Haha I got some messages from anime onlies who were upset at me for trying to shoo them away. Please believe me you are very precious to me and I simply want to protect you all T__T I have even deleted spoilery comments in other videos for your sake. You are free and welcome to watch any and all videos in my channel...but it will be SO much more fun to wait for the anime without being spoiled. That's all. 😘
There is only ONE way to end the series...with the marriage of Ferdinand and Rosemyne! (I don't know that the novels go there, but it seems like they might...WHEN Rosemyne comes of age. Don't forget, Rosemyne may only be 8 at the end of S3, but MENTALLY, she's 28) I think she's around 12 or so by the end of the latest English published novel...although she's still tiny.
@owo グーチmoshi :) Season 2 is what you are thinking of as the 2nd part of season 1. The transitions between seasons gets confusing for English releases a lot, like a recent show literally had season 1 part 1 end & the official translation, funimation I believe, maybe crunchyroll, mistranslated the end card saying "we'll be back for part 2" as "come back for season 2" so there was a lot of mix up about it. This one Season 1 was October 2019 (Fall 2019), Season 2 was April 2020(Spring 2020), which is the same 1 core break from shows like Re:Zero season 2 part 1 & part 2, Slime Season 2 Part 1 & Part 2, as well as Mushoku Tensei Season 1 Part 1 & Part 2, but where those seasons cores ended in the middle of an Arc Ascendance Of A Bookworm season 1 was pretty much a conclusive arc, covering all of Part 1, vol 1-3, of the books & Season 2 was a decently closed arc covering Part 2 vol 1-2 of the books. This is where it gets confusing, because season 2 was said the be a second season, but it was said to be covering "Part 2 of the Light Novel" which was seen as like when Re:Zero or Slime or Mushoku Tensei specify they aren't new seasons but "Part 2" of the season. So places like TVdb list season 1 & 2 as a single season (unless you go to DVD order) so it's confusing, but Season 3 is picking up right where the last episode of the Anime left off, which will start at Part 2-Vol 3 of the LN, which is right after where the last episode ends at Part 2-Vol 2
@@johnnemesh5459 at the end of the last LN (until Dec 22 when the next comes out) she's still 10, but *************SPOILERS************** her body is still 8, having slept for 2, & still looking like she's 5-6 because of her stunted growth because of the devouring.
I cried…so much when Myne was taken from her family. And even though she’s Rozemyne I can’t help but still call her Myne. She’ll always be Myne to me 😭
My biggest cry was for Delia & Dirk, Delia who Myne told to care for Dirk like family, who was seriously trying to, knowing she was going to die & asking Myne to save her brother, not to save her, but to save Dirk
That hurt, but the part that kept. stabbing. my. heart. was the scenes afterwards. When the characters are just sitting there having to deal with that.
One of my favorite moments at the end. I cried like a child while reading it. I'd love to hear you talk about the author too, she seems like a really sweet person.
Honestly i wish they Highlight the scene where Gunther wishes the Baby (Kamil) be born healthy and Myne thought that Gunther doesnt someone sickly as Myne but it really meant that Gunther and Effa had many miscarriages and Dead children and Only Myne and tuli survived
I don’t remember Myne taking it that way, but yeah infant mortality rate be high yoo! The main portion that I remember is how out of place she was because she was so hygiene focused and every viewed her as in the way.
@@alpharius5178 this was the exact portion of the LN "Doesn't matter to me whether it was fastor slow. As long as the birth goes safely this time, I don't care how long it takes." "This time?" I asked without thinking too much about it, Maybe he was saying he wanted a healthy child this time instead of a sickly one like me.
As much as I agree that It would be great to have, I'm pretty sure the scene will get the axe, or be very truncated. I'm sure they will not explain in detail how many miscarriages they had and least of all the boy that was born healthy, but died anyway before turning 1.
Yes, I'd be like "Shut up and take my money!!" I mean... after purchasing all the light novels physical and ebook, the manga, etc of course I'd throw in some money so they could continue animating it 😂
I like how Sylvester really does feel bad for separating Myne from her family, but there really is no other choice. If it was known that she used to be a commoner her family would be easy hostages to take. So she has to be the daughter of an archnoble. Shikza is enough proof that even if they got bodyguards for them they would not do their jobs properly since most nobles don't even think of commoners as human. She can't stay in the lower city with her amount of mana. Ever since the purge there aren't really any nobles with that amount of mana except Ferdinand. She would be breeding stock to them to get children strong enough to marry into royalty if any managed to kidnap her. Plus, if a feybeast were to eat her in the woods Erinfest would have a monster as strong as the Lord of Winter right outside the city walls. That would result in countless deaths if the place wasn't just flattened entirely. The safest thing to do is to adopt her. Plus, Myne does not have what it takes to be a medieval homemaker. If she married a commoner she would be a huge burden and expense on the household. She can't do the laundry, clean, ect. Without healing magic she wouldn't survive childbirth (not that she could have kids with a commoner anyway).
How do you not have millions of views yet!?? This is quality content right here! Love hearing your thoughts, I really want to see the hugging scenes and the breakdown of Rozemyne before her baptism. I hope they show how jealous Myne was about Delia and her bond with Dirk
if they wont make season 4 , they should end it at the ferdinand concert because the mood is merry and fun ,also we got little tease how the noble society works
Well, my guess is that the anime will/should end there unless there's a merch boom or something. The concert is pretty much the culmination of the printing process. Everything after that, taken as a whole, is just a long journey to "ascend".
The concert is too far into her life as a noble, I think. I think the best end point if they want to tease more, is either meeting her new family or the baptism ceremony. Otherwise it would need to end around where p2v4 ends; with Myne's final blessing, and then perhaps her funeral running through the final credits. With cuts to Rozemyne preparing to enter noble society.
I can't wait to watch the ending of part 2 in the temple. I can't wait for that emotional ending!!! I also love the fact that you used an image of a toad for bindewald. Keeping it true to the LN.
dude... i cried at the end of part 2 of the LN... it was great... it was emotional and there were great lead to and what was going to happen on the next few parts of the story... there was a sneak peak on the personalities of the people that would be the next guardians of rozemyne and the fate ofe rozemyne herself and what she was capable of... it also shows the human side of the nobles of the aub and his uncertainties about his actions... it was great
Listening to random people talk about Honzuki is my greatest pleasure lately. I really hope they'll properly include all the stories told from other character perspectives from the final Part 2 volume since I keep re-reading those to no end lol. Also yeah, hope they are gonna end third season with Rozemyne fully ready to start her new life as an archnoble, ideally with the baptism scene as you mentioned. And I would certainly bet against getting season 4 and I would also love to lose that bet.
This anime.... I REALLY liked it. Great video. I am basically waiting for season3 to play out, and then I will get on the novels. I will follow this story until the end, but, the anime is such a fun, beautiful way to experience this tale. Yes, I am an anime-only, yet stuck around. I did my best to be entertained, but not retain what I heard. I am just too excited about what comes next to miss this!
I think they will end with her adoption and at least a glimpse of her baptism as Rosamyne. It would be the best ending point and close the story at a point that can get people to pick up the LN. It would not make sense to continue the story at least without another season because a considerable amount of world building would be necessarily to introduce the word of nobles. In the books there are three points where there major world building points when the scope of her world expands. The start of the series (Ehrenfeat City), then when she becomes The Arch Dukes Adopted daughter (Ehrenfest Dutchy) then again when she enters the royal academy (Yurgenschmidt). Those would likely serve as start/endpoints for adaptions.
To be honest I never expected a season 3, I thought the end of season 2 meant the story continues on the light novels, so getting a season 3 and getting to finish part 2 is a pleasant surprise, with that said I really don’t expect more honzuki seasons after this, is sad but that’s how I feel, I’d love to be proven wrong but I hardly doubt it and the reasons you gave have just reinforced my belief, this’ll be the end of the honzuki anime
I wouldn't count the series out just yet. When anime are just made to promote LNs, they usually end after just a single season. When something gets a second season, it's a rather optimistic sign I think... though in context the first two seasons are more like a single-production two-cour season, so this season 3 is likely what a season 2 would be for most other anime.
Just like they begun the first season with the out of context mind reading, I want them to begin season 2 with main burial with everyone mourning. That would put an extra tension during the whole season especially the climax. I also want to see Gunther beat the crap of his supervisor because he let bindelwald in against the order. I can't wait to see Sylvester crap his pants when Darth mine go full bersek when her servant are attacked. Or the whole climax of part 2 for that matter.
Dear god you are EVIL! That is such an evil thing to do, especially to all the poor anime only people who are just watching the funeral and seeing any and every death flag in this season.
I love this series! i love reading and doing crafts, and crocheting, and doing all the crafty things... so myne is so much like me, even her weirdness is relatable to me. i love her as a mc! i look forward to her future inventions, and things she could invent with ferd. great vid, great thoughts!! It has a clean plot and written without being ecchi/hentai, but still having hints of real live adult situations within it's world/culture (like flower offerings and what happens to Wilma and Fran). This makes the story more relatable/realistic. But I don't expect season 3 to cover anything that happens to Fran or Wilma to be in the anime like you said, as it's a kids show. I like that too, because I can watch this with my littles and elementary school children. even what happened to the girl made a gray shrine maiden to the High Bishop at the end of p2b4. whenever i reread one of the LNs, i start with p2b1, i love the part of Ferd's perspective of his age. i love his banter with myne. i also want to see animated where Ferd and benno strike and understanding about dealing with myne, also in future LNs where Justus too is part of this group. I wish for the whole series to be animated, but i'm also happy that we are getting a s3, didn't expect it. no offense to those who translate, it must be difficult, but my inner fangirl wishes for the webnovel to be better translated online... waiting for each realease is difficult. next kindle book out dec 22nd. fangirl squeal!! notime to edit my comment, gotta feed my baby.
I actually love the translation done on the official LN version, not my #1 light novel series, but probably #2 or #3, but I'd say it's my favorite as far as writing & translation goes
I agree about with the part where you said anime industries should be full adapting bookworm. Bookworm is the main reason why I have a J-novel subscription. One of my best decision of my life not gonna lie.
I think I'm going to hold off from watching this until after I read it for myself. I'm tempted to watch this video but this series means too much to spoil it for myself. I'll have to return after the season finishes in Spring.
Unelss the "spoiler" is reading the novels themselves that is. ;) Either way I can only recommend reading the books, whether it's before or after the anime.
The rant at the end i felt in my soul! So many trashy isekai's (looking at you cellphone from another world) but ones like this with such masterful world building get left by the wayside or shown less care. I really hope they get the end right. I've read that book 4 times as i was rereading the whole series every time a new one came out on amazon for awhile and every single time I bawled my eyes out. Miya is just masterful at both building to and writing heartrending scenes. I really hope they do a fourth season for the dukes adopted daughter and the academy arc. The academy arc has surprisingly been my absolute favorite. I can't get enough of her interactions with teachers and royalty and the stress ulcers she's giving Sylvester rofl.
I am hoping for an ova before the season starts that shows the kids catching shimuls and selling their feystones. It will give context to the pooey scene and with how important those adorable creatures will become to the story it would be helpful for anime only fans. If they do the baptism then they have to introduce wilfred and florencia, and after reading one of the short stories recently I want to see tiny harmut in the background getting ready to start the cult of rozemyne.
@@TheChatteringMagpi The OVAs have worked fine so far, and another does sound like a good idea. However, if you want to squeeze the baptism in, there would be a very simple way to do it--make it a motion picture for the theaters. It really doesn't matter whether Bookworm would end up being promo for the future novels, or actually continue to animate until the end--a movie would serve the same purpose as a way to tie up a ribbon on the story of Myne with a bang--a movie would do the entry scene into the cathedral full justice--while it could do a full justice to a concluding montage (the movie could be framed as our heroine looking back on the moment years later) that would hook novel readers or/and anime viewers into staying aboard for the story of Rozmyne). For instance, that's what they SHOULD have done with the recently concluded Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear series, which instead of rushing through the Millela arc could have a blockbuster movie on what arguably has proven the character's greatest adventure, which could have lured in new Bear-san fans for years to come--but then that would be typical of that crew, as the writing of that TV series was largely botched from the get-go and couldn't hold a candle to Bookworm (it appears from rumblings that the quick renewal of that series may be bringing about the absurd situation of audiences wanting more and more of Yuna and her world, but not wanting any part of getting more of the botched version they got). Just a little aside--Myne seems to be part of a growing isekai type. Where the heroes of the genera seem to be turning into heroines of late, isn't it a bit remarkable that geniuses or no, to a woman every single one of these leads seem to lack any nodding acquaintance with common sense (an occasional exception like Accomplishments of the Duke's Daughter--the original title of the novel even REFERS to the character's abundant sense!--notwithstanding).
9:00 I know most of the things and events of the series but a few things are new to me... The moment when myne was to leave her family, one of the few things that myne cares about the Most, I was BALLING my eyes out like crazy...
Of I could, I would personally fund all the way through part 5. I get it anime fuels books but I'll buy multiple sets of the books if we get more seasons
Ha ha ha love! Love! Toad image when Count Bindinwald name comes up. Add to scene I would like to see is at the Goddesses Bath, and Myne remark going against “toad” and how Damuel laughs when she compares the toad-like magic beast with Count Bindinwald.
I do agree the show will end on season 3 with the bittersweet ending. While reading LN I just finished P2V4 this week and starting P3V1 it feels like a bit of a different story. I still enjoy it but it just feels like a new adventure much more like classical isekai but with this amazing world, characters and settings.
I personally think that season 3 will end with the Myne being declared dead and that blessing for all her friends and family in the lower city. It will be a very emotional send-off, and they can spend the last episode exploring how everyone feels about the change. In a side story, Gunther apparently punched his superior for letting Count Bindewald through and got sent home for the rest of the day. I feel like the Anime could somewhat expand on that if they tried
one thing that boades well for a season 4 that makes it different from the standard LN adation, AoaB is the flashship title for their publisher who pretty new to having their works adapted.
I'll just say: p2v3 of the light novel is my favorite of the part 2 books. Yeah, there is a tendency to gloss over winter, but that was because Myne was sick so much in winter and spring that she essentially didn't really get to live them much due to being in bed the whole time. Of course, winter becomes a HIGHLIGHT of the series coming up, as that is when the Royal Academy is in session, so much so that it takes THREE whole books to cover that first winter. This is actually the first winter where Myne doesn't spend most of it sick (the orphanage and directors chambers are toasty warm during the winter). I'm looking forward to getting some Damual time. Damual is a man of incredible integrity, who sticks by Myne and later Rozemyne through all her craziness with a steadfast sword and no arrogance like what we see from other nobles. He more or less gets over the stench of the lower city right away (unlike Eckhart who ends up bedridden and useless). Oh, I hate to disappoint, but I seriously doubt we'll get anything with Zack in this next season. Technically, he does show up in a cameo during a Johann POV chapter, he doesn't actually make an appearance in front of Rozemyne until Part 3. Yes, he's as important a character as Johann, but I feel that the anime has already trivialized Johann and Ingo. They were barely mentioned and are more or less characters without lines. Heidi and Josef /seem/ like they would be important, but colored ink doesn't pay off in the story for several years.
I expect, & honestly wouldn't mine personally, that the Anime will just merge him with Johann, I like his character in the book, but feel he's unnecessary for the story in the Anime & is probably one of the best ways to save time in the adaptation
there's a moment I'd like to see that I think was in part 2 where Damuel is lying in his bed at home but suddently wakes and takes off out the window to arrive at Myne's side in her time of need. I believe this is before or perhaps during the fight with Bindewald. I've not re-read the novels yet so I may be off a bit on the details. The pacing during the LNs is interesting. In part 1 you've Myne mostly just getting her bearings and trying to survive the devouring while in part 2 she's thrust headlong into this deadly world of noble politics fighting for her life. This up and down pacing seems to be a pattern throughout the series. I'll comment on one other thing. You note this as being a children's show which I'm not so sure about. I do think they are making some effort to keep it tasteful but even in season 2 they show the starving orphans. Also, the fate of Shikikoze is pivotal and can't be glossed over. Heck, the author explores many aspects of the brutal nature that a class system brings which I doubt they could avoid in the anime.
I would love for it to be adapted fully.. but, I cannot help but at the same time I don't, as the anime never really does justice to the book... but I would love to see how they will change the book settings to show in animated version..
I wonder if we will get introduced to a certain spoiled little nuisance at the end of the season, maybe as a hook for the next arc. It would add some context for Sly and Ferdi's amazement at the success of the orphanage education system.
I think the amount of things they cut will depend on whether they will continue with the seasons or not, if they cut a lot it would mean they want to keep the audience engaged on the main conflict and it will most likely get a fourth season. if they take their time and detail everything then most likely they will end it on this season, most likely once she goes to karsted house because otherwise they would have to cover 2 books in about 8 - 9 episodes since she needs to meet elvira and family once she arrives and as far as I know they said this season will conly cover part 2 vol 3 & 4
So I actually dug around trying to find the Anime Song that she taught Ferdinand that's a kid's show & the lyrics include "I want to know what makes you happy. I don't want this to end before I know. We need love & courage." & found out that it's from a show called Anpanman & that the lyrics are from the 2nd verse of the Anpanman's March song.
@@TheChatteringMagpi I always try to find songs referenced in books & have them play on my Google home in the background while I'm reading. This was one of the more difficult ones to find
I would not be surprised if they skip all mention of the Italian Restaurant. I agree with you we will probably not get a season 4, even though I would love to see them do all the way up to current.
If they end the main content after part 2, I want it to end with Elvira talking about Cornelius and Eckhart then shift to Rozemyne’s arrival at the manor. I think that they could get to the baptism scene, but they would have to gloss over the side stories. Arno probably tripped up that ascending staircase! We must pray to the gods of Anime for seasons 4+
Predictions for the publishing of the last volume in Japanese based on how many chapters are left, how many chapters there are per book, how long it takes for the publishing process and so on are for fall/winter 2022. It is however unclear whether AoB Gaiden will be published and/or Kazuki-sensei decides to write a part 6. According to her last statement I'm aware of, she doesn't want to keep writing Roz' story while she's working on Gaiden, but is not against the idea on principle
It's pretty much confirmed that she will write a sequel. In the 6th fanbook in an answer to a question she said something like "I can't answer this part of the question because I'm planning on showing it in the sequel". But by "sequel" it's unclear if it's going to be a full volume, a few volumes or just a few chapters. And we also don't know when she's going to write it (it's going to be at least after the LN is finished).
I think the real tell on whether or not we get a season 4 is where Sylvester's hunting adventure goes in the series. If it's in or near where Myne sends him off, they don't want to continue. If it's at the end of the season, it probably means they want to use it as a halfway episode between 3 and 4, like they did with Ferdinand sending Justus and Eckhart into the lower city between 1 and 2. I think they have to at least allude to the Italian restaurant, because it ties up the resentment between Benno and the Guildmaster and also sets up everything that happens in Hasse. They might drop that entire thread of the plot, because it is pretty horrifying at the end and it only somewhat advances the primary story of Myne learning how to act as the Archduke's adopted daughter I think season 3 will end at the end of Part 2, or even the baptism ceremony, like you suggested. I think im leaning toward the end of part 2, since the key visuals don't include Rhiyarda or Bridgette, but they could be holding on to those. If there's a season 4, I think it's going to have to squeeze in the jureve gathering and rearrange or drop a lot. It depends on the director's plans for setting up a season 5. A season 4 planning to go to season 5 probably won't get all the ingredients or include Georgine's visit. Wow, I had a lot to say! Thank you for making this video and opening up a space to talk about this with other fans! Keep up the good work!
I hope they do, and there is always a chance, the manga (which I read, not a big light novel reader) is still being made right? So it would still serve as advertisement for the manga that is being illustrated. Plus the other reason why I think it has a shot is the studio, with most of their current work seems to be far less taxing animation wise and can't imagine they would refuse work if anime is profitable.
I can only hope that this will be a split-cour with seasons 3/4 showing close together like season 1/2. The obvious end for season 3 is part of the novel. But there is some really nice material at the beginning of part 3 of the novel.
The first two seasons were some of the most faithful and well executed anime adaptions in all of anime. I'm surprised how pessimistic you are about how they will handle season 3. I started reading the light novels (from the start) after I watched the anime and I remember thinking how little new info I got from reading it. The only thing I can think of is how it was explicitly stated that the people in the isekai world were of a different species that developed earlier than humans on Earth did and really had anime hair colors. And the accounts of Myne before Murano broke my heart. Also the Ferdie song is apparently the Anpanman march. And Ferdie was the one that said the song was about togetherness and friendship while Myne laughed at him for thinking that.
It just that while the 1st Season was really great at adapting the LN. Unfortunately the 2nd season was really rushed. Like the ink problems for starters, the creation of dyptichs (i know it was given a very minimal screen time but even so) the dream sequence. And alot more wasnt really given much justice. It also sucks that this is Catered for Children (which is good in a way) but it will leave out the horrifics details of the world building. Like for example the orphans being covered in pee and shit when Myne first saw them. So i do kind of see where Op's pessimist attitude it. But none the less we are really greatful for the season 3
@@ismalordyfonollera3649 I'd say the light novels are 99% kid friendly. There's the occasional "oh look at how dark I am" moments but they don't really affect what happens. There are some mature themes, but they transferred to the anime pretty well. Maybe making the characters dirtier would have been better for world building? Maybe seeing some different perspective scenes with harsher adult characters would have made them more real? The anime probably should have spent more time on developing technologies given how much the light novel spends on that, but they'd have had to make it like one of those infomercial style anime's where half the episode is exposition with a powerpoint slide to come close to doing that justice. I'm glad they opted to focus on the character interactions instead, while still giving the details.
@@DoggyP00 i understand however my thing with this and not only me but alot of the viewers as well who red the LN and WN is that one of the very reason why people stick at this anime in the first place was the world Building aspect. Heck even i saw Mother's Basement "Smartest Isekai" first before i dive in here. While the first season adapted it really well the 2nd season just lacks that. I am not saying that character interaction isnt priority. But there is definitely alot missing on some of us who went there first for "World Building"
Like the Anime isnt very action-y perse but its if your strenght is world building then show it to us. Not saying it should entirely focus on it. But atleast make it a big thing. Like 1st Season Rinsham It shows that Shampoo was made from Oils of extracted from fruit. But not only oil but it has to have the scrubber too. So using finely woven cloths will not work for Rinsham - season 1 Dyptichs - Shows a few clips. I didnt even know thats a thing till you read the Light Novel. Did it affect the whole season? Not really but its nitpick we would have wanted to know. Especially at future volumes when Harmut will notice that Rozemyne and his Gutenberg uses Dyptichs (and gets envious) and wanted one as a reward for his excellent work as a scholar.
@@ismalordyfonollera3649 I'd say they spent an appropriate amount of time on world building and on character interactions, similar to the novels. Sure, they had to cut a few things, but I think it worked really well. As a fan of the novels, I would have liked to spend more time on stuff like rinsham early on, but I'd imagine spending that much time before introducing the plot and main point of the show would be bad for new viewers. You have to ask yourself what that's already in the show do you want to have removed to add 10 minutes of talking about rinsham? Maybe you can say the bit about Lutz calling out Myne's weirdness that wasn't in the novels, but I'd say that arc was better than anything in the novels by far.
Anime should take their time: Main Myne is a special Interest in the Saga Series: The world is more Heroic Moral Modest than Action Heroic Justice Defends: ( Super Justice Defenders:) A rare movie: Discovering the Society Economy, People and landscape; Environment. Do not change, or skip an episode. Main Myne: is also Innovation inventive: handles Sell Merchants, and get along with her Customers, Family, Friends, and the Orphanage. She adapts quickly in her new world realization to where she lives. Do not forget. The Movie: People come back to see:
Her name is pronounced "Roh-zeh-myne", not "Rose-myne". (Compare to the name Roselyn.) (I have this via the J-Novel Club forums directly from the English translator, who has consulted with the author.) However, people having a different pronunciation of a fictional name isn't a big deal, so whatever.
I only hope they get the Family separation scene at the end right. I am grown man, but i had to repeatedly stop reading after a few sentences because "my eyes sweated" so much...
i think the author really want that as mush people as possible see her story, so she probably want as mush as possible to be adapt in anime. the part 2,3, and 4 of the story are adapt i parallel in manga.
I like you went full Google translate on the web novel. I didn't read it thought, I used a Text to Speech software to turn the entire thing into audio files... it actually worked better that way as I just had to listen as if a non English speaker was trying to tell the story. I deal with a large number of Asian college students where I work.
I think they may end next season with a tease of waths to come, like they ended s2 with Ferdinand talking to Karstedt A season 4 is indeed unlikely, but seasson 3 also were in this situation, lets dream for now :) But yeah, season 4 covering part 3 would be expensive with many dubs, harspiel concert, some fighting scenes...
@owo グーチmoshi :) tecnically s1 and s2 had 12 episodes (published non stop wich made seem like a single season) But for season 3 we have solid hopes for more 24 episodes
Season 4 has so many potential delights up ahead that I WANT to be proved wrong. Imagine that concert, and when Ferdinand is livid that she sold illustrations of him and tells her to explain herself 🤣 also .... Lessy!!
I fully agree with that :) The longger it goes , the more animable content we get. In the beggining she is so young and its all dialogue heavy, but as we go we get magic, music, fights, inventions,romance..... Right now with the end of the novel a seasson 4 is unlikely, there is only soo much things the public can buy to support the anime. But, if seasson 4 happened , and Myne discover magic, it would be a sure fire to all of it to be animated for many more seassons since the public wouldnt be so nieche and there is no strong shoujo/josei to compete.
even after combing through the entire wiki i am convinced this story is spoiler proof because of the high dilates & care put into it even if you know how every thing will turn up it will feel different when you get the full experience or as jiff " mother's passement " put it - when you put this mush details into a world with this small of a scope you invite people scrutiny and the world of ascendance of a bookworm holds up- this just a paraphrasing i can't remember the exact words
You know, even though I already know how the story ends I am always excited to read the latest LN release, so yes in a way it is spoiler proof because you still get so much excitement even though you already know what's happening.
I see your point but there’s still heavy spoiler that can potentially ruin the experience, for example when part 3 volume 2 was just released I looked around online and stumbled upon a heavy spoiler that almost make gave up on the series, I was thinking to consider the story done after last volume and call it a day cause I didn’t like the spoiler I didn’t see it and quite frankly I didn’t want it, but after much internal debate I came to the conclusion it wasn’t fair to judge what happens much later in the story based on what I have read, the volume I haven’t read are more than the ones I had, so I decided to give the series a chance to prove me wrong, btw the spoiler was who she ultimately ends up with, if you know you know
@@thefollower89 the fandom wiki stick close to the anime and don't advance too mush so for me an anime only follower i was not realy spoiled i mean i know enough to look forward to it and really this story is highly detailed so " the journey is better than the destination " ; try seeing like -so how is she going to get from here to there -
I disagree, my niece is just getting into reading & I'm trying to get her to the end of p2-v4 before the Anime because I don't think it will hit as hard & I feel her getting there will be a big hook, it was with me, & if I had known how that happened before I read it I would have still enjoyed it, but it would definitely have spoiled it & made it hit less hard. I actually kinda felt I lost out when reading it because I had already seen the Anime & how the book did the magic introduction would have been so much more rewarding if I didn't already know. I actually like how the books inception the Isekai-ness of the story, she's Isekai-ed by death into this world, then she's kinda Isekai-ed out of the world of commoners into a world of magic, then that was still an unexpected finish of that at the end of Part 2

I love this series so much, and can't wait to see the new season~ I just really hope that they don't have any more trip-ups like the episode where she gets attacked by the trombe. It just didn't do justice to the tension that was in the books! And yeah, we'll probably only get up to the end of Part 2 with this season, but I suuuuper want to see Lessy. That scene had me laughing so hard. XD By the way, are you on the j-novel forums as well? Half tempted to check out the other communities, though I'd like not to get spoiled past the end of the LN. =P
I heard somewhere that they are going to be more faithful to the anime on S3... I hope the rumor is true. Of course we will have to wait to see if they will ever do up to the part with Lessy!! I really loved that part too. I'm not on J-Novel club forums, but I'm on Discord and Reddit and both are pretty strict about spoilers. Discord has a special section for just light novel readers and there no spoilers of anything past the English releases. You should check it out!
@@TheChatteringMagpi I may have to take a glance soon, though since the forums there work on a weekly part release schedule well ahead of the novel releases, I may have to be a bit careful myself. X3
@@TheChatteringMagpi I think they've got more _room_ to be faithful in the new season. The first dozen episodes needed to cover 3 books, and the next dozen covered 2 books; but the new season kinda only needs to cover 1.5 books, since almost half of volume 4 was epilogue chapters. Yes, this does mean I think they'll be skipping Sylvester's forest trip; it just isn't important enough to the characters in ways that can't be expressed elsewhere. On the other hand, I think there's an ok chance we'll get Rosina's coming of age celebration, and the music that is speculated to be the opening for Anpanman.
Anime only, I am a reader, just holding off on this one, volumes in hand mind you just haven't gotten started yet. As some one who reads manga and novels when a good anime adaptation comes along it to me enhances my enjoyment anticipating how they will handle the story I already know. As such I have little to no aversion to spoiling since even "knowing" by way or dictation and summary will never convey the nuance, details and.full context that give the story its impact.
As much as I love the anime, I don't think they would focus that much on the ink or the new toys, the previous season proved that much. I would LOVE to proven wrong though. I also love the idea that we'll get a flash forward to future events that'll happen because frankly, I don't want another season since there'd be no good stopping point beyond the end of part 2 unless they adapt the entirety of part 3. My only hope is that they'll end the anime with a bang and pour all the quality into it and get more anine watchers into the light novels and maybe even the web novels. Speaking of which, are you planning to do light novel/web novel content? I would love to see a video on your thoughts about the latest JP light novel release!
In the end, anime had 10 and not 12 episodes, the battle happened, we found out the identity of Sylvester, what he did with the High Priest and the old croak noble, Maine (Myne) is separated from her family and gives her blessing. That's all. That's everything the anime covered. Then the text says that the series is over. I got a bit sad from that. And then it says that a new one begins. This made me excited again. Is that all? Will we get S4? We don't know, but one thing I can say for certain is that because of this channel, I want to go read those books.
Oh I'd love to, but I have yet to buy the manga, let alone the LNs I'd really like to see just what is said in the original and what was cut from the anime
@@kovaxim check out Trash Tier Waifus Light Novel Deepdives. He's covered the events after the anime ended. (Watch from vol 7 on, since it has additional stuff the anime didnt cover in the final episode). Thank me later 🥰
No one can say otherwise, the most painful one-sided pining ship in bookworld... Is Damuel x Paruecake. Jurgenschmidt x Peacefulness is a close second.
I just want to see the full PUHI scene. Of course I think the anime studios would be insane not to continue adapting this series given how well received it is. Unless season 3 does really bad (which I highly doubt would happen) we should hope to get a season 4. Also, I will be incredibly surprised if I don't cry when 2.4 ending is shown at the end of season 3
Well I hope you’re right about another season but I doubt it will come to be, cause if they continue with part 3 they’ll have to commit to 2 or 3 more seasons to fully adapt part 3 and call me a pessimist but I don’t see that happening unless the studio doesn’t care about leaving things unfinished
Super short version: mana makes land fertile and protects cities. Everyone whose family has a lot of mana historically could be a noble. If the child of a noble doesn't have any mana, they are not acknowledged and raised to be servants; if they don't have enough to merit their rank, they are put into the temple as blue robed priests. Only after attending the Royal Academy can someone be considered a true noble. Archnobles have the most mana, then mednobles, then laynobles. Some nobles stay in the Nobles' Quarter in Ehrenfest, others are in charge of land out in the duchy; these people are called giebes. I think count, viscount and baron also have some relationship to mana, but im not sure. Everyone who does not come from one of these noble families is a commoner, although there are clear class distinctions here, too: Myne's family is much worse off than Benno's, for instance, but a noble who didn't know any better would think they were the same. Some unknown percentage of commoners is born with mana, but since they die at a young age from the devouring, I'm sure there aren't statistics about them. Myne is such an outlier that it staggers the mind. All citizens of Ehrenfest (the duchy) are registered when they turn seven. People with mana register their mana, and people without register their blood. Hope that helps!
Oh i like to add another here. If a Noble spots a Commoner with Devouring. The noble would either make it a Concubine. (If with proper connections like Frieda) Or a Battery for Mana Stones Or a Slave Or the worst one, a Baby maker...
I’m a very new light novel reader, but I’ve already finished till part 4 volume 3. I can’t for the life of me find where i could download part 4 volume 4. Please tell me if that’s the case for everyone and it’s just not released yet, or if anyone has the pdf, please tell me how I can get it 🥲
Part 4 volume 4 comes out this month! The only way to read ahead is to translate from Japanese the original web novel using Google translate. It is.... a chore, but if you're up for it the link is on the description.
Sorry, another question: So I did research and it’s said to be released at 22 December. Predicting from previous release dates, is it accurate? Like will it be released on that date specifically or maybe a few days after?
@@nomekuni1307 it drops into your kindle at midnight. And then you don't get any sleep. Every couple of months I show up at work sleep deprived bc of this. So yeah you can bet that it will come out in that day for sure 😆😆😆
Links are on the description! For the Web Novel the link is in Japanese so you'll need Google translate or DeepL to read in English. I recommend reading the Light Novels, however as they have extra stories amd POVs that the WN doesn't have.
I wanted to see Ferdinand creating Monastery, I wanted to see the Knight Order fighting Giant Schnesturm, I wanted to see the Rozemyne cast Waschen in her lab, but it seems those won't happen at least next 2 years.. But I guess we can hope to see Ferdinand fighting the Count Toad from neighboring duchy
I get the feeling we might just see the baptism in S3, I don't think they can fill 3 more episodes with the fight and the final farewell. The next episode airing should have the final blessing to her now former family, and I genuinely hope they didn't mess it up. I cried so hard when I read it and I really hope they make the anime adaptation of that scene even more emotional (which I am pretty sure they will) Edit: apparently S3 only has 10 episodes, and as such, my guess is wrong I suppose. Still looking forward to that farewell though
They could make the baptism fit if they do a montage sequence at the very end. Who knows how it will end..... I hope it's open ended enough to lead to s4!
@@TheChatteringMagpi Now that I know that there are only 10 episodes instead of 12, I actually hope they don't do the baptism. The end of part 2 will make for a really strong ending for S3 too, and it's a natural cliffhanger too. So I'm good, though I would've loved to see the baptism too. S4 when? :'D
Season 3 (in my opinion) most likely end with Mine separation with her family, the moment she gave blessing to all she love with tears in her eyes ... that will be perfect.
You're right... but if it S3 ends there I would hope that they have pity on us and make a 4th season. Otherwise it would be so cruel to end on such an epic but sad note!!!
Yeah, if the story is nearly finished then the next season will likely be the last. Even though 'magic academy' school arcs are popular there would probably need to be, at minimum, a new mobile game in development to 'justify' a fourth season. So I guess if they ever have an academy battle game in the future you might see a season four to go with it...
I'm one of the anime people but I wanna read the novel. But I don't know how. Pls tell me where I can read it or listen to someone read it for me. Pls 🙏🥺
So the Light Novels are still being published. You can get the ebooks through Amazon or through j-novel club. If you want to read the whole completed story, you're going to have to read it off the original website where the novel was first published (link is on the description). It is in Japanese so you'll have to translate it yourself chapter by chapter. I used DeepL for this as it is far more readable than Google Translate, but it is not perfect. If there are phrases it can't translate properly, simply paste the phrase on the Google translate and then fo back to DeepL and carry on from there. It's a great novel so the investment in purchasing the light novels and the time to translate the stuff that hasn't yet been officially translated is very much worth it. Happy reading!
Listening to all of your "I want to see" list, one wonders whether you hang out in the Bookworm sub-forums at J-Novel Club... If you don't, consider it; you'd fit in just _fine_. In re Season 4 options... _Strike the Blood_ has continued on as a very high quality OVA series, so that might seem an option, although I don't know the logistics of how they've pulled that one off.
I would hope that they give more seasons or OVAs to this series. Fingers crossed!!! Also, I'm not on J-novel.club because I'm just a filthy commoner (or rather I already have way too many subscriptions 😭) so I just buy Light Novels and get my Bookworm discussions over at Discord.
@@TheChatteringMagpi J-Novel has a Discord... with an active Bookworm discussion area. Oh, wait. It's an active _pre-pub_ Bookworm discussion area... Kinda spoilerific then, if you _aren't_ reading the pre-pub sections at their main site. Hmm... bummer. ETA: Just checked, and the only difference between the versions of the ebook you'd purchase elsewhere and the Premium edition direct from J-Novel for _Bookworm_ is high res illustrations; _other_ series get bonus stories and such, so their Premium editions justify the membership a bit more.
the anime sude keep going to the end of all the books are don the books are good i read hall of them and woch all the anime keep up the good work for the hold world.
I doubt it. They cut out the bath scene in the dream world sequence that would have given it a bit of extra context amd that makes that part extra funny.
Haha I got some messages from anime onlies who were upset at me for trying to shoo them away. Please believe me you are very precious to me and I simply want to protect you all T__T I have even deleted spoilery comments in other videos for your sake.

@owo グーチmoshi :)
episode 1-13 is season 1 (1-3 of "soldiers daughter")
episode 14-26 is season 2 (1-2 of "apprentice shrine maiden")
@@johnnemesh5459 at the end of the last LN (until Dec 22 when the next comes out) she's still 10, but
*************SPOILERS**************
her body is still 8, having slept for 2, & still looking like she's 5-6 because of her stunted growth because of the devouring.
idrc about spoilers but ok
I cried…so much when Myne was taken from her family. And even though she’s Rozemyne I can’t help but still call her Myne. She’ll always be Myne to me 😭
I teared up just thinking about it during this video
Same here!! 😭
My biggest cry was for Delia & Dirk, Delia who Myne told to care for Dirk like family, who was seriously trying to, knowing she was going to die & asking Myne to save her brother, not to save her, but to save Dirk
I cried the first time... and the second and third time. Maybe the fourth time too.
I've reread these books a lot.
That hurt, but the part that kept. stabbing. my. heart. was the scenes afterwards. When the characters are just sitting there having to deal with that.
"I made this for the light novel people that just want to hear me talk about ascendance of a bookworm"
Hey that's me
One of my favorite moments at the end. I cried like a child while reading it. I'd love to hear you talk about the author too, she seems like a really sweet person.
Honestly i wish they Highlight the scene where Gunther wishes the Baby (Kamil) be born healthy and Myne thought that Gunther doesnt someone sickly as Myne but it really meant that Gunther and Effa had many miscarriages and Dead children and Only Myne and tuli survived
it really contextualizes Gunther
@@geraldgrenier8132 Gunther Best Dad woo!
I don’t remember Myne taking it that way, but yeah infant mortality rate be high yoo! The main portion that I remember is how out of place she was because she was so hygiene focused and every viewed her as in the way.
@@alpharius5178 this was the exact portion of the LN
"Doesn't matter to me whether it was fastor slow. As long as the birth goes safely this time, I don't care how long it takes."
"This time?" I asked without thinking too
much about it, Maybe he was saying he
wanted a healthy child this time instead of a sickly one like me.
As much as I agree that It would be great to have, I'm pretty sure the scene will get the axe, or be very truncated. I'm sure they will not explain in detail how many miscarriages they had and least of all the boy that was born healthy, but died anyway before turning 1.
I bawled when Myne said goodbye to her family. I can't forget that scene at all.
I really _really_ hope it gets another season after this. I wish they would just do a crowdfunding campaign if they needed more.
Yes, I'd be like "Shut up and take my money!!" I mean... after purchasing all the light novels physical and ebook, the manga, etc of course I'd throw in some money so they could continue animating it 😂
I love Heidi! The author has commented that she shows what Myne might have become had she not been dragged into the world of the nobles.
And didn’t have the devouring and was healthy
That goes for the pair that is. Heidi and Josef are like a non-magical Myne and her Lutz.
Without healing magic she wouldn't survive childbirth (not that she could have kids with a commoner anyway).
your over doing it
@@doglover-xg1kh not really lol
How do you not have millions of views yet!?? This is quality content right here! Love hearing your thoughts, I really want to see the hugging scenes and the breakdown of Rozemyne before her baptism. I hope they show how jealous Myne was about Delia and her bond with Dirk
wtf? She summarized a light novel.
if they wont make season 4 , they should end it at the ferdinand concert because the mood is merry and fun ,also we got little tease how the noble society works
I'm really excited for the after credits shorts, since those were more for LN readers and I am finally one of them myself
Oooh starting with the funeral would be a bold move and I am here for it. I would love to see those parts you mentioned animated as well!
Smart move, my friend. Believe me, it will be worth it to watch season 3 without any knowledge of spoilers!!
Unelss the "spoiler" is reading the novels themselves that is. ;)
Either way I can only recommend reading the books, whether it's before or after the anime.
Yes this series just keeps getting better!! It would be a damn shame if it didn't get animated.
I look forwards to your video on Part 1 Volume 3. Will you be doing ones for the two OVAs as well?
Yes, they will be included within the videos I'm working on for LN vs Anime book 3 and 4
Myne's funeral is well set up as perfect recap episode
This is so true!!
Tiny Hartmut!!! I would LOVE to see the moment that started it all and his reaction. Yes. I want to see this.
Omg, I hope they continue the series till the end 😭
Ha ha ha love! Love! Toad image when Count Bindinwald name comes up. Add to scene I would like to see is at the Goddesses Bath, and Myne remark going against “toad” and how Damuel laughs when she compares the toad-like magic beast with Count Bindinwald.
Bwahahaha yes, and her freakout when having all these toads on her was so funny. I really would love to see this part!
This is a really good point. There's a glimmer of hope!!!
Can"t wait
I hope we get this in the anime, the light novels were great and love watching your content.
I want this series to continue 😭
I would love for it to be adapted fully..
but, I cannot help but at the same time I don't, as the anime never really does justice to the book...
but I would love to see how they will change the book settings to show in animated version..
I wish they would cover the whole story in the anime
I wonder if we will get introduced to a certain spoiled little nuisance at the end of the season, maybe as a hook for the next arc. It would add some context for Sly and Ferdi's amazement at the success of the orphanage education system.
You mean Wilfred (AKA Sylvester 2.0)? That would be fun.
Bwahahah!!! Thank you! You've just solved one of the greatest mysteries in the world and I can now rest knowing what that song sounded like 😂😆🙌❤
@@TheChatteringMagpi I always try to find songs referenced in books & have them play on my Google home in the background while I'm reading. This was one of the more difficult ones to find
I love to see all upcoming seasons ❤
I would not be surprised if they skip all mention of the Italian Restaurant. I agree with you we will probably not get a season 4, even though I would love to see them do all the way up to current.
I always start to tear up when people talk about the end of part 2. Unfortunately I expect this will be the final season.
Seeing and hearing my beautiful Elvira would be a dream. Please anime gods let this be so!!! 😭
The 5th grade of Hannerore's aristocratic school has already been released halfway on the web
They might drop that entire thread of the plot, because it is pretty horrifying at the end and it only somewhat advances the primary story of Myne learning how to act as the Archduke's adopted daughter
I think season 3 will end at the end of Part 2, or even the baptism ceremony, like you suggested.
You got some excellent points! Thanks for sharing and I hope season 3 does not disappoint.
I love to see seasons 4,5
I hope they do, and there is always a chance, the manga (which I read, not a big light novel reader) is still being made right? So it would still serve as advertisement for the manga that is being illustrated. Plus the other reason why I think it has a shot is the studio, with most of their current work seems to be far less taxing animation wise and can't imagine they would refuse work if anime is profitable.
Yes but the manga production is really slow. However they are doing it altogether. PART 2, PART 3 AND PART 4
I've finished the wn to finish the story and loved it.
Congrats! Welcome to the Web Novel Veterans club 😊
I can only hope that this will be a split-cour with seasons 3/4 showing close together like season 1/2. The obvious end for season 3 is part of the novel. But there is some really nice material at the beginning of part 3 of the novel.
This!!!! I would just love it if they did this
The first two seasons were some of the most faithful and well executed anime adaptions in all of anime.
Like 1st Season Rinsham
It shows that Shampoo was made from Oils of extracted from fruit. But not only oil but it has to have the scrubber too. So using finely woven cloths will not work for Rinsham - season 1
Dyptichs - Shows a few clips.
Anime should take their time: Main Myne is a special Interest in the Saga Series:
The world is more Heroic Moral Modest than Action Heroic Justice Defends: ( Super Justice
Defenders:) A rare movie: Discovering the Society Economy, People and landscape; Environment.
Good to know. Thanks!
That blessing is one of my favourite in that chapter
Oh this is so smart! I will give that a try on my next re-read~
I think they may end next season with a tease of waths to come, like they ended s2 with Ferdinand talking to Karstedt
A season 4 is indeed unlikely, but seasson 3 also were in this situation, lets dream for now :)
But yeah, season 4 covering part 3 would be expensive with many dubs, harspiel concert, some fighting scenes...
@owo グーチmoshi :) tecnically s1 and s2 had 12 episodes (published non stop wich made seem like a single season)
But for season 3 we have solid hopes for more 24 episodes
Season 4 has so many potential delights up ahead that I WANT to be proved wrong. Imagine that concert, and when Ferdinand is livid that she sold illustrations of him and tells her to explain herself 🤣 also .... Lessy!!
I fully agree with that :)
The longger it goes , the more animable content we get.
In the beggining she is so young and its all dialogue heavy, but as we go we get magic, music, fights, inventions,romance.....
Right now with the end of the novel a seasson 4 is unlikely, there is only soo much things the public can buy to support the anime.
But, if seasson 4 happened , and Myne discover magic, it would be a sure fire to all of it to be animated for many more seassons since the public wouldnt be so nieche and there is no strong shoujo/josei to compete.
even after combing through the entire wiki i am convinced this story is spoiler proof because
of the high dilates & care put into it even if you know how every thing will turn up it will feel different when you get the full experience or as jiff " mother's passement " put it - when you put this mush details into a world with this small of a scope you invite people scrutiny and the world of ascendance of a bookworm holds up- this just a paraphrasing i can't remember the exact words
I'm one inspired by the anime to read the Light Novels.

Yes yes yes!!!
XD
By the way, are you on the j-novel forums as well?

I think they've got more _room_ to be faithful in the new season.
After I watched 1st season I did not want to wait for 2nd so I just went ahead and bought all books that are translated :)
Same!!
I wanna see the part with the shomills black and white aka weiss and shwartz
Ahhh. I would love it if they animated all that Royal Academy shenanigans!
I agree with you 💯 👍
Sylvester looks so cool. Honestly I have yet to come across someone who loves this series as much as I do!
Ohohoho you're in for a treat!!! These books are highly addictive, so let me know what you think when you read them!
Puhi puhi! I'm excited for this next season!

Love the content. Can you please make a video about the structure of Nobility and Commoner? Why is that way it is? Something like that. *suggestion*
@@brendanmuse7920 Thanks. That is insightful.

Those are all super epic scenes and I hope that one day we can see them come to life....
I get the feeling we might just see the baptism in S3, I don't think they can fill 3 more episodes with the fight and the final farewell. The next episode airing should have the final blessing to her now former family, and I genuinely hope they didn't mess it up. I cried so hard when I read it and I really hope they make the anime adaptation of that scene even more emotional (which I am pretty sure they will)
Edit: apparently S3 only has 10 episodes, and as such, my guess is wrong I suppose.
You're right... but if it S3 ends there I would hope that they have pity on us and make a 4th season. Otherwise it would be so cruel to end on such an epic but sad note!!!
So basically Season 4 is likely going to be her new life with her new family?
If we get a season 4, then yes. We'd get to meet them!
I wish for S4 - the birth of Stenluke. 🤣
And Lessy.
@@TheChatteringMagpi Thank u so much(づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
Still watching it regardless of spoilers 😌
Do you think they'll show the medical examination?
I doubt it. They cut out the bath scene in the dream world sequence that would have given it a bit of extra context amd that makes that part extra funny.
Can anybody recommend sites to read the lightnovel, I can’t find a reliable site so far.
I would do anything to see Ferdinand’s concert in the anime!! I wish they make it that far!!
