There are 2 types of brakes in tsw4. The vacuum brakes and air brakes. When a train with brake hoses connects to another one, and the train brake is applied, the brakes on all of the engines with air brakes on that train are applied. Same with vacuum brakes if the engines are coupled.

Hello @LaZaR JET hope you are well I love your videos of train sim world 4 and I love the Flying Scotsman she is my favourite steam engine of all time and just a bit of advice if you want to do the same video of the flying Scotsman stopping the run away class 66 diesel you can try stopping the class 66 on it own instead of it hauling a loaded train because I think that slowed down the class 66 but keep up the good work pal class content

sorry for being negative but i recommend that you you retry this because the class 66 is very capable of going fast the reason why it didn't is because the c66 had freight to carry , the brakes weren't cut out and finally high speed wasn't on. to turn on high speed there are 2 switches on the secondmans side (bottom left panel) there should be a high speed switch just flick it and it will go quite fast.
Lazer I dare you to have a LBSCR Terrier stop a runaway b12 or something. But please use terriers more in videos they are my favourite locomotives of all time
Fail when you connected the train you then controlled the brakes for the whole train not just scotsman so ideally you would not connect the 2 trains and just gently bump the bumpers and try to slow down just using the scotsmans brakes and you might find the result is completely diffrent. (ie the class 66 would just push the scotsman like it wasnt there regardless) good video tho.

I like both steam and diesel, for the next one you could do the GWR Class 43 and the Scotsman because the GWR has a knuckle coupler

Next Time, try 2x steam trains & a run away train?
