I have never used the X-T2 so I could not really tell. Judging from the specs i would say for video it definitely is, for photos I don't know.

unfortunately I don't have the X-T4 with me anymore, but from my experience video quality is completely the same, no real difference as its the exact same sensor and processor.

@@perhat22photo Thanks for the reply. I mean comparing the xt3 and the xt4 to the Xh2-s. What I'm seeing it seems like the dynamic range and quality of the Xh2s just seems a lot better

@@MatthewHatjakes i missread the first comment. X-H2s video quality is definetely much better, flog 2 and gives much better gynamic range, the stacked sensor takes out most of the rolling shutter, and colors are even better as its 4:2:2 10-bit compared to 4:2:0 10 bit on the xt3/4. Still not a huge difference in terms of immage quality but definetely a stepup. For me the biggest upgrade is usability and ease of use when it comes to the body design and speed of the camera.

thanks for watching. honestly I have almost no experience using multi af. Used it once on the X-S10, it did not manage to focus on the subject (only one person in frame, 18-55 f2.8) and the whole 17 minute interview clip was out of focus. since then I never used multi again. As for the noise, yes the x-h2s is slightly noisier but its to be expected, as its a stacked sensor they tend to be a bit worse with that.

​@@perhat22photo I dont know about xs10 , i only used xt3 xt4 and xh2s. On xt3 all my headshot/model videos were with multi+faceye and never hunted with speed -1 tracking +3.

the X-H2s is defintetely quite a bit better than the X-T4, but its not such a huge advantae as one might think. for the way I shoot the main improvements are with video. The IBIS seems to be better but not by too much, eye af is definetely better but again, I only ever use it if I only have one subject in frame and I can say that the X-T4 keeps up in those situations. At the end of the day both are good, depends on your needs and wants.

yeah not sure how far you can downgrade the xs20. I agree this was really good, but as soon as you start introducing multiple people in the frame it starts getting a bit messy 😅

I tried tracking twice before downgrading, was atrocious both times. As for normal af, its again better on the old firmware from my use, but yeah the biggest difference is eye af.

yeah fujifilm really lost the plot, they keep putting new gear out and ignoring fixing what they already have.

If youre not because of removing the battery while its on try putting it on a usb c charger overnight, just let it sit plugged in for a while, might help charge the internal battery for some time

@@perhat22photo it has happened after transferring photos over Bluetooth. The camera freezes and becomes unresponsive, so the only thing to do is remove the battery. I only charge it over usb c, but I’ll try to leave it plugged in for a while

yeah it has been discontinued. You can still find them used everywhere. At this point an x-t4 is probably the safer bet. I recently put out an X-T4 review if you want to take a look: ruclips.net/video/GWYcD0Fd0KU/видео.html

I don't think there are any issues with the newest X-T4 firmware, so you should be able to use that one without issues.

uffff good question. My favourite focal lenght and lens right now is the fujinon 23mm f1.4, but if I could only have one I would want something more versatile so I would probably go for the Sigma 18-50 f2.8, best compromise. Small enoug to bring everywhere, cheap enough to not have to baby it, and great image quality

Yeah I get you. I was stressing put quite a bit doing it, but knowing other people have done it succesfully with the x-h2s gave me the courage to do it. I have not really looked into it for the xt5, have people been downgrading it as well?

I would rather go for the viltrox, as i enjoy going a bit wider rather than tighter and thing the 27 (40mm full frame) would be more versatile for me

Yes, its starting to get difficult because there are no 3rd party ones and dji is not producing new ones for the air. There are some people repairing dead batteries which is nice, but not many people know how to do it. The issue is that its not just a basic battery, it has a bunch of stuff in it and you turn the actual drone on with the button on the battery. I have 3 batteries at the moment but once those die i will move to a newer drone.

@@perhat22photo Good to know. DJI is counting on customers to keep buying new stuff through obsolescence. FWIW, I saw a video where an Arduino board is somehow used to bring life back to Air batteries.

No, ideally always keep a charged battery in it. This should help preserve the life of the internal memory battery which is attached to the camera board

Better than firmware 7.00 in my opinion. More reliable especially for video. I agree in regard to the cameras in general, my xh2s with firmware 1.03 is better but with 6.01 and 7.00 it was not

@@perhat22photo yeah the 40mp sensor doesn't really appeal to me either. In fact, I met a guy who was using the X-T5 as well as owning an X-T3. He told me he found the 26mp sensor to be a little sharper which surprised me.

Might also depend on glass, but honestly 26mp is more than enough. I really dont understand the chasing sharpness thing 🤷‍♂️

​@@perhat22photo yep the 26.1 sensor is outstanding and arguably legendary status:). Also, as you probably found out, the X-T4 and the Tamron 17-70 are an awesome match. Mega impressed with how good the AF is, let alone the image quality. In fact, the autofocus on the Tamron is just as fast with the X-T4 as the Fuji 70-300, even though it has the linear motor. Just hope Tamron release a firmware update similar to the 70-300 to make it close to parfocal 🤞.

Was this after a firmware update or just randomly? If its just random I would try a hard reset, just popping the battery out and back in, might help.
