    What a great & clear illustration, second to none!
    Only one thing to add, when eye adducts (inward towards nose), the the superior rectus provides the intorsion & inferior inferior olique the elevation (inwards towards glabella).

    Thank you, for uploading this video definitely helpful, though i would like to add up that there should be the mention of the fossavil spina, when it comes to the description of the superior oblique muscle and the the importance of the directional change of this muscle. On the orbital plate of the frontal bone there is a presence of a depression which gives attachment to the fibro cartilaginous pulley and this pulley helps in the changing of the direction of the superior oblique muscle. Though trivial but it might just improve this video further.
    Regards

    Very helpful video! I noticed one mistake though. At the 2:00 mark, you say superior rectus when you should have said superior oblique. It would help future viewers if you add an annotation with a correction at that time point.

      Thank you Nitish. I am sorry I did not see your post sooner! I added an annotation. I have a bad habit of doing that in the classroom as well, however, I or one of my students usually catches it. Again thank you.

    what about the mvoements of the contralateral eye? how would an eyeball look medially and upwards/downwards

  • @bigbang259
    @bigbang259 3 года назад

    when i press onto my eyeball, why it doesn't move inside of the skull?
    looking at this pics i don't see anything that would prevent the eyeball to go deeper inside. But still even hard pressure doesn't shift it significantly

      Because the eye is in the eye socket, there's bone behind with only 3 holes for the nerves, arteries and veins to pass though, so the eye is placed in the socket and will not go further inside

    You need to have muscles on your muscles.
    You need to have muscles... On your eyeballs!

    Nice video , there are mistakes that the superior oblique is responsible for move the eyes down inside (addiction)and not outside , also for inferior oblique it should move the eyes up inside (addiction)
    Also superior oblique M move the eyes in , and in case its have under action then the eyes wil go out a littel from the center
    Also the inferior rectus M move the eye down(center and outside) and a littel in (addiction)
    I studied this because we have very stupid doctors in my country , i have problems in one of the eye and they increase the problem instead of fixing my eye. The problem is i can't fix my eye , i need a copy of me 🤣
    When someone specialized in field he/she should cover everything in it, that how I'm in the IT field
