DEUS EX SPEED RUN GLITCHLESS/EXPLOITLESS

Yes indeed, in the category no glitch/exploit this is currently as per upload date 11/2/24 a world record. It took me months to master it, hope you enjoy it.
Full Run is 60 Min and 17 sec but the loading map time is exactly 1 min and 14 sec therefore the real speedrun time is: 59:03.
PS. I know on speedrun there is a faster run but in the video you can clearly see the player using exploit therefore making the run non valid for that category.

Great job man! I see some small spots for improvement, like not messing up some computers and the Vandenberg Underground jump (the latter of which is tricky), but overall you kicked ass.

At 42:44 you can jump up on the pipes/wire conduit on the left wall to cross the gap safely - might be a more safe strat than just jumping across directly/using the elevator

Nice. If youre interested, the gmdx mod is a fantastic and realisitic version of deus ex, im interested to see speedrunners try it glitchless on the harder modes

@@deusexpert hahah yeah fair enough. But try gmdx mod if u haven't already it's a lot of fun and adds new areas, and perks in addition to skills, augs and skills are reworked and enemies have improved AI, also u have stamina that drains, amazing mod

Also, your time is faster than the other run on Speedrun that's also on Easy difficulty, so (assuming it's validated) should already be WR in that category. Curious what exploit you see in the Realistic run (having not watched through it again recently)

@@deusexpert Yep, looking through that run now, I see that. A reasonable question about what exactly is considered a glitch or exploit (Personally, I'd also probably call jumping and toggling speed aug an exploit, but it at least makes sense, physically, whereas the wall is certainly not intended to have a hole through it)

@@TheAstropath I like what you said about the aug speed, I think it's very borderline since I guess you're using mechanics of the game, but yeah, using wall exploit or launching the knife to stop a dialogue I guess it's considered exploit.
