I would never have made it through my 20’s without Jesu. Would never understand the aim without hospital in the basement and that black hole of music I entered into. And I would never have hope for the future without a band like Nothing. Thank you all for existing.
For the love of Christ, PLEASE just make a full lp as a collab project. Everything about how these guys play together is dream team shit and I'd fork out everything for an album of this.
I have a promo flyer ad from one of the Hospital Production shows in late 2018 (IIRC, it was a Halloween show at Vitus w/Akitsa headlining) to promote Hospital Fest 2018 and under the "upcoming releases" it DID include a Jesu/Nothing/Prurient collab LP but since then...nothing. IDK what happened to it, but Broadrick & Fernow are definitely productive & busy w/their main projects so who knows...maybe one day.
i keep coming back to watch this rehearsal again and again....i'm genuinely impressed, everything fit into place, JK's voice, the guitars, there's a bittersweet feeling to them, it's a huge HIT !!
@Hlinkova Garda thank you for your kind words. I was in a much worse place then too. I was finishing my semester while feeling miserable. Ive been taking it 1 day at a time. Some days or good some are bad. But the bad is becoming less frequent.
When my time comes I want to drown in a soundscape like this as I transition from this life and start my journey to heaven. Slow motion rise muffeled and deafing at the same time. It's like being a mile under the ocean and hearing what 100,000 angels feelings sound like as the secrets of the universe are reveled to your soul all at once in the longest most still instant. It wraps you and envelops you in gods love as you journey towards him.
This is a message for people who wanna make music.Justin is the most influencial guys of all time.He created a bands like Napalm Death ,Godflesh, and i dare to say he created some genre of music. My point is ,you don`t have to shine in posters to be creators.Thank You Justin.
OMFG!!!! This is like a dream come true for me. Justin, please exteriorize all Jesu ideas in live, personal performances. It's been decisive for me and for many other music addicted for sure. Congratulations.
I don't understand the pain I just don't feel quite the same When you hear them walk away Left you here so you can stay Silver's just another gold When you're bitter and you're old You could tell me anything But not what the future brings Silver's just another gold Silver's just another gold Silver's just another gold
It's the soundtract telling the story of the pandemic reminiscing on its second year, the heavyness and the aural space textures just gives someone the solace to appreciate the majesty of their tune. Truly, amazing musicianship. Or it may just be me.
Justin I hope someday you play Michigan again. We were super bummed when your manager pulled the plug on the Michigan show. This being the second time I had tickets for a Godflesh show that wasn't happening. Sad as myself and all my friends were. We realised (after some confusion ) that it was not your fault. So Godflesh or Jesu or even solo you have many fans here. We would very much like to see you. Been a fan since street cleaner. Really love your music and so do many of my friends. You are always welcome here.
that time you took the metro-north from bpt ct to bkln (north 6?) to see your boys in dysrhythmia open for this new band named pelican & all they could talk about was sharing studio time w/ Broadrick's new, unreleased project called jesu ... early naughts are underappreciated ...
I love Dysrhythmia.. I took the photo on the back of their Steve Albini Album before Colin was in that group. Never saw a connection between them and Jesu other than affiliation with Relapse. Either way thanks fur the refresher..👍
Remembrering one of a best show Îve ever see : DALËK, JESU, ISIS... around 2004... La Loco Paris. EPIC ! Same Years, I Was on the NEUROSIS - Jarboe show in London at the forum... Ah... it’s happen when...I was only 16 y/o xD All the concert i was going after this 2 epic show was never on the same level ... 🖤🤣🤭🤷♂️
Love it. The sound is great, almost like they're in a cavern, empty, hollow , sound echoing back . Exactly the sound of Jesu. And JK is looking older, as we all are I guess. He still sounds the same as in the 90s.
@@onloveandsublimation4912 yeah you can definitely hear him in places, but he's not prominent. Palermo mentions in the documentary that Fernow had never played with a live band before, so that explains a lot about his performance here.
pretty in love with this version. I hope the audio of this entire session is released.... on vinyl. A girl can dream
Same, but I'm a boy

I feel like I’m the only one here that loves his singing on this. It’s super raw and fits this version well.
I love it to blake love jk since 89..
You not alone
Justin is his own musical planet. He is pure and unhinged. Love it.
No blake im with ya
I like it its honest, genuine ... I dont know what the lyrics are but I Don't need to know.

The sound of humanity dying slowly... beautiful.
ONE WORD... WOW
This is incredible. I can’t believe I haven’t heard this until now. Silver might just be the best EP of all time.
This is by far the best version of Silver I've heard... Beautiful collab! Love Prurient, Nothing and especially Jesu.
Love this song. I'm going through a hard time right now. And this helping ease the pain.

@Hlinkova Garda thank you for your kind words.

I didn't know what to expect and took a chance...pretty incredible

This version is so incredible.
If I could go back in time I'd go to this session
What a collab, really happy this happened!
Wow this sound reminds of the early 90's the verve, a storm in heaven. Always wanted to hear something like that, which was also just as good.
i prefer the studio version every day but it's always amazing watching Justin playing 🙌
This is great love the slow build up
Wow. Silver is one of my favourite Jesu tracks and this is just something else. I'm hoping they release this.
I wish this version was released as a single. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!
I bet hearing this live would blow the mind and have somehow even more tonal depth.
This is so rough and gorgeous! Bravo!!
Justin you catch fire to my heart!!!!!-!!!
Justin, the angels sing through you.
Pretty sure i caught dude sampling the room sound to loop back thru... *legit*
good eye.
Fernow is a fucking madman
so much SOUND

Pure gold.

This is fantastic! Thank you.
Amazing work man!💯❤️
What a beautiful sonic feast!
Been listening to this so much the last few days. I think it's a better version than the record. The more urgent vocals sound great

At this point I have to see them possibly collaborate with Boris now. I feel like it could work
Hell yeah; Boris can collaborate with anyone, and make it sound gold (silver?)
very impressive, i can feel that warm embrace à la Slowdive
Greatest thing since anything. There should be a live rehearsal recording floating around somewhere.
2:48 when you get drowned out by your own reverb
It's weird hearing this song in a different key but very cool performance!
Justin is such an awesome musician.
amazing!!! thank you Jesu and nothing.
still love it!!
that mic feedback move is genius
