DJI Mavic Air 1 in 2024

I just bought the original DJI Mavic Air and think this is the best budget drone you can buy for under 300 euro.
Pros of this drone:
- 4K 24/30fps video at 100mbps
- RAW photos
- Photo Bracketing for HDR
- Stable and good wind resistance
- Proximity sensors all around
Cons:
- Easy to loose connectivity with the remote (but it records the take off point and returns to it on its own if the connection cant be reestablished)
- Cant fly far (max 2km if there are no obstacles that would affect connection
- Battery life only 15-20 minutes
I recently landed a client video shoot that required drone footage and quickly realised that hiring a drone operator would quickly shrink the budget for this project, so I started checking the used market for a good drone that would not break the bank. My needs were simple: 4k video, a decent codec, ability to take raw photos, and decent stability in windy conditions. After a bit of looking around I came to the conclusion that the original DJI Mavic Air was the best option for me and managed to get one for only 200 euro. I was surprised to see that the drone was in amazing condition, the battery had only gone through 30 cycles and everything worked perfectly. After a few test flights I was ready for my shoot.
I was really impressed with the quality of the footage (in good light) and how easy and intuitive it was to fly.
Definitely still a great option for anyone looking for a good drone!

Bought it in 2023 as my first drone. And I have been using it since 2023. Like it. The best drone for its price

I bought this drone new in 2018, I now have the Air 2 and the Mini 3 and this is still my favorite drone I own. Good choice!
Since I made this video I have really abbused this drone and its still holding up well. I managed to crash it 3 times already but it just does not care, just keeps flying.
You are very right on that! It is the best first drone one can have! Still very relevant on 2024 for sure. Still the best mini drone

I own a red Mavic air and have loved it, but was considering upgrading to the smaller and more up to date mini 3 pro.
Yeah the mini pro looks attractive to me too. Great quality for such a small drone 🤔

I regret selling my air 1 such a great compact drone full of great features yes range and noise is an issue but still one of the best made solid little bit of engineering..new sub from me.

If you adjust your channel settings manually then you will get much further this drone is capable of 3 mi out and 3 me back with no issues...
I have a video posted of me going over 10,000 ft easily with no video break up... But I am also in FCC mode which is over 1 w of output power from the

I cant see Mavic air model on the Current DJI Fly application when trying to connect…

Hol, las baterias no se puedon comprar nuova asy que no estan en producion, la compre por wallapop aqui en espana. Por la brujula tengo que hacer la calibracion mas meno toda la veces que voy a usar el drone.
