It feels like cheating. In addition to actually acquiring all codes & passwords, you made this run with ALL those insane conditions! Simply amazing. Some thoughts along the way: 00:23 "Not so fast, JC". Priceless. 30:00 They didn't teach JC that trick in the academy, that's why he keeps messing up. 33:36 Not so busy he can't play a few notes. 40:00 "Who let this lunatic in here?", must Mr Hundley be thinking. 41:15 That crate is becoming one real Companion Cube, wouldn't you say? When entering MJ12 facility in VersaLife, COME ON, you could have just clicked "12" on that pad. :) I mean, WHO in the world would not guess it's 12, so it's legit, right? ... Then again, JC has been running around and skipping conversations in such pace he hasn't even heard of the Majestic Twelve so far, so I guess he could not have figured out the code... 51:20 I think JC is taking Carter's "infiltrate and evade" advice a bit too literally. No wait, he never heard it. 1:14:58 Hilarious!! 1:24:37 JC & Jock are doing their speedrun so fast they left poor Nicolette behind! 1:27:18 JC, the dirty harasser, pushing the young woman in the corner in this dark place... He clearly needs a break from this exhausting speedrun and desires Nicolette, wanting to stuck his nano-augmented organ into that chick. 1:28:58 JC's so pissed at Nicolette he can't type. 2:10:40 The bomb can't finish its explosion sequence before Tong stops talking and Jock gets to utter his last line. What a considerate bomb. 2:10:58 Jock became an instant angel: speaking from beyond the grave. The pilot may die but won't lose his wings. 2:22:20 The insane speedrunner finally got a heart attack and died at his PC. Love it how you chose the best ending! Quickest to do perhaps, but it's only fitting for the superspeedrunner to become a demigod.

I personally refer to it as the Crate of Destiny, but I'd also agree and say that it is the original Companion Cube. -The "12" statue code in Versalife was something I actually used in my first Ultimate Run, but I ditched it for a few reasons: it is possible to progress without it and the conditions do say no passcodes without acquiring them, and it's necessary to go up the elevator to the red room overlooking the lobby to get the "MChow" login from the datacube either way (which I didn't do in my first run). -After dealing with Nicolette I was pretty salty. My keyboard layout was changed by accident before I'd started the run, and the mapping for the underscore keywas in a different place. I was trying to find it on the spot. It was "fun". -Jock is forever. -Concerning the long wait at the security panel, I was waiting for the grey to move into an ideal position away from the door. If you open the door with the grey too close to it, there's a high chance it will wander in and not come back out, blocking your way. -As for the ending, it's actually the only survivable ending under Ultimate Run conditions. Tracer Tong's ending requires taking a lot of radiation damage, and the Illuminati ending can't be survived for the same reasons. Again, thank you so much for enjoying the run. You might also be interested to know that I'm currently uploading a segmented version of Ultimate Run with a much faster time and new, riskier strats, including the fulfillment of the Crate of Desiny's TRUE destiny. Simply astonishing run! Finally one without pre known codes or glitches! This is my favourite game of all time and I still play it at least twice a year. Even with its old graphic there isn't another game which gives me this level of immersion. Mainly because the game doesn't judge you by giving XP, karma or whatever points for everything. Especially not more points for a certain play style than another. One also doesn't feel watched or judged again by steam achievements, online highscores or other players and their achievements etc. This game is completely offline. There is nothing in this game reminding you of the outside world. No 15 year old pussydestroyer69 calls you a noob. No percentage bars for game or level completion. No special items for reaching a gold time in Level xy. No community events. No micro transactions or loot boxes you can only open with the corresponding smartphone app. Nothing of that kind. You are alone. The streets of New York City at night. The world is against you. Everything is possible and permitted. Nobody is watching but your conscience. Such a wonderful game. I wish they would produce games like this today. And I haven't even talked about all the different ways one can solve a problem which results in different dialogs and options etc. In a game from 2000! Thank you for sharing this truly worthy tribute!
I mostly agree, but for my taste, the manoeuvre at 11:52 is not clean, because without prior knowledge you would not have guessed he has a LAM, for me that's like using a pre known code. You at least have to talk to him so he will tell you he has a LAM.

You can use quicksaving and loading to pass through lasers and other obstacles, like the fan blades at the beginning of Area 51. Quicksaving and loading for safety before a dangerous part is okay, but abusing it to avoid obstacles is what I meant by "No quicksave/load abuse." Maybe I should amend that be more clear.
It is for the most part. In the segmented version you can see a slightly different strategy that basically boils down to hiding from the trooper down in the alley by breaking his line of sight by using the grating on the fire escape until things cool down. It's a little better than the single segment take, but even then it's still pretty dodgy.
@@willstanton7823 Lol :p I know, it's sad, but saving Paul DOES have huge implications on the run. To save Paul by dying at the 'Ton in Ultimate Run means you'd have to get shot in head and nowhere else, which is really inconsistent and time consuming. Plus you wouldn't be able to carry a TNT crate to Battery Park to kill Anna, so you'd have to deal with her while escaping from UNATCO, and that'd be impossible since you wouldn't be able to use the grenade trick to scare her into opening the door for you (no weapons/inventory use allowed ).
I do use a mouse but I didn't use a mousepad for this run. My nerves might've made my movement a little choppy, too. Also, I try to use keyboard shortcuts in menus and login screens as much as possible.
