Maya…it sounds like you need to be a marketing major! But also if there are classes that you’re interested in, there’s no shame in taking them. I’m a 5th year in college because I wanted to go to nursing school and I could under load for my final semester and now I’m just taking electives because I want to…so if you can afford to stay an extra semester and you want to, do it! College is about learning and development and I think a lot of people forget that
So glad you posted today Maya,, i also think the mrketing minor sounds really good, because you will be taking classes you are interested in while also completing the credits you need to graduate and getting a minor that can be really useful in the future.
you definitely don't need to be a major in marketing to work in marketing!!!! (coming from someone who majored in psych and has worked in marketing for a couple years now as my first career!) wishing the best for ya - have fun and learn what interests you! (-:

You are not delululu ..definitely do the extra semester and get the minor. I regret not taking the extra semester and being a double major (yes, it was literally 4 extra classes and I would have had 2 bachelors 🤦🏾♀️)

Darling Maya,this is what I would advise. If your scholarships will allow you to take the other courses and they will pay for it, I would go for that extra semester and take those courses that you are very interested in; the pr, marketing etc
If you're going to take those classes, you should get a degree. People tell you that the degree doesn't mean anything but it does!!! It allows you to make more money once you're put into a position. You would then have two degrees by staying two more semesters! You're actually interested in those other fields and they will only enhance what you're doing with your RUclips account, your social media standing and your film life. It sounds like it's only two terms of approximately four classes is that right?

Film major & minor in Marketing sounds like it’ll look & sound better under your belt.. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Human Services & an Associates in Arts. My college didn’t provide minors but I think I definitely would’ve done a minor In like the therapy route or psychology

I took that black political identity class, mind you this was during the pandemic so everything was online and my motivation was down to say the least, but imma say make sure you get an enthusiastic professor bc it was soooo boring, bc his voice was so monotone and put me to sleep (again this was during quarantine so it’s a little different), but yea it’s lowkey a history class so pick a good professor and do it in person if you take it!
