I was able to score the black Soho off Poshmark last month for $40. I think it’s insane how these people are reselling these for. I miss the days when you could easily buy vintage coach bags for less than $50.
Hi Millie, i love your coach collection, thank you to share it with us! I understand regenerative lather is still 100% real leather but manufactured in a more environment friendly way. I dont own any new re-edition of the soho bag but i prefer the y2k version, i love the two inside compartments and for the moment i wont be getting the newer version haha
Hi Millie! You really bought these at the right time! In 2006 I got one of my first coach bags and it was a hobo version of the 2nd bag you showed. I want to say I paid $295 and I was sick to my stomach at the time for paying that 😂 Love your videos!
Oh my gosh!! That's so funny - I had no idea they were originally priced that high! That actually makes a lot more sense why they are priced at 350 and 395 now. Thank you for watching!! 🥰🥰
Hi Millie! Sooo cute--love these! I recently bought the soft Tabby in that very tiny signature Jacquard. Love it and it's amazing that the signature is identical.
Regenerative leather has nothing to do with the type or quality of leather, what it actually has to do with is the facility that produces or tans that leather has regenerative business practices. This means that they use energy efficient machines or energy efficient lightbulbs, or they recycle their water. but it has nothing to do with the actual leather itself, and I wish coach would explain that more clearly.
Oh wow! This makes so much sense - I wish they did a better job of explaining that too. The language seemed similar to Coachtopia leather. Thank you for explaining this! Did you find this somewhere on the website or you were just aware of this term before?
@@Mrsquick this is directly from the Coach website “regenerative leathers are leathers sourced from farms that use regenerative agricultural practices such as grazing management and crop rotation. These practices can help to increase biodiversity and increase soil health which can lead to absorption of atmospheric carbon. Coach has partnered with the savory Institute and other half processing to support the transition of farms and ranches to regenerative, agricultural processes that help build a better future for the leather industry.”
Hi Millie, I am enjoying all the vintage/ Original Coach videos and rehabs, Love the history behind these beauties.. and I agree that many are priced much higher in the secondary market these days. I have the original all leather soho in a natural tan color with silver hardware and the leather is just magnificent. Like you, I am curious to know what exactly is regenerative glovetanned leather that Coach is using on some styles. Thank you so much for sharing your collection and looking forward to more videos like these..
I need a soho bag, I've always wanted to. I need to start looking the preloved. I really think that the old releases were so much better than the new ones, same with you, I don't exactly know what is regenerative leather. Love your soho collection Millie, tfs. ❤
Yes I do really think preloved is the way to go with these ones. Keep an eye out because I know some sellers are increasing their preloved prices now that the re-release is out. Most seem to be selling closer to $90 USD now! 😳😳
Hi Linda! There are a few ways you can tell, but one of the ways is by reading the Coach creed on the inside of the bag. This will tell you the year the bag was made, where it was made, and the style code. If you learn how to read these, this is one way to authenticate Coach bags!
Oh you read my mind. I have not fully watched the video yet. But I don’t know if you noticed I made a post about the soho bags for they are all made with “regenerative “ leather as of late. Which has conflicting information online and I’m not completely sure it’s real leather. So I have been looking on the preloved market for the older versions and I have about 3 I’m seriously considering. Now back to video😊
Ok so I am back and watched it completely. So the regenerative leather has conflicting information online. But when conversing with another RUclipsr that recently bought the bag and showcased it on her channel. She says that the term is for a special processed used on the bags to give it, its smooth finish. When I googled it, I was getting the gist of it being bonded leather. I’m still not completely convinced that it’s real leather for there are other bags like the bandits that are smooth leather and don’t have that term associated with it. So I’m looking elsewhere. However the design is pretty ( both old and new) and I do like the updates they made to the bag, but it will be preloved for me. TFS
@@ddbookie Ooooh I did see your post about that!! I really wish Coach was more direct and explained what all these terms mean. @barcostudio made a comment above that it's actually just a term to describe facilities that use regenerative practices when processing the leather, not the actual quality of the leather. I am going to look into this more but know it can be hard to find solid info on this. I am so curious if you end up getting any vintage ones! 😄 Keep me posted because I have a feeling you are going to love the leather quality on them. They feel similar to 90s coach leather!

So interesting hearing about your soho bag collection. I love the color of the suede material. Enjoy the video! Thanks for sharing. 😊
Thank you for watching! ❤❤ I really need to use that suede bag 😂

I personally love the older leather and versions of these bags. Just seem better crafted to me. Thanks for sharing your collection!🙂💖👏🏻

I think a bag giveaway would be awesome! Congrats on 709 subscribers. Love your channel!
I love these vintage ones more than the rerelease. Especially the straps on these feel more substantial 💗 Tfs

I had the foresight of purchasing Sohos before Coach has reinvented it. Price range was between $25 to $35 only. I got three and all in leather.
Baby wipes can clean the interior 😊
I got a suede in tan for $11 at Value Village.
these are gorgeous!! are you selling the red leather one by any chance? ❤
i like the old version, the belt strap is a "thing" i love that 🤣

Vintage ones are definitely better and softer supple than the new ones
