Couldn’t agree more as a student of Milo. I saw him for 8 hours last December. Worked on it for almost a year and just saw him again a few weeks ago. This time owning more of the “move”. Stick to the process and keep working. I’ve added speed and consistency with less effort. Well worth the work and struggle of changing the program. Having played golf for my whole life and being around many great teachers, Milo is the best. He hasn’t reinvented the wheel, just simplified everything through athletic instruction.

@8:40….excellent point. The other day at the range working on 1/2 swing pitches with my hands no higher above my waistline, ended up being almost shoulder high on video. Couldn’t believe it.

This is the best video of the year! It doesn't matter how many lessons you have or changes you need to make, without this information and unless you implement this regime, nothing will happen except frustration that you're not improving. Thank you gentlemen. This is pure GOLD!

This is a great video, concise explanation about stages of changes, i work on my changes on the range for some time before taking on the course, i only just started the squat move out on the course after several months of practice, I've got to say results impressive, seem to have more time on the downswing, my miss has changed from a pull and a hook to a slight push, but not wild, so generally in play, so yes absolutely be patient, practice and wait until you have confidence before taking out on the course

The hardest thing is not to worry about the outcome! It seems so contradictory when we have always judged the swing by the outcome. We have to learn to judge the swing by the swing, or the feel of the swing, or the film of the swing. The good outcomes will arrive, hopefully. The absolute worst is not the not getting the swing, but the getting it for a few holes and have the damn thing disappear. I don't mean I hit all good outcome shots when it goes well, but the feel is so right and my best outcomes are so much better than my previous ones. Roll on! Cheers for your efforts.

Interesting video. My big question after watching this though is if you don’t care where the ball goes how do you know if you doing it correctly? I see this on many golf drills “don’t worry where the ball goes” ie. If I’m practicing staying in posture and I go thru a bucket of balls doing the drill but still not making good ball contact what am I learning ? Confused?

Great question, you’re correct where the ball goes is honestly the only thing matters. The question is how you made the ball move, this is why when making a change especially a significant change it takes time so go slow and give yourself feedback with either video or training aids or both.

Loved it all, it hit home with me although I do not record my swing. Keeping head down just has the feel that you can’t generate enough speed into the ball making it tougher to keep down!!!

Simmo, actually if you use the ground and your body correctly you’ll actually have more speed and more face control.

Hi Milo, can you do a video on the conflict that exists between shallowing the shaft and squaring the face? The more one shallows with arm rotation the more the face is open to the path. I believe this is the biggest barrier to shallowing the plane. Your expert thoughts would be appreciated. Johnny
Edit: I meant open to the target line

Johnny, check your grip first, then get correct wrist conditions

I will be doing a video soon regarding the 'door knob' move. This should answer these points. Thanks Johnny.

@@MiloLinesGolf Thanks, Milo. If you could talk to the unwinding of the door knob through the hit that would be great. I get the transition piece. Cheers

Understand everyone is different but approximately how long will it take, 10,000 balls? 3 weeks? A month?

Undoubtedly it depends on the student and how quickly they can achieve a new movement pattern, that is why we suggest making slow exaggerated motions before building at higher speeds. This can help expedite the process. We lay all of this out on our online academy at milolinesgolf.com. Thanks for watching Gordon!

    • @edlasatergolf

Depends on the student and the amount of change.

Too many high handicappers think there's a magic bullet. They want quick fixes that don't exist in most cases. Then as you said , one bad shot and their done.
