- Today I test the 2021 Alfa Romeo QV's 0-60 time on the street in its stock form. Many people are unsure of the legitimate numbers this car puts down so I decided to make a final video for anyone who is wondering. Also, I forgot to mention in the video that to launch the car correctly, you put it in race mode, hold the brake and the gas at the same time and hold rpms at 2K. If you hold it too long the car will do a burnout, but if you don't hold the rpms long enough it will bog down and not give the full power. Make sure the A/C is off and windows up as well. with my QV I could not do better than 4.6 sec. I used the infotament tool. Maybe it depends on the asphalt and grip on the ground ....
Conditions are key for sure in RWD cars

I love how for 2021 it has that crackle once it shifts from 1st gear like in the Stelvio’s. Its awesome. Dream car right here

Car and Driver tested its 0-60mph at 3.6seconds. If you get lighter wheels and beefy rear tires..heat them up and then get on a track. Guaranteed it'll do much more. I have seen it recorded that it's 1/4 mile was at 11.6sec....this is stock GT-R speed!!! CAR IS SICK!
Imagine you had lighter wheels, stickier tires, AWD and launch control.. guarantee you you get 3sec flat or 2.9. You can cut at least .5 sec from being AWD. If Car & Driver got 3.6 with those heavy wheels, no launch control and RWD. Being AWD, can knock it down to 3.1sec. Now lighter wheels and launch control can DEFINITELY get you another .2 seconds. Car is a complete BEAST.
These cars have a horrible boost by gear limiter set by the factory. Squadra tuning disables this and it makes it significantly quicker, especially in the lower half of the gear ratios.
can this be done on older QVs or is this a new feature of launching with brake on ‘21s

I believe the newer models have been more restricted with the exhaust due to emissions regulations

In some cars yes, but in rwd sports cars they can handle it because it’s basically the same process as doing a burnout

@@carswithnate yes ok - my bad! Thanks. Looks like it shifts from second to third just before you hit 60 as well. Could be a small factor in reported times.
Take it to the track with some ET Streets .. guarantee it will be low 3’s 0-60 with a mid 11 sec 1/4 mile. I have seen an 11.68 on street tires.

So about the same 0-60 as a Dodge Challenger Scat Pack 1320.
On a drag strip yeah. But on the street the hellcats can’t do a good 0-60

Imagine choosing a Challender over a Giulia.

Why you spend 90k on Quadrifoglio? You can get 2023 Supra with same 0-60 3.8 sec
The Giulia is faster on the top end
