March 19th, 2021 Stage IIIA Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (Non-Smoking)
February 2022 Stage IV Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (spreading to Brain, and other parts of lung and lymph nodes)
Gene Mutation EGFR with Exon 20 Insertion
TREATMENTS: Received or currently Receiving
2021: 8 Rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin and Paclitaxel) with 30 concurrent radiation treatments to chest and lung
Failed Immunotherapy directly after Chemo and Radiation (Durvalumab, 1 round)
2022: Current Chemo Plan; ongoing
6 rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin, Alimta, and Avastin)
Carboplatin is now COMPLETE and I continue Alimta and Avastin
Targeted Brain Radiation (Completed)

The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. Jenny, I want to tell you, I lost my beautiful 34 yr old daughter in January. She has 3 children 2 with special needs. They had just got their first home, she was scrubbing her carpets and mixed a deadly combination of cleaners, as she was scrubbing her carpets the fumes over came her, she was asthmatic and had a bad attack and died. I miss her terribly. Thank God my son in law is a great dad. What I'm saying is we never know. Life has no guarantees, so we have to enjoy everyday. For some reason I have a wonderful premonition that you are going to do great with this new medicine. I check for your videos all the time. You have a beautiful family and remember you are here now. Don't think about tomorrow, please. Everyday wake up and think of the day ahead of you only. I'll be checking on you. Good luck honey.

She fought like a warrior, went through so much pain, and now she passed. After what she shared with us, me personally, will never agree to these treatments. I don’t have children, so I get it. RIP, Jenny ❤

I am not a cancer patient but disabled due to heart failure and severe asthma. When scanning for pulmonary embolism I cannot put both arms over my head and breath, so the radiology tech will let me keep one arm by my side which helps with breathing.
One of my daughters was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma in her lymph node under her arm the month before her 14th birthday. She had 14 sessions of very strong chemo requiring addmission to the hospital every three weeks and she was admitted again a few days after getting home for the side effects. She threw up everything she ate for the first 6 weeks as they tried different meds. She also had 6 weeks of radiation during chemo. She is a surviver and even has a son. She is 32 this year.

I've been going through grief of my dog he was part pug too, so flowers makes me smile. With grieving and being in a depression i always come straight to jenny videos. She encourages me so much. She always had that beautiful smile and looked at everything postive, although she was scared deep down. She had made me realize crying and sleeping over the loss of my dog 7months ago, that you can still be happy, know matter what. Prayers really do help and god is the one to lean on. ❤❤

I worked in Clinical trials for about 10 years and worked with patients. If you're not a match it just means this trial is not for you but there are new trials every day. Keep the hope alive. God is working this out in you and for you. Praying every day for you and healing dear one.

Aaaawww!! My Mom passed away 21 years ago. She was having pain in her stomach. But none of us knew she was because she never complained about her own health. She was to concerned about taking care of my Dad. When she finally got in to the Dr, she found out she had cancer in her gallbladder. She had waited so long that it fills up and swelled up. As it swelled, it bumped over into her liver and her liver is what finally took her. But I was reminded when you were talking about your mother washing your hair in the kitchen sink. My mother used to wash my hair in the kitchen sink, so that was a fun memory to see you do that with your children. As she got older her daughters would wash her hair in the kitchen sink. So that was a really good memory for me. Thank you. sending you prayers for you and your family.♥️♥️♥️
My mom did the same thing! She washed our hair in the kitchen sink and we loved it! Sometimes my dad would help, and his hands always felt so big as he held my head. I did the same with my nieces and nephew! They loved it too! 😊

The ct drink sucks lol. I just had my 3 month ct for stage 4 cervical cancer since 2018. Praying for you. You and your hubby make me smile. Your love for one another is amazing.

I hope you both have a wonderful time at the gala. I am praying for your recovery. My mom was much older than you when she fought her lung cancer battle... and lost. Watching you has been therapeutic for me. She passed in 2017 November 29. You are receiving much better care and have so many more options. Just remember, you do not have an expiration date on your birth certificate. Only God determines that. I pray you not only see your children marry but also see grandchildren get married. My mum has just been diagnosed with Large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma, she has never smoked, she was offered just chemotherapy but her bloods have been sent off to Germany for testing, to see if she can be given anything else, your channel is helping me a lot. Thank you.
I was able to complete 3/4 of a clinical trial for breast cancer through the Mayo Clinic. I will keep you in my prayers that you are accepted!!! You are strong my friend, you have an amazing husband and family support system. I am so proud of any cancer patient that participates in clinical trials. It can be so helpful for you but also benefit so many people with lung cancer. I did the trial for my two girls, my sisters and all the women in this world with who have breast cancer or maybe it will help to prevent breast cancer completely. I did a trial drug for Stanford (A PARP INHIBITOR) and it worked thank the Lord Jesus I didn't lose all of my hair but it was a lot and the Neupogen shots gave me a lot of pain I don't know about your trial my trial did not take anything over a certain stage stay strong don't be afraid to ask for pain medication too much pain can affect your healing process as long as you take it as prescribed keeping you in my thoughts and prayers 🙏
First, I’m so relieved to hear you made it through that last MRI, with less pain or breathing discomfort than you originally expected. Glad it’s behind you.
Second, stop fretting about how your gonna look girl! You are so beautiful and honestly could walk in that Galla-Gayla( lol, I stumbled over how to print it, so that it might read how I am meaning for it to sound) draped with a potato sack over you and somehow, you would make it look trendy and gorgeous! I say it the first way, but probably truth be known have said it both ways at some points.
And thirdly, your friends indeed were sweet and you two are getting a great wee getaway but, truly Kyle is a tremendous husband, father and caregiver. You have to strength to be in the war you are Jenny but you need to be equally strong to shoulder watching your battle and to be extra gentle support for you now, as you need that and be a terrific Daddy to, two wonderfully, sweet kids.
Safe flight, enjoy the gala and mostly enjoy this getaway with one another.

My husband died 31 years ago when our children were 7, 9 and 12 and the treatments for cancer was different in small details but generally the same. My husband and me also loved each other and were close like you two. We were a couple since school days and we could get 22 years together. I really love both of you and praying for you both, thinking of you almost every day here in Sweden 🇸🇪

I had my first real eye exam with drops like you in my twenties. It’s weird but now you’ll know what to expect the next time. Kyle is an absolute angel, patient and supportive. How lucky for you. ❤
I have to say, I watch all of your videos and have for a few months now. It may be the difference of not being on the steroids any longer, but you look different, your face seems to glow, you look much more radiant. I don't comment often, in fact I think I have only one other time, but just needed to let you know the difference I've noticed in the last handful of vids especially.
I have anxiety as well..like LOADS of anxiety, and it can really play with you mentally, so crazy how something can have so much power..I think Kyle was right about the contrast. Not that it doesn't make you feel weird, that flush feeling, heart racing, nausea..but amplified greatly by your anxiety. I know you normally have anxiety, but I know it's worse because of the circumstances right now with the clinical trials and uncertainty of those, I really think it made the difference for you this time with the CT..

I will continue to keep you on my prayer list and God knows the answer already ahead of time. Turn everything over to him. I know it’s hard to do but the more you do with the easier it gets it’s taking me years to do this and it’s still not an easy thing because my flesh side wants to control everything, but my spiritual side is what gets me through❤ I ask that God takes your nervousness away through each test that you go through , and know that He is there with you. Also, to give you a clarity throughout the day. Congratulations, Kyle I was a caregiver for my husband for nine years before he passed away and it’s good to have recognition.❤❤

Good memories… my hair was really long when I was little so my mom would wash it at the kitchen sink, also. She’d have me lay out across the counter with a towel under my back to keep me dry,… and I’d get the full treatment.😊

I have Lupus and rare blood clotting disorder and was on steroids for 5 years. The side effects have been awful. My teeth disintegrated and can not find a dentist to help take the base of teeth out due to Blood disorder. Also bones r very fragile and I now have diabetes from steroids. I have some other small effects but these r the major ones so I'm so glad they have decided to take u off. If u absolutely need them that's one thing but I sure don't want u to have the lasting effects I have. Sending Love & Prayers!!

Yes, Ativan helps. Morphine helps too. It turns off your bodies panic response to that horrible sensation of like drowning. Another thing that helps to file away for when breathing is distressing, is a simple pedastal fan (or at a pinch, a hand held fan)pointed atblown at your face. No use for in an MRI but at home if your fluid on your lungs is really exhausting you and stressing you out, blowing air onto your face really helps. It seems like, how would it? But it really does.

Jenny you look beautiful & the positive attitude & outlook you have is absolutely infectious ❤ I jumped on here trying to forget about everything that’s happening here around me, if only for a few minutes. We just made funeral arrangements for my 29 year old nephew. My sister that I take care of, the one I’ve talked about before, the one that has 4th stage small cell lung cancer with metastasis to the liver, spine, & bones, it’s her only son 💔 We are all in such shock, we do not know what happened, cause of death appears to be an overdose. We don’t know if it was accidental, & we never saw any signs of drug abuse or depression. My poor sister is inconsolable. I’m so afraid of what this is doing to her fight for her life. Please pray for my family, anybody that reads this, please pray 💔🙏😢

I’ve been following your story for some months now. I’m an ovarian/uterine cancer 12 year survivor (underwent Carboplatin and Paclitaxel chemotherapy too), from England. Have an absolutely amazing time at the Gala, such an amazing accolade for you both, especially Kyle.

When I had to be in a machine, I was worried about claustrophobia, so I counted backwards by 7s from 10,000. It worked.
I just take 2 mg of Ativan for claustrophobia. It is magic! 😊

My sister is stage 4 OC and said the pleural effusion pain is beyond any pain she’s felt they treatment. You are quite remarkable and inspiring. I was cracking up,at your face when you sniffed the drink. Clearly nasty. You are part of my prayers and meditation practice along with my sis and Tiffany thinks form you tube who is battling cancer as well. You have educated me about how to best support my sis Kyle and I’m so grateful to you both for sharing your story. A master class on grace, class and vulnerability in the most challenging of times.

Like your shirt says rebellious hope. So sorry you have such anxiety and probably depression too. I dealt with depression anxiety all my life,no fun. I can relate, it's terrifying. I survived kidny cancer years ago. My Dad died from Prostate cancer in 2019 and my cousin Sheri died in her fifties on a Thanksgiving Day. She had Colon Cancer. Such a loss to lose those we live,yet we go on and try to live our best life ever. I'm glad you are considered a survivor because you will fight for you and everyone else ❤❤❤❤.

Jenny, I wonder if you should mention those sensations you are feeling from the contrast dye. I think they may be able to reduce those feelings with epinephrine, IV fluids or Benadyl.
