It's always been that way. The issue is with the opponents extended hitboxes or rather "hurtboxes".
Their "hurtbox" crosses thru frieza and they get hit first since a lot of the time the jump ins are being avoided by 2H air invul.
And this is not Frieza specific.
7:43 put it in .25. Most 2Hs with no forward momentum behave this way.
Gotenks was not directly above him like he is after 2H hits. You can see the lines from the vanish.
Can we talk about the combo after Frieza’s 2H cause that shit was GODLIKE 😮
