Mate, fair play. Great that you shared this. It's difficult for people to talk about this, especially the changing of those relationships that have grown around alcohol.
I really appreciate this man, my life has really changed over the last 5 years for the better so hopefully I can reach some more folks with practical ways to make a change!
yeah I remember ep 1, I mentioned I was running the city to surf, however the week before, I went on a uni ski trip and was just boozed up for a bloody week, came to the city to surf, did not feel as though I performed at all, 1hr 17. Seriously reconsidered my health goals, started running seriously. Signed up for the three bridges run, little 42km fun run, and with real training and focus I finished under 3hrs 40mins. Since then have also changed my relationship with booze, training for a triathlon nows so I just feel as though "getting on it" would only set me back. but will have a few on special occasions, either low carb or zero's in moderation. Love the vids tho, the recent tri mob cycle was such a g up for me and my cycling. love seeing your vids pop up on my RUclips recommended. keep it up :)
Julian thanks so much for sharing dude! The uni trips will get you hey - although at that age you can still somewhat function when it comes to sport post beverages... although, it sounds like we've seen similar results in ditching it. Congrats on your achievements mate! Sounds like you've been on an epic journey with you sport and it makes me happy you have been following along man! Are you in Sydney? We'll have to get a run in sometime. All the best and thanks again great man
Class that you have done it mate every time I mention what I am doing people just say how incredibly beautiful it is! So I genuinely cannot wait - the video will hopefully be sick too 🙏🏻 Thanks as always for your support dude
I'm currently at the sober curious stage, I know how damaging it is without it being 'a problem' but despite drinking and loving no-los, I still struggle to kick the habit entirely. I also have a wine qualification and love it, so the social and habitual conditioning over time has meant I'd struggle to go a restaurant and ignore my urge to sift through the wine list and pick out something special, especially if it's a celebration. But I track my health and sleep stats, as rudimentary as they are, on a smartwatch and I can see the effect alcohol has on my system. It's sadly the same with fatty foods or meat products. I know I'd be a lot fitter and healthier being a dry vegan but I can't quite get over that level. Also, living in Spain, it's barely possible 🤣
Mate it’s different for everyone hey and a life of balance where you have 1-3 with friends on a momentous occasion sounds lovely, I just like to know where I stand with it to be honest! As someone that has a passion for the sector, it sounds like it doesn’t work for you to quit it forever and living in Spain, enjoying your food and wine with the active outdoor lifestyle there sounds bliss to be honest haha. We are all working it out and none of us have the answers! Sharing our experiences hopeful provide value to others though 🤷 Also glad I was able to confirm we rode together in Girona by looking at your channel! Let’s stay in touch mate
Proud of you Felix and loving the videos
Thank you Benny boy I really appreciate that my friend! Miss you bud and catch up soon

Nice one bro. The Kepler Track is amazing. You will love it there. Expecting a frothing video about that run.
