This video is over two years old. 1. *777*1# only seems to work for tracfones using their att towers. 2.for some people, texting BAL to 611611 works. 3. from the web, www.fastactportal.com/static/balance seems to work too. 4. As of 2018, I have found that the apps in the App and Play stores report the balance information for me. I hope this helps.

The account app just crashes every time I load it. So this is the only way to check my balance. And I will tell everyone I know, that number.

My LG840G shows the service end date and minutes right on the home screen however my LG Fuel does not. If I request that info from the tracfone website it sends it to my LG Fuel but it may take awhile. That code you entered does not work on my LG Fuel either. I did not try it on my LG840G since I don't need it. The LG840G is not an android although it looks like one but I like it better for calls and I think the clarity may also be better. You can screw up when swiping the Fuel but since The 840G does not support swipe you never screw up unless you fat finger the pad. I can also request minute/service info from the tracfone app but again it takes awhile to come back.

This is great info for those that it works for, and I appreciate you making the video. However, it doesn't work for me using the same "Bring Your Own." I get this message: Connection problem or invalid MMI code. I've checked the number several times. Who knows!!!!!! Thanks for making the video though.
It seems to only work for tracfone phones using the ATT network not the verizon network. If you read through the comments, someone shared a web link that you can use to check your balance. Last time I tried the tracfone app it seems to be working better. I think I need to do an updated video.

This does not work on my phone LG L44VL. When I call this number--it says "welcome to Verizon Wireless --your dialed number cannot be reached"

This worked for me, and couldn't be easier. From the opening scene. hit OK. In the icons listed as options, find and highlight the Browser option that looks like a globe., which may be on the second screen. Hit OK. Hit OK again. your renewal date, text, minutes and data figures will be shown.
When I created this video, the apps would not report the balance for many people. It been working well for me for a couple years now too

if you run out of data will the phone still work otherwise such as calling and text or will the phone be unusable until you purchase more.
if you run out of DATA, but have minutes and texts left that should work. picture messages might not work without data.
if i wanted to download the " my account App" to the phone and its asking to input an email account, does this mean we have to go to a regular computer and get online to Tracfones website and create an account with an email so it will be insync?

what happens when you run out of data or text or minutes does it just stop working or will it charge you extra $ for overages?
You'll need to add more minutes to your account. On a smartphone you can do this with your credit card and the tracfone app or from tracfone.com

You can select your account to login, or if you don’t have it use your 10 digits phone# and the last 4 digits of your phone serial # (they should be printed on the phone package or you can call Tracfone Customer Service # 1 (800) 867-7183 to get them).
Note: It does not matter what brand of phone you use, as long as you are with Tracfone.
My tracfone APP never worked. Always had to add minutes via the internet. Now that doesn't work either, so will be getting a different phone/company. And I thought it was just me!
You are unable to add minutes by logging into your account in the web? That worked for me last I tried in May. I think I was also able to finally see my minutes from the web. I haven't used the app recently. What are you going to change to?

He said he figured out the code to punch in to get your information. No so, this information is available for free from tracfone and your account. The code does work.

ok. guess I'll have to find another way. I remember in the past it worked a verizon phone by checking thee balance on tracfone.com and send a text to the phone.

Thanks for the great tip. The tracfone app is a waste of time and their website is worse. I wonder if you get charged for the call to check your balance. My dumbfone had a better app than the android garbage
You are welcome. I don't know why they don't fix the web and their app. The iPhone app seems to work better, but that doesn't help millions of android people.

Yes. that at some other ways have been discussed in the comments. I also find that the app seems to work a lot better now.

tracfone is total crap. It took me several months in phone calls to get my Safelink straightened out with the idiots in the Phillipines. A total disaster. Really not worth the $15.00 you save each month.

TracFone does not want you to know your minutes. When you use them all up then you must buy a new card. Now jump ahead to 4/2022 and now Tracfone came up with a new one 5G. Now the phone went to 30 plans for $15.00 for 500 minutes of talk, text and data. All 30 day plans and I still can't find my minutes. Better to switch phone companies. This company is not like the old TracFone that I have had for over ten years. Try BAL to 611611 I'm still having trouble.
