GMC Terrain - BATTERY REPLACEMENT / REMOVAL (2018 - 2024)

  • Tutorial video on how to change / remove / replace battery on second generation GMC Terrain SUV ( 2018 | 2019 | 2020 | 2021 | 2022 | 2023 | 2024 | SLE | SLT | DENALI | 1.5L | 2.0L ).
    Battery is located under the front hood. To start first remove the battery holder which is held by two 10mm nuts. Then loosen up 10mm nut on the negative battery terminal and remove the terminal.
    You always want to make sure to first disconnect negative battery terminal and then positive. When installing new battery always first disconnect positive battery terminal and then negative. Now disconnect positive battery terminal and disconnect all connections inside the housing covering positive terminal. You will need 13mm and 8mm sockets. Once done lift the housing up and pull it to the side. remove plastic cover surrounding the battery. Lift the battery up and remove it. That's it.
