VH1 was also what solidified my desire to be a musician in life. It is best to follow our dreams then to be very old and wished we had tried. I have no regrets.
Very very cool man. I wanted to go out west and almost did so. Same reason, but it was Ozzy's first album with RRs that really made me practice even more than I had before. I grew up in the mid 70s hearing Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent, Pink Floyd, and saw many many great bands. I love suitcase pimps love is grand as a name. 😂 I will have to check it out. Man, the 80s just killed it with guitars. It turned into an olympic sport. 😂 Good stuff my brother and you're an interesting musician! You have really played a lot amd worked really hard and you deserve the awards brother ❤.. God speed man❤. Be well and safe sir in yoyr new efforts in Florida!!! ♥️. Regards from the heartland. South Central Indiana. USA. Tim. ❤
Tim best to you brother! Thank you! Yes Randy Rhodes was another of the guys that really set the world on fire. 🔥 it did turn into an Olympic sport and I guess that ultimately may have been part of the demise. Not enough focus on the songs. Thanks so much bro and best to you!
Brad, great stories, keep it rollin. Love the wall stuff. I was Edgar Winter’s guitarist early 80s. We just missed VH in Caracas, loaded in day after they played 83( their mega tour w Roth). Good luck in Fl.
Halen opened for Sabbath on the 78-79 tour, and many felt seriously upstaged Sabbath. I attended the Oakland show, and while Sabbath was fine, it's kind of true.
I too saw VH w/Sabbath at Oakland. Pure Fire. I was a Sabbath fan, but VH was new and insane. Great show. I saw them two nights in a row for the Fair Warning tour and that was just the wild. Different vibe w/1984. Didn't like it.
@@badbrad Yes. Drop Dead Legs is killer. My favorite track. I wish the album was like "legs" or that old version of House of Pain. I used to do sprints to that song. Pure Adrenaline. FIRE! Love your channel. Keep on the whispering. It sounds cool and "up close", plus the baby and mom can sleep. I am in Pediatrics/Family Practice, so I totally get it. Great work Brad! I had a bud Steve Zukowski same time as you were at GIT. He played in some tribute bands. Zeppelin and Queen. Great guy and player too.
Had a Charvel model 4 and a Carvin half stack back in them days. Sure wish I had met you before you moved. I couldn’t have convinced you to stay… I’m contemplating Austin. The scene down there, I don’t have the words. It’s not woo girls…
Not an eric church fan - went to his concert and the bar was cut off less than an hour into the show - he was singing songs about drinking and raising hell but i couldnt get a beer - i left -

I feel the same way Jeff!

Wow very cool. Edgar Winger you got to be a good player to do that gig.
Trying man. Always a student like you said. You’re in a great lane with the storytelling.

I got to see Van Halen twice once in the 70s with diamond dave and later with Sammy both shows were excellent
Wow that is incredible.
Yep Canada in January. Great poster with crossed sticks & maple leaf ball cap. Was probably Cold cold Brad. Hard to be bad when yer freezin' lol
It was battling cold beers and frigid temperatures
WOW you've had a lifetime of accomplishments; that's awesome! Congrats!
Thank you!! 😊

I would imagine so......

@@SPY1964-LL I've often described 1984 as a sort of last victory lap. WE know now the band was going through alot. Change was a foot.

I've had some friends live in Austin for a while....they have their struggles there as well.
Nice!
Thank you!

That's tough but I doubt he had a say in that. Venue usually set the rules.
