It's amazing to me how "Heart and Soul" always seems to bring musicians together in beautiful ways. It's that one song that, sure, amateurs will show off when they don't know much. But it's also that song that's better with a duo and just seeing the connection between that duo, regardless of their skill. This scene is an example of that. But there's also a scene from the Tim Minchin series "Upright" that shows the connection between two opposite people even better. The song has a very proper title. It's lovely way to connect opposing forces in any way possible. ❤

Remembered this scene was so wholesome watching it in the cinema with my dad.
playing the piano is awesome
Thank you, Penny Marshall, wherever you are. Some people say they smile, when they see this scene. That's not what it does to me. And I agree with all of the commenters who said it was one of the greatest scenes in movie history.
What a great childhood we had back in the 80's. We were so lucky and didn't even know it.
1분 30초부터 존좋...
젓가락 행진곡이잖아
Notice the best part. None of the observers had a stupid phone out recording their piano playing. They just simply were in the moment enjoying life with others.
Thanks for stating the obvious.
Of course, most of the general public didn't have cell phones in the '80s.
A LEGENDARY scene and a LEGENDARY movie in cinema history, will never be forgotten♥️
One of the greatest scenes in movie history!
This never gets old
God, just watching this again brings back memories and I found myself smiling so hard by the end of the clip.
Rest in Peace Robert Loggia. Hell of an actor
I was fortunate enough to spend the day with my kids in FAO SCHWARTZ BACK IN THE 90S 🧸
RIP Penny Marshall. Thank you for your work, Tom Hanks' career and his best movie ever.
This reminds me of childhood so much, we had it on VHS
Not a single person has a cell phone out. Living in the moment.

I just watched that episode not too long ago
Ha isn't that from family guy
Yes
L as in look over there, it's Robert logia
Lol family guy??
I was in NYC's FAO Schwartz yesterday, and there were a pair of guys trying to do this, and the look on the clerk's face was just, "....every....f*ckin....day...."
What's " big" is comprehending what this movie is about. Without a parable spoke he not unto them
RIP Penny Marshall and Robert Loggia, I want to thank both of you and Tom Hanks for coming together and making this classic
Luv this movie as a child growing up 😊
I consistently come back to rewatch this over and over. I can count on one hand how many scenes from movies just bring me pure joy
RIP Robert Loggia
Amazing scene
As a kid I thought this scene was cool. As an adult I freaking Love 💕 it....
As a kid I didn’t care for it. As an adult I don’t care for it.
One of my all time fav films ❤
Big was such a great movie, when he turned back to the kid and went home, that part rips my heart out of my chest , i was 12 when that movie came out, plus shout out to Patrice Rushen 🙌🏾
That scene must've been hard to practice.
take 138. and tom? don't f*ck up this time.
In reality they had actually prepped stunt doubles to preform the scene, so Tom and Robbert made it their goal to preform perfectly without them
Yeah, but they probably kept on practicing until they got it right.
Paula Abdul choreograph this scene
Either the audio is recorded later, or the instrument only excepts 4 key presses at one time, because they hit many mistake keys but it still sounds correct
This is one of my favorite Tom Hanks movies, (besides the terminal) that really made my heart ache. It's such an emotionally impactful movie. Absolutely beautiful.
Classic ,just Classic scene and movie!
This scene always reminds me when I drew a huge crowd at Guitar Center one day. I sat at one of the pianos and played My Heart Will Go On and dozens of people stood there for 5 minutes as I played. I felt real nervous having all those people watch me but I was just having fun 😊🎹
Fake.
__ Look at his channel
Whaaaaat? SO MUCH TEEEEEXT
This is and probably will always be the best scene from this movie
