I think wearing the wrong under garments is one of the most common mistakes people make. Having the CORRECT size bra, with the correct straps needed, in the right color will instantly help. Thong / seamless underwear, strapless bra, shapewear, and in nude or black are necessary in your wardrobe!

    • @melliethemortician
      @melliethemortician Год назад +34

Yes and then to make it worse so many of us weren't taught how to find the right bra size or what underwear are appropriate with what. I was raised by a single father so I didn't find a proper fitting bra until I was 18, I couldnt do my own hair until I was 20(he always just paid for it lol), etc and once I did I immediately taught my younger sisters so that they knew how to keep themselves presentable and not look a mess. Its sad to know how many other girls dont know stuff like this either.

This is the first video I’ve watched from you and it was right on time. As a 31 almost 32 yr old woman with no children, I do still love to dress quite sexy & youthful (a little skin here and there) but I’ve been more intentional about keeping it classy and tasteful. I find i love my more mature style much more than how i used to dress at 21! No shame to the younger girlies but the body con dresses don’t really give off the vibe i want to portray at this age. Especially now that my grown woman curves have come in😊. Also, the men i attract are completely different and i love it here! I’ve noticed when i keep it classy the dusties are intimidated to approach. They still drool, but from a distance lol. A vibe. Thanks for the vid girl!🤎✨

I think the flip flops ones being meant for indoor use depends on the country you come from. It's common around where I'm from for people to wear flip flops cause it gets hot and having your feet in covered shoes, or more heavier to wear shoes isn't ideal all the time.
Compared to the sandles from the places you measured those a great if you aren't gonna doing a lot of walking and the sadly reality is that due to the material they make them, its often too thin to support the weight of your foot and they sweat up your feet more often

If you have an actual excuse to wear a bonnet in public, aside from just being lazy with your hair then I don't think its that bad. As long as you don't make it a habit. Very true. Knowing how to fit and dress your shape, size and height are key factors to not looking cheap. I'll go out on a limb and add age too. The saying "there are no age restrictions on the way you dress" is a lie.

    • @reitaebohon7853

@@daffodil4500 Age is a factor. There is nothing appealing when a 45 year old is dressed like a teen but the trick is the designs of the clothing shouldn't be a trend going for the very young. One can steal a little but create a more mature look. Also, a slimmer, older woman can get away with a bit more so the body shape takes lead in deciding what really works.

We need to hold ourselves in high regard like we used to. This is done by the way we speak, act, and dress. Bonnets can easily be replaced with head scarfs tied beautifully. Those that are depressed can use a head scarf to add a little confidence and inch them out of depression instead of wallowing in it. I really care about how my people look as a whole and the way we dress, and carry ourselves now reflect low self-esteem. Today we lower our value and call ourselves b*tches compared to how we called ourselves princesses and royalty then. We cared about the way we represented ourselves and each other. Nobody had that ''why are you worried about me being nosey'' type of mindset because we knew it did us good as a whole. Why get defensive when someone is trying to get you represent your own in a presentable way? Today people are ''me me me'' most of time, why not look beautiful for yourself and us? We used to dress how we valued ourselves in the 1900s on back. During the times we felt inferior, at the same time we always knew we were more than what others made us, and deserved more than what was given. So, we dressed like it. Today we still feel inferior however, the knowledge of our worth is dwindling and it shows. Also, it's fulfilling to be able to look around and be proud of us because we look presentable. We'd feel confident seeing other good looking people who look like us. Not saying you have to go all out all the time, but put in some effort.

As a creative myself and a trendsetter as I design, I don’t follow ‘trends’ as not everything is for me. I think a starting point should always be YOU! Fashion and dressing, hair etc is all self expression. Don’t be afraid to try new things that YOU like and you don’t need approval or if someone doesn’t like it, tough. Especially in Africa there is a lot of judgement about what the next person is doing/wearing and even giving unasked for opinions but if you are looking for help, I love how this lady gives advice. But a lot of how we dress and present ourselves I feel lies within our individuality and in some instances showcases our style and love for fashion
I used to look at the bonnet craze and think I woulllldddd NEVER but again we now live in a world where self expression is so amazing
We also can factor a lot of items and attire being worn is based off of culture and making things which are seemingly inappropriate unattractive or even cheap taken and made to be cute current stylish trendy
The topic of what looks cheap is very subjective
Now before Im deemed a troll lol I truly understand the intention of this video and it appears to be created to help and not harm

Literally every word you said! Yes! Individuality is important. If everyone looked how someone is suggesting they look, we’d all look like plain janes. That’s not how someone might want to express themselves or feel comfortable. Very subjective as you said!!

Thank you sis ! Totally agree . The bonnet in public got go!! Makes us look crazy !! I can’t!!! Just like shower cap in the 80’s was frown upon ! Certain things are meant for home ... leave it at home . House shoes, bonnets, slippers, pj , there is a purpose for everything. And this not just for people of color , it’s everyone . I seen other people do it too... over it !! It make you looks 👀 crazy , lazy and like you don’t care to much about yourself... even if you do that’s the look your giving . Facts!!!

So I came across your channel and while I know there are things that make people look cheap, you mentioned flip-flops. I think this depends on the country that you are from and probably the occasion. What about you are from the Caribbean and going to the beach, what shoes would you wear?

People are vain asf, most people do NOT care what you look like outside. They're living their life, most people, only people who are critical of others as if their opinion matters care. Some of these are correct if you care about dignity but the rest is silly.

I think the debate comes when you have a mom that my have a lot on her plate and is tired but still needs to get things done for her family and is a hurry. So, she ran to the store as is but that’s not who she is as a person as a whole. People are always going to have a moment were they really don’t care some much about their appearance for the sake of someone else’s viewing purposes to be “judged”, and not knowing what that individual is going through at that particular moment in “THEIR” life. Although this is a video that is based off your opinion on another woman’s lifestyle.
