Will this sensor be the reason why at the end of my shift before turning off the truck I write down miles when I turn off truck and then turn the key back on it adds about 30-40 miles to the original miles pls help
Hi Ryan. I'm having issues with my MPH Gauge on the cluster. The needle does not read correctly and jumps up and down. Does the speed sensor have anything to do with it ?
@@davinderpalsingh2828 -So, now I'm going to ask you,.. Did you ever figure out you MPH Gauge on the cluster and determine if it was the speed sensor? Also, I'm curious if it was the speed sensor, could it also be a sign that the bearings in the drive shaft are going bad?
still waiting on the video of a isx speed sensor, there are several however your video on a speed sensor in a eaton metric transmission was ok....lol, the external sensors are not easy to get out the internal ones arent too bad,
So if the speed sensor is unplugged will it stop the eld from working properly, like if I were to move over 5mph it wouldn't put the eld on driving line????
Hey y'all. Listen up. If your using an ELD in your truck then read the following before rushing out to buy/replace your speed sensor. If your speed sensor/speedometer fails try this FIRST. 1 Turn off your tablet or cell phone. 2 Unplug ELD (green plug under dash) wait 10 minutes. 3 Disconnect battery cables...all negative terminals. 4 Wait ten minutes. 5 Reconnect battery terminals. Your speedometer MAY start working again. Mine did. 😊
right side below the egr cooler, once you unbolt the plate it is bolted to the plate, oil filter is on the plate, plug the oil holes when you buff it or you will burn your #4 main bearing out, just a bunch of bolts and gaskets, turbo, exhaust, plate, oil cooler, basically the right side of the engine,
You can also tap into it to manipulate your Elog save drive time. Connect a switch to it turn off when stuck in stop n go traffic elod will think you’re stopped.
If u ever drive and truck truck is in derate as soon as I pull over. When u stop driving out trailer brakes on and leave truck brakes off and ur truck won't go into derate until u shut it down
all right I'm the first to make a comment you're the best as always good luck
Thank you!
@@truckingandfixing trying to locate speed sensor so I can unplug it where is it located
If you’re ever de-rated and can’t fix it at the moment you can unplug the sensor and it will allow you to bring your speed up to like 50 or so
Good information. Thank you.
Welcome!!
Appreciated n now subscribed 😎🤙🏾
Great video
Thank you!
On a 8LL, how do you adjust a screw in type speed sensor? Thanks
What size socket for the bolt?
Can this sensor cause erratic speedometer behavior on only the RPM side?
Just curious...do you know if the speed sensor is the only thing that tells the ECM the truck is moving? Thanks.

Thank you
Will do! Thanks for the suggestion.

@@davinderpalsingh2828 no man. The issue just seemed to resolve itself and the cluster went back to normal.

This should have been titled eaton fuller speed sensor not isx speed sensor
If you replace the sensor but the problem persists what else could it be
What’s the part number for this sensor?

I have a volvo vnl 780 Cummings with a eaton transmission the speed sensor located in same place on the back of the transmission
Thanks for sharing!
Hey Ryan does that sensor control your rpm?
No, it shouldn’t have anything to do with it
Where does the oil cooler sit on the engine and can u explain how hard or easy it is to remove from a six Cummins , please…

When we broke the sensor how to auto
Just did it with drive line installed, I'm a big guy and it was a pain in the dick compared to this, but it's still not bad, just dirty.
The only this I would add is dialectic grease, always a good idea when doing electrical.
For educational purposes if this sensor was to unplug its self the truck could roll with out the Eld knowing🤔🤔
