"Silver": Justin Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu), Nothing, Prurient Rehearsal Performance

- In November 2017, Justin Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu) teamed with Nothing and Dominick Fernow (Prurient) for a one-off live collaboration as part of the 20th anniversary celebration for Fernow's record label Hospital Productions. Revolver was granted exclusive access to the musicians' Brooklyn rehearsal space to film their first-ever practice. Watch the musicians' striking interpretation of Jesu's "Silver" (from the band's 2006 EP of the same name), which elevates the already heady track to new levels of shoegazing awesomeness.

For the love of Christ, PLEASE just make a full lp as a collab project. Everything about how these guys play together is dream team shit and I'd fork out everything for an album of this.
I have a promo flyer ad from one of the Hospital Production shows in late 2018 (IIRC, it was a Halloween show at Vitus w/Akitsa headlining) to promote Hospital Fest 2018 and under the "upcoming releases" it DID include a Jesu/Nothing/Prurient collab LP but since then...nothing. IDK what happened to it, but Broadrick & Fernow are definitely productive & busy w/their main projects so who knows...maybe one day.
I feel like I’m the only one here that loves his singing on this. It’s super raw and fits this version well.

i keep coming back to watch this rehearsal again and again....i'm genuinely impressed, everything fit into place, JK's voice, the guitars, there's a bittersweet feeling to them, it's a huge HIT !!
This is a message for people who wanna make music.Justin is the most influencial guys of all time.He created a bands like Napalm Death ,Godflesh, and i dare to say he created some genre of music.My point is ,you don`t have to shine in posters to be creators.Thank You Justin.

Called Silver but sounds like pure Gold to me.
When my time comes I want to drown in a soundscape like this as I transition from this life and start my journey to heaven. Slow motion rise muffeled and deafing at the same time. It's like being a mile under the ocean and hearing what 100,000 angels feelings sound like as the secrets of the universe are reveled to your soul all at once in the longest most still instant. It wraps you and envelops you in gods love as you journey towards him.

It's the soundtract telling the story of the pandemic reminiscing on its second year, the heavyness and the aural space textures just gives someone the solace to appreciate the majesty of their tune. Truly, amazing musicianship. Or it may just be me.

I love Dysrhythmia.. I took the photo on the back of their Steve Albini Album before Colin was in that group. Never saw a connection between them and Jesu other than affiliation with Relapse. Either way thanks fur the refresher..👍

Justin I hope someday you play Michigan again. We were super bummed when your manager pulled the plug on the Michigan show. This being the second time I had tickets for a Godflesh show that wasn't happening. Sad as myself and all my friends were. We realised (after some confusion ) that it was not your fault. So Godflesh or Jesu or even solo you have many fans here. We would very much like to see you. Been a fan since street cleaner. Really love your music and so do many of my friends. You are always welcome here.

Palermo mentions in the documentary that Fernow had never played with a live band before, so that explains a lot about his performance here.
