These Still Got The Blues guitar lesson videos will take you into the style of the late great blues rock giant Gary Moore. His uncanny sense of melody produced some of the most beautiful guitar moments ever recorded.
Gary Moore's powerful playing style is something that every guitarist should study no matter what style of music they play. "Still Got The Blues" is his most popular hit not only because it is such a beautiful song, but because the guitar solos showcase Gary Moore's signature melodic blues playing in full force.
The Still Got The Blues guitar lesson videos include all three guitar solos and some of the most melodic chord progressions you will ever hear in a blues rock style.
These video guitar lessons are a great way to learn how Gary Moore incorporated standard blues techniques within a more classical-esque scale style to create jaw dropping results for the listener.
Whether or not you are familiar with Gary Moore's work or you are just discovering this guitar icon you will have a blast learning his signature piece in its entirety. Good luck!! :D

1 of every 2 people trying to learn gives up
Nice!
I keep coming back to take it in by steps
they don't still got the blues
Or every second one can only play half the song. Enough to show some mad skillz :D
@Jaxtyn Marlon nobody cares you spamming bot :)
Excellent guitar master teacher instructor mentor all of it and all in between!great song also ,thank you again brah!
this lesson gave me the basics to this song ! check out my cover Gary Moore - Still got the Blues SOLO (Guitar Cover)
thanks for that video, that's really cool, but with tabs it will be better, I think
If you learn tabs and then go on to read music it’s going to be confusing.
You guys with the tabs sheesh
this is an incredibly clear lesson. thank you!
Thanks MASTER..
AWESOME LESSON
I always follow you to improve my guitar technique go on like this
Solo starts at 3:00
Great job - I've seen a couple of tutorials and the players start with the A note on the G string 14th fret (as this one does). Why not on the B string 10th fret as I've seen Gary Moore play it, which actually seems easier. I'm just curious because I've seen it a few times. - no ill will meant.
7:20 just a reminder for me
Would love a lesson for Story of the Blues by Gary Moore. One of his prettiest solos ever.
At 6:25 it sounds like you’re actually doing a bend and release instead of lift and kill back down to D on 15. I’m getting conflicting information. Anyone have an answer?
THANK YOU LEGEND
it will most probably assume you know how to and tell you to just apply vibrato, just point your finger down, keep you finger in a locked position and wiggle your wrist but also move your finger if you know what I mean, it needs some wrist action
Another amazing lesson, very clear and concise.....thankyou.
HELLO TEACHER ANOTHER GREAT SHARE OF YOUR TALENT TO US
Learning "the whole worl's gona know" mr big, please!
I was just wondering if you know any of cold chisel songs , they’re an Australian band spanning through from the late 70’s early 80’s songs like “ flame trees “ tuckers daughter “ bow river and Khe Sanh and if so could you post some tutorials including the solo’s and the lead singer Jimmy Barns also went solo with some big hits as well ?
Also Jonny Diesel and the injectors?
@Enduran91 Me no have one... :)
Awesome tutorial pal. Would you kindly also explain how to get that original tone, amp and effects pedal setup so we can savor em all the way! Thanks a zillion in advance.
If you've figured it out I would like to learn about them too :'(
thx man ! ! !
cheers from Brazil
Carl excellent lesson. But everything I have read shows Gary used his 59 Les Paul for the studio version. Best evidence is the pick up change in the solo from the neck pick up to the bridge. He was using a Marshall Guv'nor pedal through a Marshall JTM45 amp. Come to think of it, I personally have never seen him use a Strat on this song.
Thanks for watching! But, I don’t think I ever stated in the video that he used a strat for this song.
No you didn't nor did you mention it was recorded on a LP, But I thought you would have used a LP for the lesson. Not a criticism but the optics suggest it.@@GuitarLessons365SongLessons

Best lesson ever on tube, good on you!
Carl, where is the humbucker?? Your Sterling?? The guitar you typically use for full hard rock like Ratt "Round And Round"??
This was filmed before I owned that guitar
Brilliant lesson for a song I've always wanted to learn but I thought it was beyond me. Perhaps with your help in this lesson it may not be. Thanks!
Did you learn it?
@@vladersek5302 yes but not as well as I'd like!
3:07
Strange how I can't seem to be able to get the tone right on my cort and 50$ amp
Turn the gain way up and roll the tone off on your guitar, gives you the sustain you need, works for me anyway
@@benharper4942 That's what i ended up doing, Thanks man!
Story of the blues guitar lesson by Gary Moore please
What's up with owning a Les Paul in order to pull this song off.
If you've got it , it can be played on a dobro.
What effect does this song use? (Fuzz, Flanger, etc?)
Please do a lesson on The loner

What kind of effect we use for this song?
Thanks!

Thanks Carl
Beautiful solo
thank you for explaining
Great lesson!
POD HD 500?!!.....awesomeness CONFIRMED!!!
Are you using any type Of pedal to keep all that sustain.?
Your voice sounds like Joe Bonamassa :D
He could only wish ...
How to set the amplifier?
Excellent. Thank you.
Thanks yet again
Great lesson.would consider doing a lesson on Gary Moore,s version of don't let me be misunderstood?
Thank you....subscribed 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Good evening sir,I am from India,I have a doubt ,which patch used to play this song...I am using boss GT 1. pls answar me from ur end
Very claire! Thank you so much!
how to get sound like in this video? Anybody knows??
It's distortion and he play on the neck pick up
Neck pickup, a tube amp preferably, and sheer volume. I use a treble booster in front of a 1w amp; I can get this tone at bedroom levels.
You could also use a tube screamer, or Gary himself used a Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal. Plus, you'll need good vibrato to give the notes 'colour'.
Pl get Boss GX100,put it on arrange patch bearing Overdrive chorus rest think you’re play this number ,it works as you think it connects to your brain and the system and your feel for the sound
Nice video any tips how to practice that fast blue lick with metronome? Good work man!
Hi. I have BOSS GT1 (that small), can anyone advice me on effect setup for this song? THX!
YESS!! Gary Moore!! Please do also The Loner from Gary!!
but how how much echoe or dist?
So Great
That is a nice sounding fender for a single coil sound...what year is your stratocaster & what kind of amp are you using?
Great solo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼🤗
Hi. What's the guitar modulation for the intro, please. I mean, the effects. Thanks
Why does my guitar sound different than yours?
Humbuckers maybe?
Sounds like there’s either a chorus effect or doubler effect on it, something like that’s going on.
I mean I think he’d mention a pedal. I play it with no effects and it’s right on the money
I use a Strat squire and it sounds identical. Les Pauls are going to sound different
@@lba08001 different guitars different sounds
great job
Hello,
I want to know wich tecnic you use for that lesson nr. 1
Is it an amp you use please tell me the tecnic and the your brand about
the Sound is very clear and very good I like it so much
In what amp settings should I play this song?
Z Blub
The one that sounds the best to you.
my amp setting to sound like him treble on 12 o'clock mid on 3 o'clock and bass max and gain on 2 o'clock
hey carl! how come there isnt a tutorial on the loner? :O
What kind of sound effect do you use mister?
This is a really "Great" Video; very well done my friend. Thanks for the time and Effort...
I would love a tutorial on "Evenin' by Gary Moore. Please!
great lesson!!!
you don't mention what effects you used to get the sound you used, sustain pedal? reverb? fuzz? what?
David S lol just play it with a les Paul no chorus/delay needed
Yeah right. that is why he is using a strat for the lesson. Dork. It clearly has some delay and reverb on this video.
David S Gary played this through a les paul and a marshall amp with no effects. My point is the effects used in the video, which are likely a compressor and a slight delay, are merely to make the strat sound thicker with more sustain and in essence more like the original les paul on the recording.
man, he asked what effects are used and you told him to play it through a les paul. not answering the question eh?
Do you ever do any song requests?
I would like to get this DVD to learn "Still Got the Blues". Problem is, I see you doing a lot of vibrato wiggling with your first finger on the fretboard. I can't seem to get my finger to move like that & make that vibrato wiggling sound. Is it in the wrist, the finger, muscles? I have a Les Paul Goldtop with Rockman modules. Is that taught on the video? HOW to position & WIGGLE or is it assumed you can already do that?
1st part 0:15
2nd part 3:08 (5:16, 6:35 - practice)
Blues lick 7:12
Excellent.
Carl,
Any chance you have plans for a Gary Moore lesson on the song The Loner?
Thank you
I'm sorry, I don't get what to do at 6:57? Can someone explain it to me?
there are many lessons of this song. but if you are unsure of a basic hammer on pull off lick you probably should practice minor pentatonic scales and various lessons on you tube.there are lots of lessons so don't get discouraged!
jvp726 Thank you, you're the only one kind enough to reply. I'm a beginner, this is the third song I'm trying to learn. I get discouraged so easily :( But thanks again!
