    Thank you once again for such a helpful, skilful and informative video. Thank God for RUclips and generous people like yourself who put up free teaching videos like this.I do hope to sign up for Patreon soon. Your explanations for colour mixing has helped me so much as I am self taught. I took up painting following a serious illness that left me in hospital for over 6 months and in a wheelchair for over 2 years. It was trying to paint that kept me sane!! Thanks for taking the time to put these demos up I look forward to them. :)

    Bravo. This is quite probably THE best introduction to 'painting like Rembrandt' I've seen.

    Yet again a remarkable demonstration / tutorial. I can honestly say that I have learned from Yupari far more in a couple of months than I ever did from other online tutorials. If he was in the UK I would ask him to mentor me.

    Yupari, this is still another great Masters paint-a- long lesson. I have been making sketches and notes from most of your previous studies, but as yet, I have not tried to paint along with them. There is so much more that I want you to teach me. Yupari, I seem to work better when I have fixed printed images in front of me. Chris Fronantaro is another Patreon teacher that I am trying to learn from. He sent me a lesson on his Patreon channel of another Master painting, but he did something different instead of the teaching video, where we are to pain paint along with him like you do

    Was on the fence today about trying the transparent mummy, or sticking with the same old transparent red oxide...lol I see its basically just as useful! Thankyou, great job! And cool palette change!

    Yupari, this is Emilleum again. My message to you was cut short. I was beginning to explain to you the new teaching method that The Paint Coach, i.e., Chris Franantaro, sent me on Patreon. He decided his Master lesson into 5 stages, creating painted images for each stage, right up to the final painting. I was able to download each step-by-step image, and through my UPS make 11"×17" tagboard prints of each progressive step. I learn so much better if I have something to follow in my hand. The Master lesson is from Carivagio. By following these prints I will be able to use them in other painting. Yupari, you are such an excellent artist and great teacher, would you ever consider dividing your lessons into stages like Chris so they could be printed off? I have a number of physical issues, and this seems to work better for me. With the videos, I have to stop and start, just trying to keep up, thank you,
    MSG Emil Leum

    I paint commercial signs for 20 years with one shop paints that are lead paint it is like that because the lead make the paint last like 20 years at sun and rain on it and I checked my blood and no lead in it it is not that dangerous as long precaution is taking, signs was sometimes 100 feet long all by brush in that time was no computers or vinyl lettering

    If you put your pallet in the freezer how long does the paint take to thaw out, so that you can start painting again? HB (UK)

    Hey Yupari , I have a question about varnish . If you sell a painting prior to varnishing , do you think it is ok to ever ask the client to apply varnish in 6 months time ?

    While it can be educational to try, Rembrandt was a "magician" and no one can paint as well as he did, at least not in his style.

    i'm wondering if your camera is off - the entire face appears too narrow. If you check the angle from the top of the head to the temple, the angles are different

    • @ellenkoga6887
      @ellenkoga6887 3 года назад +2

      He can't video straight on or he'd have to reach over the camera to paint so its shot at a very slight angle
