Thanks it’s exactly what I was looking for I just replace my fuel pump and the fuel gauge still not working I think 🤔 Needs to be reset it just like in this video awesome 😎
Did this work for you? I just replaced my fuel pump and now the gas gauge shows empty and throwing p0463 code (fuel level sensor a circuit high) I tried this and it didn't work.
My 2000, dodge 1500, started acting up sometimes would read. But then stayed on empty. This fixed it.working great. Saved over 400 bucks in repairs. Dodge Has almost 200k miles was thinking fuel pump, and sensor, finially need repaired. Thanks
wow i shouldve tried that before i replaced entire fuel pump assembly mine would go to empty randomly the would come back. but still couldve been the sending unit in my case
Man I really hate all the tricks you have to do on cars these days! Just because they have all these sensors! I miss the days when you just change parts and not have to be a software engineer to know what's wrong with your car🤦♂️
What would cause it not to reset to full when the tank is full. Fuel pump is only 3 years old and barely used. Gas gauge wasnt reading full since it was put in.
Stupid question here, I did that truck it shows Im on empty in my Dodge 2500 HD Ram Diesel pick up 5.9 l and I put 5.6 gallons in it so it should show above E and no light, but no it shows empty what gives? I believe it's a 35 gallon tank or does it mean it is the reserve fuel so I don't run out of diesel that would be another nightmare.
I'm put some gas treatment and see if it will unstuck my float in the tank. If that don't work then I'm gona thow in a burning match. Nothing but RAM problems since I got this paper weight.
@@leemontoya8028 The fuel sending sensor is located on the pump, in the tank. One can pull the pump and replace the level sensor (super easy) or you can buy the entire pump that has new filter, float, sender sensor etc one one big shebang and call it a day.
my gas works but it's not in sync with the overhead display of the DTE. Around 80 tank or so it used to say low fuel now it says low fuel when I have a half a tank. Is there any way to sync your gas gauge with the overhead display? Thanks for your time
This actually worked in my case...i was about to pull the unit out of the tank...thanks for sharing this
Bro you are a life saver I thought I needed a whole new fuel leveler… I had no idea
Thanks bro

@redcloud5813 did you ever fix this problem?
@@redcloud5813did it ever work? I got the same thing
@@camhenderson-ym5cw mine turned out to be a faulty fuel pump ( bad fuel level sensor.)
Bro I love you!!!!!!! I just had to do this on my way to work. Exactly what I needed man!
U saved my life 🙏🏾 I keep running outta fukn gas
AWESOME IT WORKS!!! MONEY SAVER! ENGINE STAYED ON HOW TO FIX THAT PART?
im having the same issue did you resolve it?
Gave it a try on my 2010 - Regrettably it didn't do the trick. Thanks for your video.
Yea the newer ones have something different with the computer
@@6ohSTEVE any idea how to fix those? Mines an 08 2500 Hemi
Mine will work occasionally….
I have a 2008 v6 ram 1500. It didn't work on mine either.
Mine didn't work either. 04 1500 Laramie AwD

the "trick" just saved you $400 or a week of repairs if you tried doing it yourself
Lmfao this truck has basically no electronics compared to actually new vehicles
Thank you for sharing!!!👍

Thanks so much for this video.bro
WOW Thank You!!!
Tried it in my 2008 dodge, it showed a few codes then it stopped, but still reads empty, any ideas
Any idea how to do this on a 2006 where the tripometer is on the overhead console?
I have 2006 and it has the reset button on the guages as well. ? Regardless this trick did not work on my 2006 SLT
Mine also gives other numbers before the zeros. Is that computer codes?

What causes it to throw the error code to the ECU though?
Míne is a 3500 2005 diesel. I did the reset but didn’t work. 😢
Legend
What if I do this and it moves but then goes right back to empty ?
Wire or sensor defective maybe?
thanks a milllion
Will this work on diesel
I faced same issue I'm my truck1500 2015 So any idea to rest

Ain't that the truth. Still wouldn't catch me in a Ford though!
I just got a 04 ram back in Feb and im going to be going back to gm soon
What gen ram is this, will this work for my 96?
I have a 96 also! same problem! replaced sending unit in tank still not reading right!
@leemontoya8028 my ram just needed new EVERYTHING
Pump, filter, Lines, level sensor etc

@@CreamyCornCobI done that already! it's still not marking right!
Didn't work. It ran the guage check buy still says 1/10 tank and I just put $100 in. I mean I know gas is expensive but DAM.
It didn't work for my truck. What next?
Might need to diagnose it and replace the parts, probably the whole fuel pump unit
There is possibility it can just be the float. On the fuel pumnp, they are just a then metal real weak. I'll check that 1st
I did that and mine still shows full
Didn't work on my 04. Now running rough idle when parked. Kinda freaking out now.
Possibly fuel pump

Mine too
Does this work for GMC and Chevy vehicles? My mom drives a 2006 GMC Yukon XL
did you find out if it worked?
Mine gave me 64 00 and A4 18.. what are these codes ? Anyone ?
It didn’t fix mine what does that mean
Will this work in 1983 b250?
Not sure, worth a try
Hi but My Truck went to put gas full tank and now it doesn't show me how much gas I'm wasting what do I do 😢
Sorry for late response sound like fuel pump issue
That's a trip button not a tach button.
😢 minds still doing it might need a fuel pump 😢
For some reason it didn’t work on mine
And my truck is 2003
I'm an 03 as well. Didnt work. Not giving up. Did you get yours fixed yet? If so any tips for me?
Does this work on Cummins
What year is thos truck?
2004
Mine gives me code number
I don't got gas. I don't got a grasp on language.
Hu un hi jb
awesome thanks man
