I got this amp years ago, back when I mainly played electric guitar... I almost just bought an expensive audio interface, but right before I finalized the payment, I remembered that I never figured out what the USB port on the amp was for, and then realized I'd basically already owned an audio interface for years
can you get different guitar settings via a plugin DAW for example like neural and still have the amp as output? Even though the amp doesnt support such settings?
This is exactly the video I was looking for. I realize after watching your video that when using the USB interface for recording, the amp speakers still produce output.
what kind of cable is that? I didn't find one in the box with mine.. so I'll have to find one.. I’m not sure if it’s sold separately either. Apparently they didn’t give me a foot switch either so I had to go and spend $50 on that.
Is there any way to get the amp to stop making sound from the speaker while recording with the USB cable? It should automatically turn off, but it doesn't.
@@noelsharp no worries, plenty of people online elsewhere already told me there is no way to do it except maybe through the software interface, but screw that. I've never used the software and never will. Most people just shove a cable in the headphone jack. Smarter than shoving headphones in there because you won't blow your headphones. :)

I used a very inexpensive USB A to USB mini (B) type cable that you can find at most any department store or Amazon.
How is the latency
Where do u plug it in the pc is it just in the normal usb 2.0? Because I can’t seem to get it to work like that in my recording software
Hi
Using ASIO4all, does the amp works as sound card?
Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘

I haven't used the amp in over a year and don't know the answer - sorry. I may bring it out this weekend and try to figure this out.

Bro what's the usb type
I used USB A (type 2) to USB mini B. The cables are only a few $$ on Amazon if you don’t have one around.
Yo the asio4all might be my issue. My PC refuses to load the idcore as a audio interface for some reason ?
Could be. I’ll try connecting to my PC again. It’s been a year since I last used that particular amplifier.
Hey everyone , i tried recording on the OD2 channel i followed all the steps but my sound is fuzzy and distorted. How can i fix it PLS Help :(
Not sure if you were able to get better results since posting your comment. Maybe turning down the gain in you DAW helped?
Try using another usb port
will it work with Bias FX software?
I’ve gotten it to work with bias fx, but I’ve had a lot of difficulties to get it to work consistently.
@@stevejensen1512 I'm on Mac, n it's got a lot of weird feedbacks n delay. Unusable. Plugged in USB cable
I found this link on re-amping so that you can use the amp with bias. Hopefully it can help you. www.guitarneverlies.com/idcore-interface/

Is this on your channel? I was about to hook up 2 mics today but was still using them to track drums and didn't want to mess up my phasing.
