard journey. Love hearing personal stories like yours because a lot of people can relate. Best of luck brother and keep being a rock for others to look up to!
This was very heart felt story! I am gladness this was posted Brian Thanks for allowing this amazing guy tell his story I am sure this will inspire many people to transform there body.. anyway all the best 😊👍
I have that quiet voice. You guys, along with John motivate the s#!t out of me. I can appreciate many of the places you are all coming from. Thanks for going public with your journeys 😆
Imagine your comfort zone like your home planet. If your want to leave it, at first, the gravity is going to be the strongest and your chances of being pulled back down are greater. Just keep pushing, knowing that eventually, your strength will be much greater than the pull of the comfort zone.
Thank you so much for this video. I now subscribe to Danny, I love his personality. Now it's time to binge watch all his videos and learn about his weight loss journey. :) PS: Yes, I am totally one of your subscribers. You have the coolest fucking friends!!!
Don't understand what I am doing wrong. I went from zero activity at all to walking and standing at work 5 days a week. Then I added on 2 hours of exercise a day for 3 months cut out most of the junk food and somehow I lost 0lbs? I don't get how I can change that much activity and lose nothing. I built mostly just endurance... I have available rowing machine, free weights, bench press, bicycle, elliptical, cardio and kenpo DVDs. What exercise should I focus on most? Should I do more heavy weights or more reps? I can't seem to lose any weight and going from zero activity to 2hrs a day I should be seeing tons but noting it s so frustrating.
While these are pretty cool (and I know most people suffer from being overweight, rather than the other problem) I and others like myself am/are naturally skinny. It's very hard to find genuine stories of building muscle into a respectable physique that aren't also augmenting the process with gear since it takes a long time otherwise (looking at u Vince DelMonte). I mean, Jon Venus and yourself were still pretty athletic even before you began your journeys. Just speaking for us ectomorphs here, I'd like to see some stories of skinny-to-muscular. We see a lot of the fat-to-buff, which is of course highly commendable, just difficult for skinny guys with fitness goals to relate to and draw inspiration from.
Hey! thanks so much man, was awesome to film this video with you. See you in december.
