Didn’t expect to enjoy this conversation so much. So many of these rituals are wildly relevant to me. A little over a decade ago an older woman gifted me honey while I was out walking my dog, as a blessing for my home. Around that time I really started envisioning the spirit and vibe I wanted my home to carry rather then just the stats (bedrooms etc). I now have everything I wished and wanted in a home, it took over 10 years but it arrived. And the lightening! A year ago while I was cooking our home was struck by lightning. The energy in the air was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It was thick. Tangible. Like I could scoop it with a spoon. That night I absolutely unleashed, raged on my husband. Everything came out and it set the slate clean and we’ve been so much more aligned since.
I have listened to almost every podcast episode, the content is always so good. I love that you continue to relay tangible tips to your listeners. I have to say this episode was on another level, my favorite so far. Very unlike me, but I had to pause to cry and release, I just felt like I was with people who get it, why we’re here and our place in the natural world. So many synchronicities as well. From my own experience with lightning and so much more. Thank you for this conversation, it has really made me feel like I am not alone in my feeling and understanding of our world and that everything is truly so connected. One last thing, the realization that our great disconnection, or at least mine, seems to stem from the lack of authentic connection, a searching for something meaningful. ❤
How important is it to seek out a guide to receive the assignment from? Is it possible to discern an assignment may align within you and task yourself to do it?
I’m a fan of Olivia and I’m not going to discredit the guest on the show in any way. However, (as a west African woman) we really have to ask ourselves is it okay to sit and discuss the culture and spiritual practices of people who originated it without them or their descendants present in the room.
I found the guest explained her connection and respect for the practices clearly. I think we all had the same question on what made her “qualified” to be sharing and practicing this divination.
