    I made a few homemade fruit fly traps to help eliminate them. Great tip. 😎

    I was wondering if moving a bin outside would work! Thanks for describing your experience in such detail.

    You do a great job on your videos! Nice graphics and settings! Very professional🏆 One Question - do I have to wash my egg shells first?

      Bill, thank you for your kind feedback. I appreciate it! you want to sterilize the eggshells by putting them in an oven, microwave or letting them bone dry for at least 6 months. I usually just let mine dry up in the attic or under the sun. For a quicker process, put them in the oven for a good 30 min at 200-250F. Thank you so much for the comment!

    To prevent fruit flies you can also freeze your scraps before adding them to your worm bin😊

    Can I use the worm tea that comes out of my bin for veggie plants?

    • @GardensofNewEngland
      @GardensofNewEngland  2 года назад +1

      Yes you can! But it is not quite "worm tea." It is more like excess water that drips from food scraps being broken down. You can add it to your garden just mix it with water in case the acidity level is too high for comfort.
