    I'm not sure why other window fans have become such pieces of garbage ruclips.net/user/postUgkxGjG43--gYqIoT4Xkur2PqCrtbKwTv2h6 but this one definitely is nice. It's quiet, it has buttons for different functions that you generally don't have to keep pressing over and over again like some of the others, and the remote is a nice feature. Still, button simplification could go further to single functions for each and every one, but it's decent enough. It's a very quiet fan, the quietest window fan that I have ever had, and that alone is worth the extra money over the cheaper ones.

    Thanks so much, I found a pretty new Pelonis fan, same as this but white color. Had some tape on it. Watching your video I was able to open it, the hardest part are those snaps on top, as you show, you need to push down in those two places on top, I found that using a flat head screwdriver and sticking it into those two square snaps, easily releases them, easier than by pushing with your fingers and trying to pry it apart, it just instantly separates it as soon as you get the screwdriver pushed in, then you can just wrangle it all out of the side/sides.

    2/13/2020 USA Grandpa Bill mk: THANK YOU. Like everyone else, I've struggled with this box fan. Your disassembly got me back on track. Now I can clean the blades. It seems the designer figured that when the blades got dirty we'd throw it out and buy a new one, or poke a stick with a cleaning rag into the grill slots to wipe the edges of the blades. The fan blades look like a pirate's cutless. All this being said, my fan has run beautifully, quietly, and well balanced all along. Despite the mystery, aggravation, and damage to the case to get it open, grandma and me have enjoyed the fan. Getting it back together so it stays together is the next challenge, but I have a roll of boxing tape if necessary.

I tried to tie the motor to the cover using string to keepjit out of the way of the fan but there wasn't a way. Then I began trying to figure out how to take it apart. I was trying to pop it off from the top ... I even stuck a screw driver through the slats and took off the screws that are on the inside of the fan... That’s great. I had to look through six dumbasses, wanting to show me how a fan works and how to take one out of a box.
    I guess there’s people out there that maybe don’t know how to take a pan out of a box and turn it on.
    I just didn’t want to break the fan, taking it apart to clean it.
    Normally, I just sprayed them down with the hose and let them dry for three days. But it got hot pretty quick and I wanted to be able to use it tonight.

  • @BigEightiesNewWave
    @BigEightiesNewWave 7 месяцев назад +1

    As a Lasko box fan owner, this is a much better design. Esp. how the blade is secured with a nut, and not all the little self-tapping screws I have to remove to get the grilles and/or motor out. Midea makes their stuff, and IMO they are top notch. They made my little space heater too, and it is quality.
