- Anthonio Banderas and Salma Hayek present "Best TV Series, Comedy or Musical" to ABC's "Modern Family". Before they present the award Anthony Banderas speaks Spanish in reply to host Ricky Gervais. Actress Sofia Vergara accepts the award in Spanish. Producer Steven Levitan gives a funny and incorrect translation. They thank Anthonio and Salma, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the writers, Gary Newman & Fox.

The acceptance speech was a bilingual joke, the people who only speak one of the two didn't get it... it was obvious most people there didn't get it.
Thats the whole point of it and if you can tell by Sophia speaking, obviously its not what the guy said based on her body language. Come on, get with the program! Even I got that part.

You are right in that Spanish is by far a more popular language but French is spoken in many places also not just France, do a little research.
