    In the movie, they tried putting two EMD SD40-2 loco's in the front to try and slow down 777, but since 777 and 767, combined HP was 8800, and the combined HP of the SD40-2's was 6000, it was no contest. The reason 1206 did better, was hooked up from the rear end and used it's dynamic brakes to drag 777 down.....at least until the traction motor's blew up......

    Nice to see that the Class 66 engine didn't derail like 7375 and 7346 did in the movie when THEY got in front of 777 and attempted to slow it down.

    11:50 As a European, Ive Never thought That the American loading gauge was that large considering they use standard gauge like us, Man that is a big locomotive, Hell even the Tanker cars Are bigger Than the Class 66

    (Edit: Wrong locomotive manufacturer mentioned. I said EMD instead of GE like an IDIOT. Corrected as of 11/29)
    This was great!...except for one thing. TSW4 did a thing where once you hooked up to 777, it MUed them with the Class 66, meaning once you hooked up, you were controlling their throttle and brakes as well, and the Class 66 wasn't _really_ stopping them itself. Also, just a cool tidbit, 777, and its twin 767, are GE AC4400CWs(numbers pronounced forty-four hundred)

    3:37 molten phenol is what 777 hauls in the movie, used in glue manufacturing and is highly flammable

    THIS IS AWESOME!!!!, However, Next Time You Use Triple 7, Go Onto The Unstoppable Wiki, And Look Up The Triple 7 Train Layout From The Movie, Cuz It Has The Entire Layout On The Wiki, and here’s the full consist if your too lazy, first the front: 1 closed yellow hopper, 1 blue closed hopper, 2 closed green hoppers, 2 white closed dome shaped hoppers, 4 black tankers, 3 black open hoppers, now for the rear: 2 bulkhead flat cars, 4 tankers, 2 white closed dome shaped hoppers, 2 green closed hoppers, 1 blue closed hopper, 1 yellow closed hopper, 1 white closed dome shape hopper, 2 green closed hoppers, 1 blue closed hopper, 1 yellow closed hopper, and finally, 1 blue box car, Soo theirs the full consist for you just in case your too lazy to look it up on Wikipedia

    Class 66 has an AAR MU system which is why you're able to control the AC4400CW SD70ACE. In the UK you might as well try Classes 40 45 20 37 31 and 33 locos Blue Star MU system if it works in game

    Unstoppable the movie is based on a true story that happen not far from where I live in Pennsylvania. I have a suggestion for a video, why not do a runaway train at full speed and see how far it gets before it derails with a USA Locomotive.

    The real one was a mixed consist, alsl that 66 is not british, its an SD40-2 in a sausagecasing for bitish loadinggauge

      Class 66 is more like a version of SD70 or SD60 because of 710 engine. SD40-2 is Class 59.

    you should look up the movie atomic train it's an older movie but its a good one. also, a downside to this is that TSW4 sinks the controls. as though locos would push the class 66 like it was nothing.

    The train triple 7 and 767 is a ac4400cw class locomotive
    The main character train or 1206 is a SD40-2 locomotive
    Triple 7 is pulling molten phenol it toxic
    1206 connect to the back of triple 7 it slow it down only the break failed so the second main character jump in a truck and jump 777
    Noch 8 is full power

    The 2nd loco should face backwards,
    And you got the wrong wagons, only 8 were fenol tankers, the rest were grains, pipes, and others...

    The tank cars have Hazmat placards so it is flammable.

      It depends what UN number is on them and what pictograms/placard types it has.
      For example, gasoline would be "1203" with a "flammable" placard. Hydrochloric acid would be "1789" with a "corrosive" placard.
      There are others, such as radioactive (yellow and white), non-flammable gases (green), explosives (orange and black) and flammable solids (red and white stripes).

    As a retired Freightliner 66 driver with over 20 years experience on the WCML, I have to say, your simulation needs a lot of work!!!🤣 FL, 66s don’t have those couplings! The loco, even using its rheostatic brake, wouldn’t have stood a snow balls chance in Hell of stopping that thing. The straight air brake even on a light loco is particularly useless!!, Looked very pretty though!

    I still remember the Triple 7 "disaster" The area I lived in at the time in Ohio was one of the towns the train passed through sadly I didn't actually get to see it as I was in school at the time but as soon as I got home my father told me what was going on and we sat in the living room and watched the event unfold on TV my uncle was one of the state troopers that was deployed to try and shoot the emergency stop switch like they did in the movie the directors and movie company actually interviewed him cause they wanted the movie to be as factual as possible pretty sure there's a directors cut of the movie that contains that interview

    FYI, tanker cars in the movie carried tetrophenol I think , it's like gasoline but more explosive. And the 777 movie train only had 8 tankers, the rest was normal freait bx cars! Any enjoy!

    Those are called “Tank cars” they haul many things, including ethanol, gasoline/petrol, and many more things that could possibly be flammable. as in the movie they were carrying molten phenol
    Edit: And if you think 777 is big, pick the “ET44AC” also known as the “Tier 4 GEVO”

    Train driver did not slip off. He actually jumped off to change the track in the crossing but he got too happy that he did it and then the train passed by. He tried to climb back on, but the train was going to fast.

    The placard on the tank cars in game is 1267.. Which means there's crude oil in them.

    As already mentioned in the comments this might not have worked in the real scenario cause after all they tried using the same model but a single engine to stop 777 and 767 and failed and the engineer tragically lost his life in real life at that speed they would've been thrown out of their seats into the control box when the trains collided

    Why did you count them? On TSW2 at the pause screen, it tells exactly how many cars/engines it is. On TSW3 and latter there should be the same info (may or may not be the pause screen.) [EDIT] As suspected it the info is there, I saw it at 9:48 for the engine that you want to stop the other train with.
