Agreed, the overall gains aren't great. Where I live the prices of standard 6700 XTs have been pushed down by this release though and they're basically at MSRP at some retailers. So the 6700 XT is more attractive now at least xD Edit: Also, it's the RX 6800 that's been discontinued.

So I would say it depends where you live. But it's definitely not worth an upgrade from 6700 xt. I wish RTX 3070 was closer to msrp, because then I would get it.

@@gooodmusicballaballa you can overclock a 6700xt to match the GPU clock speed but usually the VRAM is limited to 2150mhz max when the 6750xt VRAM runs at 2250mhz. Regardless, the performance is still pretty close. The 6700XT also runs cooler and uses less power as well.
I don't understand how people can possible be upset with this release. More GPUs at MSRP. I shouldn't even need to say more. But I will. 3070s and 3080 variants are impossible to get ahold of. The 6750xt giving you similar to better output, and can be bought on newegg right now for under 600 dollars. The 3070 has a 500 msrp, add on what third party will typically charge for better cooling and etc and you actually have a god damn solution, buy the card that isnt green and you have yourself a 3070+ that cant use raytrace as well. Ray tracing is designed for nvidia architecture is the problem. Hardware is better on all AMD cards. Every game that limited VRAM usage was designed for nvidia cards as well. Nvidia is so popular that they gate keep developmental tech to keep AMD at bay. Yet the AMD's still power house through the bullshit if you ask me. Much better texture capabilites as well. Call me a conspiracy theorist but i think AMD has bumped GPU prices in a handshakes with NVDA to cut back supply and charge consumers more. In the UK a lot of used GPUS like 3070 are near MSRP used while over 30% from retail, during the last crypto 2019 crash 570s were selling for £65 used with 1 year warranty while being £130 from retail whilst new entry level GPUs like 3050 are £260 now. They now they sold a shit ton of GPUs to miners and cant compete with used pricing so are crippling supply and focusing on next generation which has significant performance increases. AMD/NVIDIA are never your friends.....
I doubt it's secret handshake deals. AMD just has zero reason to sell their gpus for cheap if buy-out bots will quickly take them off the shelves just to resell later on like it was with NVIDIA gpus. It's a rational logistics step to increase price if the manufacturer knows they will sell anyways just as much.

What a difference a year makes: I just (May 2023) bought a Power Color Red Devil for $439 @ Newegg. It's a great card and does everything I ask of it but there is no way in hell I would have paid retail+scalper prices for it. You can now find several other 6750xts for under $400 these days. Patience has its virtues.
The obvious choice if you are smart, the RX 6700 XT, but if you more smart then wait until the second hand cards or the next-gen RX 7000 or RTX 4000 series cards.
I think you have SAM off on the 6700XT and SAM on on the 6750XT on maybe some of these. Like in Days Gone, the VRAM and RAM usage are notably higher on the 6750XT and the performance difference isn't linear with some of the other benchmarks. Not trying to be rude at all.
DW I'm an amateur in this space and I've been learning on the job. I do make mistakes with my benches sometimes. It's a bios setting so it's easy to keep track of and I haven't had it on in a while, so it's not SAM. As I understand it hardware monitors like the one I'm using report the amount of RAM being allocated, which isn't the same as being utilised. For that reason it's not a particularly illumating set of data and could probably be left out. I've been trying to look for differences in VRAM and even RAM usage in benchmark videos with SAM. Even in benchmark videos where SAM isn't the target of the test. It's been hard to find steady/common/linear changes in memory usage for me. And, just a suggestion to satisfy my curiosity, maybe you could start to list if SAM is on or off in the description or something? If you think it's even worth doing. Amd should have reduced the price of 6700xt to 450$ and made the 6750xt to cost 480$ , they are taking advantage of the scalping situation otherwise nobody would have bought the rx6700xt and 6750xt if rtx 3070 was at its msrp value 500$

@@Dasenth1614 yo tengo una 6600xt y ningún problema con sus drivers todo perfecto, encima el amd adrenalin es muy intuitivo para hcer muchas cosas y lo podés conectar a tu celular para ver todas las estadísticas en tiempo real de tu máquina, hacer grabaciones y capturas. La 6700xt ahora está a un buen precio y con esos 12gb de vram te dará más ventaja con el tiempo!

Ahora que tengo un monitor 144hz 2k ya me queda corta y quiero irme a una 6700xt (80mil pesos argentinos o unos 400 dolares blue o 3070 a 120mil (600 dólares) pero por el costo beneficio ya me parece claro el ganador solo el factor que me echa atrás son los drivers por mi mala experiencia.
@@Dasenth1614 Hola kapo dependerá de lo que quieras, pero una 6700xt a 80k no tiene competencia con ninguna gráfica en el mercado, no te guies por los drivers un amigo tiene la 3060, le da problemas de crasheo y hasta deformidades con los objetos de los juegos. Recién en reddit un chavón también compartió un problema de drivers en warzone con la 3060 así que todo puede fallar!
the 6750XT is 100€ more than the 6700XT. For 5 -10 fps and more Power Draw it's not worth it. Better to OC the 6700XT and you get basically the same performance. Add some UV and you still have more efficency.

I don't see a bright future for the '50 cards. They could have held off until RDNA3 was ready to street and it wouldn't have hurt them one bit. In fact, if it's as good as they claim it is, then they could really make Nvidia sweat, but if people weren't having this kinda bullshit from Nvidia, how does AMD think they could get away with it either? If anything, they have even less room because the one thing that needed great improvement still remains middling: ray tracing performance.
That's because Ray tracing is built for NVIDIA architecture and not the AMD. It's not apples to apples. That AMD hardware is better. Every game the 6750 did worse on, was a game built for NVIDIA cards. You'll notice none of the titles using all of the 6750's VRAM. While horizon 5 did. Hence the performance jump.

It didnt use all of the vram of the 3070 either. The game just takes what it needs if it can, not what the gpu has. There might be some games that favor nivdia, but thats true too for AMD (e.g. Valhalla). In regards to ray tracing this is simply AMD's first gen attempt at it, nvidia's first gen were crap at it too (20xx series). Ray tracing is NOT made for nvidia architecture, they just were the first to produce hardware that were capable of doing it in games.
6750 xt is just an overclocked 6700 xt, do manual oc with 6700 xt and u will got same perfomance by increasing tdp and clock to 2700mhz, i have done it in 3dmark and beat 1st in my country
I do not regret getting my 6750xt on sale though Amazon a couple weeks ago for $464, and it's pretty much on par with my old 3070ti. I have zero complaints about it, as I won't support Nvidia because they are a bunch of assholes.
What is it, why can't I find the RX 6700-6750 XT tests in the Dying Light 2: Stay Human game, where the DX12 Ultra Raytraced settings were set, in 1080p and without FSR, are these cards so weak?!
@@topisalonen8813 In overclocking, the RTX 3070 produces 55-65 fps without any problems, I bought myself a GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING OC, and overclocked it to 2010 by chip, and 16000 mhz by memory, and it is at max settings in the game Dying Light 2. Stay Human reproduces it without problems, and with DLSS the game goes to 80-90 fps!

I got rx 6600 xt all setting maxed i get 70 - 100fps but with fsr 2.0 i get like 100 - 160fps (on 1080p) 3070 and 6700 xt are both good cards but i would maybe pick 6700 xt because of 12gb vram

Hilariously obvious which games are designed for Nvidia and which aren't. Where the 6750XT falls behind in every game, you'll notice it's not using all of its VRAM. They are all using around the same amount as they are capped due to programming. Every game where it utilizes all of its VRAM it comes out on top. Buy what you like but I'll go with the card that has more VRAM and much faster texture loading. AMD for me.
It is blindingly obvious. Favorite GPU I ever had was an R9 290. Amd makes fantastic cards. I’ve owned Nvidia cards in the past but have always found their software to be janky. I’m replacing an nvidia card this week with a 6700 XT.
Despite Team Green's being complicit in the gouging of the past couple years, I'd still go with them, because for the things I do with my system like Blender and video editing, AMD just doesn't hack it. And yes, this is primarily for games, but when you're stuck with a GTX 960, gaming is probably the least of your concerns. The thing bottlenecks at 720p. Needless to say, once I can move into a quasi-decent card, all that will change.
I just got mine at micro center for 500$, its a triple fan too, far better then the 700$ 3070 TI they sell there for the more or less same performance.

@@fpscomputers976 test the 6700xt with the May Preview drivers. A lot of outlets are reporting decent gains with it on the 6000 series. I don't have Days Gone, and I haven't reinstalled RDR 2 yet to check, but in GTA 5 with every maxed out, excluding MSAA, and all the advanced graphics set on with sliders at max I'm seeing around 120-130 FPS, while before using the 22.4.2 drivers I was seeing roughly 110-120 FPS. I think the 6700XT, at least with the may preview drivers is probably within 3-4% of the 3070, making the 3070 an even worse value considering street prices right now.
It's something you'll have to decide yourself. The obvious shortcoming is that the 6750 has inferior ray tracing and FSR still isn't as good as DLSS. IMO both are good cards and either is more than enough for 1440p ultra gaming.
The AMD cards are running really high clocks, they need more cycles per clock to make up for the cheaper hardware they used. I have eBay "for parts only"feelings for the near future. If they did not hard limit the BIOS on the 5000 series you could clock them to equal the current gen and they would last longer.

On some games the 6750xt doesn’t do a thing. Not to mention on red dead redemption the 6700xt gets 1 fps above the 6750xt.

For how long do you expect AMD not to sell newer gpus... Until AMD comes up with newer generation cards that have +300% performance compared to previous released card? You do realize that any company would go broke due to no periodic sales if they worked the way you suggest it.
@@SillyDillysTunes Literally all of your claims are false, stop spreading false info. What is even the point of your vram claim when it's debunked in the video you comment it under? It didnt use all of the vram of the 3070 either. The game just takes what it needs if it can, not what the gpu has. There might be some games that favor nivdia, but thats true too for AMD (e.g. Valhalla). In regards to ray tracing this is simply AMD's first gen attempt at it, nvidia's first gen were crap at it too (20xx series). Ray tracing is NOT made for nvidia architecture, they just were the first to produce hardware that were capable of doing it in games.
Got my 6700xt for well under MSRP. It's going to be replacing my 3060ti.
6750 xt is just an overclocked 6700 xt, do manual oc with 6700 xt and u will got same perfomance by increasing tdp and clock to 2700mhz, i have done it in 3dmark and beat 1st in my country
I do not regret getting my 6750xt on sale though Amazon a couple weeks ago for $464, and it's pretty much on par with my old 3070ti. I have zero complaints about it, as I won't support Nvidia because they are a bunch of assholes.

I can tell you rn with ray tracing on neither rtx 3070 or rx 6700 xt can output steady +60fps on high / ultra setting at dying light 2
@@topisalonen8813 In overclocking, the RTX 3070 produces 55-65 fps without any problems, I bought myself a GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING OC, and overclocked it to 2010 by chip, and 16000 mhz by memory, and it is at max settings in the game Dying Light 2. Stay Human reproduces it without problems, and with DLSS the game goes to 80-90 fps!
@@Igoresik Yeah with overclocking and still can't output steady +60fps. Dlss and fsr make huge difference in DL2 but impact the quality too. I got rx 6600 xt all setting maxed i get 70 - 100fps but with fsr 2.0 i get like 100 - 160fps (on 1080p) 3070 and 6700 xt are both good cards but i would maybe pick 6700 xt because of 12gb vram
@@topisalonen8813 It's strange that your RX6600 XT gives out more fps at maximum settings and in 1080p resolution in Dying Light 2. Stay Human than RTX 3070!
And there is no sense from memory, if the GPU is weak, my friend over there bought a Radeon VII, and wanted to play 4K, but now he plays with difficulty, even in 1440p!

Hilariously obvious which games are designed for Nvidia and which aren't. Where the 6750XT falls behind in every game, you'll notice it's not using all of its VRAM. They are all using around the same amount as they are capped due to programming. Every game where it utilizes all of its VRAM it comes out on top. Buy what you like but I'll go with the card that has more VRAM and much faster texture loading. AMD for me.
It is blindingly obvious. Favorite GPU I ever had was an R9 290. Amd makes fantastic cards. I’ve owned Nvidia cards in the past but have always found their software to be janky. I’m replacing an nvidia card this week with a 6700 XT.

Despite Team Green's being complicit in the gouging of the past couple years, I'd still go with them, because for the things I do with my system like Blender and video editing, AMD just doesn't hack it. And yes, this is primarily for games, but when you're stuck with a GTX 960, gaming is probably the least of your concerns. The thing bottlenecks at 720p.
Needless to say, once I can move into a quasi-decent card, all that will change.
I just got mine at micro center for 500$, its a triple fan too, far better then the 700$ 3070 TI they sell there for the more or less same performance.

Regarding driver, you should try out the new "AMD Software Preview Driver May 2022", gives a lot of boost in DX11 games like GoW etc
@@WarlockSRB In these benchmark runs the 3070 does come out 6% faster overall than the base 6700 and the 6750 is only 2% faster than the 3070.
@@fpscomputers976 test the 6700xt with the May Preview drivers. A lot of outlets are reporting decent gains with it on the 6000 series. I don't have Days Gone, and I haven't reinstalled RDR 2 yet to check, but in GTA 5 with every maxed out, excluding MSAA, and all the advanced graphics set on with sliders at max I'm seeing around 120-130 FPS, while before using the 22.4.2 drivers I was seeing roughly 110-120 FPS. I think the 6700XT, at least with the may preview drivers is probably within 3-4% of the 3070, making the 3070 an even worse value considering street prices right now.

It's something you'll have to decide yourself. The obvious shortcoming is that the 6750 has inferior ray tracing and FSR still isn't as good as DLSS. IMO both are good cards and either is more than enough for 1440p ultra gaming.

The AMD cards are running really high clocks, they need more cycles per clock to make up for the cheaper hardware they used. I have eBay "for parts only"feelings for the near future. If they did not hard limit the BIOS on the 5000 series you could clock them to equal the current gen and they would last longer.
i can clock my 1080 for example to the clock speed of a 2080, but that doesnt mean it runs just as well as a 2080
