- The raw emotion in Morissette's cover of "She Used To Be Mine" is unreal. I almost cried...I fought back tears! Whew... This rendition is a Sara Bareilles cover and it's simply unbelievable. I have never heard this song or seen the stage play Waitress, but my goodness! There are no words to express how good this is... thank you Morissette!

When I watch any of their videos of those on the Wish 107.5 RUclips channel, I just “go in blind” with no preparation & enjoy it as it unfolds 🇵🇭✊️😄🇵🇭
I said it before and I will continue to say it. Mori is the greatest Pop Singer alive and the greatest Pop Singer of her generation. Whenever I hear Mori sing I know that I am in the presence of true greatness.

Mori slayed this song ♥️, you have to hear the original Sara wrote this song and she also slayed it.
We already know that she has one of the best endearing tones globally, not to mention her mad vocals but what sets Morissette apart from other performers, is her gift to story tell a song and she does it creatively.
This is 1 of 2 songs Mori covers that breaks me down 2 tears (the other 1 is "Could You Be Messiah" in Black & white). She is a storyteller too & can evoke emotion out of U when U gets lost in her voice. The lyrics remind me of a lady in my past that was "broken". God Bless those who can relate. Prayers 2 U!

Look at how she goes from happy perky Mori into the emotion of the song she is about to sing. You can see her entire body change like she is reliving the events.
Its getting to the point where I am judging every vocal I hear on RUclips or Anerican Idol or The Voice and even artists that have been out forever to Morissette standards. It's freaking me out that almost nobody measures up to her ? I might be crazy but I just don't think there is a more versatile, talented , charismatic, technically gifted singer out there. She hits emotions in me that I didn't know I had man. Just astonishing.
The movie/musical is about a waitress who works in a local diner and also makes wonderful tasting pies to be sold to patrons. She's married to a very abusive husband and is pregnant by him. She's referring to herself, the woman she used to be that is no longer there but pleading for her to come back.

Wonderful reaction as usual! The Broadway show The Waitress was originally a small little movie that resonated with many people. Sara Bareilles was brought in to do the music/lyrics for the Broadway show. Sara is an AMAZING singer/songwriter and would be a wonderful addiction to the Lady Luck Club!
Morisette has such perky personality, too! Then, she proceeds with this powerful rendition and really tells the story. Pls try KZ Tandingan again with her rendition of 'Say Something' by Great Big World. You won't be disappointed ;)

The song, is coming from a single waitress, struggling in life, that is in an abusive relationship, and is pregnant from her abusive BF ( you are not what I asked for ) She hopes for a do-over in life to be stronger and not take any BS. Very powerful cover. Shoshana Bean is a singer Mori looks up to and played this role on Broadway.
