In my martial arts career, i have done 5yrs Wing Chun training, 15yrs TKD reaching 3rd Dan, then I went to India at the age of 38 and stayed, as I got a job working for a UK company exporting from India. I stayed in this job for 20yrs spending 9 months per yr in India. In the "When in Rome" scenario I studied Yoga under a top Guru, one on one, not in a large class and found it really improved my martial arts(I practised an hour or two a day martial arts alone) The relaxation and breathing in yoga transferred easily to my martial practice. I have trained with many good teachers but none better than Sensei Hotton! At 66 I am back studying martial arts although I still do 1 hr Yoga every morning as well. Watching Sensei Hotton made me think about Shotokan and I found a great club locally where I have started as a white belt and I am loving it! Its never too late to progress in life! Osu!!!
