I have a Niche. Nowhere do you say what the grind settings are, or what type of roast of coffee you are using to get some context. I have no idea where to start
What a fantastic video. I’ll never make espresso at home, but this was so interesting and will increase my appreciation of espresso when I am out. Can’t wait for the next video.
Can you share your settings? When I grind for my Sage, it's not able to push the shot through. When I finally got it to push a shot through, it was bitter
Hey, sorry for being late to the party. I’m wondering if you’re including pre infusion time on the 34 second extraction ? Mine is probably 8 seconds long if not 10. Thanks, very informative.
Hey! Could you tell me if you are using the big portafilter? I‘m really confused and not experienced 🙈 I thought I should use the small portafilter and something like 10g for 30 ml of espresso? 16g doesn‘t fit in the small portafilter. I never get a good crema, so I‘m trying to learn 🙈❤️
Hi there! I always use the double shot basket (the bigger one) for 16g of coffee. Personally I haven’t ever used the single shot baskets, I’ve always use double as a standard. Are you timing your shots? This is key, especially if you aren’t getting a nice crema. Also if your coffee is a bit old this can make it hard to get a good crema.
Hi there! Just bought the Niche, after getting the Sage. Any recommendations on which grinding setting you use on the Niche? I tried around the 18-20, but tastes too bitter. And 24 goes through very very fast. Always 17.5gr. I don’t know, very frustrated tbh. Tried sooooo many combinations… Any recipes to share? Also wasting so much coffee… 😭
Hi! Sorry for the late response. I used between 10-15 depending on the coffee and recipe. Are you weighing and timing your coffee out? If you put 17g in you want double out, so 34g liquid out. If it’s tasting bitter try lowering your dose of coffee slightly and see where you are then.
Hey - could I ask, do you notice a lot of dripping with your Duo Pro after you stop the shot? I can end up with 5-10g extra yield if I don't remove the cup straight away once I turn the dial. Not sure whether I should account for the coffee that comes out after the dial is turned off within my time / yield recipe, or if I just need to get the cup out of there straight away!

So you uploaded this the day I buy a Sage Duo Temp, thank you so much!
Ah amazing ! Hopefully it helped and I hope you enjoy your machine!

Thank you! Ah yes you do need one! Life will be so much better haha

Hi there! Yeah mine often does this but I always just removed it rather than waiting for the drips
