Thanks for the video content! Forgive me for butting in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you tried - Millawdon Future Ticket Trick (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a good exclusive product for teaching children to read without the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my best friend Jordan at last got cool success with it.
I had been stuck with comprehension questions for a year now, i can't believe there are so many creative ways to work with a reading! amazing vid! My students will feel more engaged with the readings now! Thank you!
This is the best video that I've ever watched! I want to apply these activities in class to help my students improve their reading comprehension!:) Thanks a lot!!
Thanks so much for this great video! I had just finished watching several unenlightening - and in my opinion way off track - videos about reading activities. Your video is exactly what I was looking for! You mentioned a few things I've thought of myself but many others that I'd never thought to do. These really excited me! Thanks so much for the great ideas and also...you're handsome!
You're gonna make me blush :D Thanks Ash! Yes, I enjoy making these videos with tips and practical ideas I would use in class. I still need to do a writing activities video but I'll get on that later. Have a great week!
etacude A writing activities video would be great!! I’m almost finished getting my degree in English for Secondary Education and my current course is all about teaching writing. I’d love to see something beyond the classic graphic organizers, something that gets the kids excited and allows them to work together, get active, etc. So I’m looking forward to your video! 😊 If it’s really good I might even propose! 🤣
Dear Eric I am from Uzbekistan and English is becoming a really crusial language in my country for about 3-4 years. Thanks to your videos I could improve my teaching method. Appreciate your job. Thanks a lot
Thank you so much. Your video is really helpful! I'm running reading club and having difficulty in teaching my middle school kids. I got awesome ideas thanks to you.
Wow! This is about reading impresses much! It is so good that you pay attention to it! Because in today's world most of young students prefer to watch cartoons or video instead of reading... But reading is leading! When you master the information, you master the entire world. 😁
Thanks so much for these insightful activities! Greetings from China;) By the way, could you please expalain why the Tarantino activity is named this way a bit? Does it have something to do with the Tarantino the director? Thx!
I really agree with your idea that it's special more important for non-native English speak students to get and enjoy reading lead by trainer. Like your videos a lot!!!
wonderful!will I get remind message about your new video? I'm newer here. I really like your style, and I work in education to run some programs, if you are interesting maybe we can make some videos to our students?
Haha! Thank you Sun. Honestly, I'm just another teacher to my students. Always asking them questions and getting them to do work. 😄 But I hope I can find some fun things to share in the future!
Hi Jose! Dictogloss is a fun activity that I've used in the past. I use it post-reading. First we discuss the topic, then I read a text to the students and in groups they have to piece the story together. If you use the right story, students will love this activity! :D
Thank you!! It's so nice to see how education has changed to a more dinamic environment. I will definetely apply some of these activities, and thank you again for sharing your knowledge. Lots of success.
Hi Eric. Really found this video helpful esp. for a newbie like me. Been thinking about 'tarantino'. Hope to know why it's called that way and does it have a connection with Quentin Tarantino? Your reply means a lot, thanks!
Hi Diofeleen! You're right, it's based on the director Quentin Tarantino since he likes to mess with the timeline in his movies (like Pulp Fiction) and the reading activity is also changed. Let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks a bunch for this interesting video , i really appreciate these ideas , please do more videos concerning : speaking , listening, grammar and vocabulary

Would you enlight me as to what's the difference between make a mistake and do a mistake? I never heard the latter before. Thanks a lot in advance.
Omg I can’t believe I found this super amazing video. Thank you so much Eric. You just helped me out of this misery of doing a teaching project for my undergraduate program🥺🙏🏻
Eric, thank you for reply! I am from Russia and taught students at the University for the first time in my life. It was a practice for me as an undergraduate. I taught 10 periods and now my practice came to its end, but I realised that it was something I really liked! Your videos helped me to make up lesson plans and to understand that I am not alone in my feelings as a teacher who only starts his or her career. Thank you so much, you do a very useful and inspiring job!
great video really, thank you so much. But not all reading texts are about stories, characters or special moments. Many texts are about different topics, e.g. an article about nutrition or why are many people becoming vegetarians.. in this case many of the suggested activities wouldn't apply..
Here's another video on speaking activities:

Hello Eric. My question is - if the lesson is one hour, how much time do you spend reading to kids aged 6-9 ?
It depends what your goals are. I guess I would prefer them taking turns to read up to a point, then do activities based on what they have read or at least question them.
I wouldn't go longer than 10 or 15 min at one time. Spread it out and go over what they have read in between reading.
