Today’s video is all about neurological drugs and medication for Nursing Students and NCLEX Review.
Neurological drugs are administered to patients with conditions such Parkinson's disease, Tourette syndrome, and Schizophrenia. These include anticonvulsant, cholinergic, and anticholinergic drugs, as well as neuromuscular blocking agents.
Knowing how to administer these medications safely and successfully is crucial for for the NCLEX exam and nursing process.

I listen to it once, reading the power point from the instructor, it helps me a lot. Thank you so so much. I will use you videos from now on. I am truly appreciate.
pharmacology is hard! I recommend doing a TON of practice questions, try searching "quizlet pharmacology" followed by whatever the name of your textbook is. you could study for hours but if you dont do practice questions, it won't be enough for your exams. I learned this the hard way. good luck! also, Nexus Nursing has a lot of great videos with practice questions too:)

In the video you stated MAOI inhibitors enhance efficacy for Parkinson drugs and that Selegiline can be used with Levidopa and Carbidopa. I just had a practice question that stated, "Phenelzine, also known as Nardil, are MAOI Inhibitors that are not safe for patients with Parkinson’s Disease to take and may precipitate a hypertensive crisis. A hypertensive crisis is a sudden increase in blood pressure, which may be life-threatening"
Can both of these be true and we should look out for this HTN crisis?

Mike, I am wondering how could I ask a patient about any alcohol abuse history before administering succynilcoline when that patient is about to be intubated; I mean, they usually have a really low Glasgow score and can't even say a word 🤔
