Yes the wing bolts screw in to existing threaded inserts in the seat frames they would have been for a full metal bulkhead attachment and the D rings are already there fir lashing points.
@@Li-qq6oz hi there it was the low spec basic model which was fine. Just bought a Tekna eNV200 and done something similar but this time went for a rock and roll bed. I'll be putting a video of that together next week. We went for the Tekna this time as the day Mac takes your to a charge point when your low on battery and you get a full size reversing camera.
Oh...the E-one is good for our environment :) One more video? That would be nice :) Maybe i will bu y an Nissan next week. In the autumn and winter I want to expand it.

it was a 2012 with 45,000 miles on from new not the slightest trouble, 48+ mpg was a good reason to buy, Bluetooth, hands free, reversing camera all good, needed more space for use as a work van os have vauxhaull Vivaro now watch out for that conversion video soon.
it's not his idea...and you can't patent something like this anyhow. If those fasteners were a brand new design and he manufactured them, he could patent that...but he didn't, so he can't.
i like your setup thank you but wouldn't go with the black out screen on the outside, if you get bad trouble or something and need to leave fast , put it on the inside, be safe and thanks again

The mattress is 1.95 metres long and the two front seats can stay upright in the driving position but we tended to flatten the passenger seat for somewhere to put a big and glasses.
No description, but it appears that you have RIVNUTS mounted in the structure of the van to thread into. I don't see enough DIY van conversion people using them that seemingly should be. They have tremendous strength and the ability to remove the bolts time after time hugely exceeds a simple sheet metal screw. Nice conversion to "wing bolts" by welding on the flat pieces so that no tools needed.
The front section attached to m8 nut inserts already in the seat bases for attaching a bulkhead to in installed, the to of the right hand rear unit attached to a load restraint bar which was already in the van it's the sort of thing you get on floors someone to strap things like wheel chairs down too. Thanks for studying the video so closely.
Richard, can I buy a copy of your plans? I’m a single woman with no drafting skills but I bet I could build it if you told me how! I could even return them after I’m done, if you are keeping them on the low, I respect that.
What model year is your NV200? How many miles do you have on it? What mechanical problems have you had? I'm trying to decide between a 2017 Nissan vs. the Ford Transit Connect.
yeah, diagonal makes sense...that and/or putting feet on the layed down front passenger seat. (or maybe they were referring to sleeping in the pop-top bed...idk)
pretty cool...you could maybe make a little money on the side just selling diagrams on how to build that furniture. Don't understand why the US version of the NV200 only gets 25 mpg(?)
Yep I guess you may be comparing diesel with petrol/gasoline and your is gallon being smaller. In UK the petrol only does 33 which is 28 in us gallons. Next project is a fiat Ducato diesel 3.5 ton 48 mpg.
@@richardcresswell7096 You won't get 48mpg from that. I can barely get that from the Berlingo minicamper i'm making up. i would have rushed and out a bought one. More like 25-35 in real world with load out on country lanes.
@@flybobbie1449 hi there don't know if your in the us with your small gallons? But her in UK on diesel 48 was the normal and if it dropped from that I knew I either had a flat tyre of the air filter need changing. If you hammered up and down motorways at 70 plus all day you were down to 42.
Ian Van Mann - I think you'd have plenty room and moreso especially if a single traveler, you can extend bed to include the folded or back/completely removed passenger seat space?
Alison Cresswell - I think publishing a tutorial brochure on Amazon & posting the link w/ your videos would be an awesome combo. Everyone would have access to the design & you'd make some coins. Paper/hard copy to start, I wouldn't sell an ebook, downloadable or pdf format till much later. Thoughts?
Nice work on a lot of it. The woodworking is clean. BUT DON'T SAY A WORD!!! (always seems weird to me when someone posts a video with audio, but never says anything... it's just... odd)
I agree, there's really not much of an excuse for a video without audio. If there's wind or your mic just sucks, overdub some narration over the video. As far as a language barrier (for those in non-english speaking countries), they can just mute the sound.
The average American has never owned a hammer they always show these things by Master mechanics in master workman's how about somebody who's never owned the tool
Best one I've seen. I like that you can convert back and forth from camper to cargo van. Very nice.
Best conversion for this van I've seen yet. Beautiful. I am going to try this layout in my van.
Hello from Canada. Wow! Well thought out. It was like watching someone putting a puzzle together.
Love how you built this! Evil Genius or Engineer!
Nice well though out and exquisitely done, thanks for sharing

Beautiful fit and finish Sir, thank you so very much for sharing.
Brilliant! A guy that knows how to do stuff, rather than talk about doing stuff!👍
Cooker worked well for 2 years now doing will with new owner.
Hello, it is very brilliant ! I would like to do the same ! Is this possible sharing the plans? thanks a lot
No I just made it as a one off if you have a van you will work out most of the dimensions easily.
Nice woodworking details!
This lad has been busy
Well done! Doing like this you can use it both as a "work-car" and camping-van.
Don Richard, muy buena idea.
Very clever. You should Patton it so knowone can steal your idea. And sell them..... I'll be your first customer

This has got to be the most genius nv200 camper van design I have seen. You should sell your design. I would love to do this myself as well.
Awesome design thanks for sharing! What's the brand & model of the little grey cooker? Link?

I like those sliding windows. Could you let me know where you got them? I am looking for exactly that! Thanks ...
All the window glass came from a vehicle glass supplier just North of Birmingham UK I'm sure Google will find the them for you.
Got one of these vans they are superb but the size from firewall to back door is 6ft
So if your over that forget a camper van
I'm exactly 6 ft and considering one. However, I've read of guys 6'4" sleeping in there comfortably...don't know how they do it.
Probably corner to corner failing that I haven’t a clue
I transport 6 ft fence panels and there bang on .

you did a smart job
Very nice set up.
what is the electric box under drivers seat and how much was it, wonderful job
gordon jamiesn battery for fridge charged from main battery via split charge diode all cheep eBay probably
Now that is cool !
Where do the wing bolts screw into Richard? Are those existing female threads part of the cargo van? And the Ds for the bottom of the turnbuckles?
Jim Brown hi did you see the explanation I put up in the comments box?
I do now yes, thanks. This is a very clever convesion

great video, what length is the bed im 6 foot 3 and seriously buying this van as my second conversion
2 meters Grest van
will be a tight fit...but if you install a pop-top, you can stretch all the way.
