Love my 14 for chinook trolling still my favorite for same. My 16 is fantastic for lingcod rock cod. I have about 16 reels & I always grab these 2 over the very high end others.
@Edward Paynter lol maxel smokes shimano lol but there's a big cost compared with shimano. Shimano is the best consumer gear. If ya want the top of line stuff. Like most big game charter boats are now using in NZ you want Maxel
@@brett5649 shimano is good as have a talisa 25 But I've got a maxel and maxel does leave shimano for dead in terms of quality and drag and general build. Love mine but so expensive compared with shimano though you get what you pay for hey
Hey anyone, got offered a 20hg with rod and multicolour braid for good price wondering if they go well for snapper and likes? Not keen for Lingus just yet but mainly for baits and snapper?
Do you fish a lot of fishing around rocks and reefs? This gear looks a bit light to muscle the snappers off the bottom before they get back into the rocks.
We sure do, we use this set everywhere from strayling in the shallows, to dropping on deeper foul. This wee set has a-lot of grunt. On the same day that we filmed this review video a guest angler caught his 20lb Snapper on that exact set.

Love ya channel Matt,
You rule!
Ask for advice/what is the best to buy?toriom hg16 or 20?/thanks a lot and what the differences
Get a 16 it's the same as the 20 but has a narrower spool and is lighter and still holds a ton of line
What’s the line class of the rod?
This is an advertisement not a review
@Edward Paynter maxel is the best mate. There's a reason shimano buys there drag systems for there top of line models

A bit light?!
Don’t think so!
Tourism outcasts the Trinidad reel and the bait swims better with the Torium too. At least it does out here in Southern California 👍👍👏👏👏
The real will not affect the way a bait swims.
Is it good for slow jigging
This is my first time to a fishing lesson. Interesting information. #Rose Riis
