What an amazing video i have genuinely so much to learn about the isma'ilis, as kids we'd always be given sensationalistic generalizations of different sects of Islam in order to downplay or worse ridicule and excommunicate based on their differences and this in turn breeds hate and ignorance so i commend you greatly for sharing this with all of us and hopefully this can make some heads think critically of their presuppositions.

@khabibgt6688 Your Sunni beliefs are inherently filled with paradoxes that even a young child can notice. Muawiyah who was appointed by the third Caliph through nepotism as the governor of Syria rebelled against Ali R.A. and sought to take the caliphate as his own and turn it into a hereditary Ummayyid dynasty. Yet you claim such actions were just following the Sunnah of the prophet. How brain dead can an ideology be to commemorate BOTH sides of the conflict and claim that BOTH were righteous? Unlike you I won't claim that Sunnis are not muslim but they certainly have been led astray into commemorating the very Munafiqin which the Quran condemns. Praising the literal murderers of the Ahlul Bayt is the end result of your deviated sect.

There was no Prophet after the Rasul ﷺ . That already takes away some of the deviant groups.
There are no "infallible imams" or any infallible humans after the Prophets...that already takes away the Shi'is...
Out of the Shias the closest to the Sunnis are the Zaydis.
The Zaydi Shia are considered to be one of the closest branches of Shia Islam to Sunni Islam in terms of beliefs and practices. This is due to several reasons, including:
      - The Zaydi Shia accept the first three caliphs (Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman) as legitimate leaders of the Muslim community after the death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and they do not consider them as usurpers or illegitimate rulers. This is similar to the Sunni belief.
      - The Zaydi Shia reject the concept of taqiyya (dissimulation), which is the idea that a Muslim can conceal his or her true beliefs under certain circumstances. Taqiyya is a controversial concept within Shia Islam, and the Zaydi Shia reject it, which is similar to the Sunni belief.
      - The Zaydi Shia place a strong emphasis on social justice and the rights of the people, which is similar to the Sunni belief.
      - The Zaydi Shia do not have a hierarchy of clerics like other Shia branches, and they give more importance to the community as a whole in making decisions, which is similar to the Sunni belief in the importance of the consensus of the community.
However, it is important to note that the Zaydi Shia still differ from Sunni Islam in some significant ways, such as their belief in the concept of Imamah (the divinely appointed leader) and the infallibility of the imams. They also have different practices and rituals, such as their commemoration of the death of Imam Hussein (may Allah be pleased with him) during the month of Muharram. Despite these differences, the Zaydi Shia and Sunni Muslims share many beliefs and practices, and historically, they have coexisted peacefully in many parts of the Muslim world.

Thank you Filip. I have long had a sneaking admiration for Shia's. Not least as when I visit the UK, I find them so welcoming, so unlike the Tablighi Jumaat who seem to dominate most of the Masjids I am able to access. This explanation of the Isma'ilis is fascinating and much closer to the beliefs of many Sunni's living in Indonesia. You really are helping me to understand my beliefs and why I recoil from those that seem so hostile to my own.

You admire worshipping a man rather than God? You admire shunning the vast majority of Muslims and how the companions understand Islam? You admire people who consider Muslims to be disbelievers? You admire the movement that assassinated so many Muslims over the years? You admire their belief that God cannot be anything good or evil, that nothing can be attributed to Him at all including what He describes himself as in the Qur'an? You admire secrecy and the arrogance of keeping knowledge from people? You admire baselessly taking a man as an infallibly perfect being through some specific chain? I think they believe the Mahdi came quite early on (901 A.H. or 1496 CE) and they’re mainly found in India nowadays. There’s very little about them online and they usually get overshadowed by the larger and more recent Ahmadiyya (which I wouldn’t mind a video on either by the way) in discussions about “mahdist” groups of Islam.

Some narrations about what to do when Imam Mahdi is in occultation
Abdullah Ibn Sinan reported that Imam Al-Sadiq said “How will you be in a situation where you neither see the guiding Imam nor any sign, so that no one is saved from this confusion except the one who recites the supplication of the one who is perishing? My father said by God, this is a test! What shall we do at that time, may my life be sacrificed for you? He (Imam Al-Sadiq) said If this happens, and you will not experience it, then hold on to what you have in your hands until the matter becomes clear to you.” [Al-Ghaibah of An-Nu’mani Page 161 Hadith 4]
Muhammad Ibn Isa reported that Imam Al-Mahdi said “As for the upcoming incidents, return in it to the narrators of our sayings, for they are my proof to you and I am the proof of God to you. Abu Ja’far At-Tusi writes “The narrator’s own statement is not a proof.” [Al-Ghaibah of At-Tusi, Page 44 - 184]

The question I have though is the following - You have many times and especially in this video and topic, point out about the adoption of Neoplatonism as the basis of Theology in many Islamic Schools and Groups or at least a very Neoplatonistic aproach in Theology. This adoption/aproach is even more "total" in the case of Isma'ilis. My question is - is there a School or Group ( like the Isma'ilis) that instead of adopting a Neoplatonistic approach instead adopted an Aristotelian one, when it comes to their Theology?
